Damian began to walk back towards the camp, He quickened his pace to catch up with Rose.

Rose stopped in her tracks as she heard a dog barking in the distance.

Rose jumped into the tree and hugged it close as she listened for the dogs to go away. She feared it would find her again and rip her apart again.

Sensing her uneasiness, he moved to the same tree. "What's wrong?" He whispered as he sat on the branch, The dogs were getting farther away, but it still didn't feel safe to go back to the ground.

Rose looked at him then hugged him tightly," I don't wanna be hurt again. Don't let them hurt me...I don't like dogs."

"I won't let anything happen to you, I promise. Oh and for the dogs, I won't let them near you or smell you." Damian hugged her back lightly while looking into the distance of the barking.

Rose looked up at him through her hair and smiled slightly, "Do you mean that?" She was shaking less now then she was before and noticing were he was looking she frowned.

Reverting his gaze to Rose's eyes, he responded. "Yes, I won't let you be hurt again, mentally or physically. I know it isn't much coming from a vampire, but I know you trust me." Damian then sat on the branch and listened. "I wanted to see where the dogs and hunters were heading. They are going back into town, they had lost our scent completely." He looked up at her and smiled.

Damian let picked her up before jumping to the ground. "Do you feel safe to walk back to camp? Or must I carry you."

Rose had a smile on her face, "I can walk you monkey...put me down." She was enjoying this walk.
