Clans have special jutsu they never share and have the magic of being immune to the copying aspect of the sharingan. They're unique and those jutsu they do possess are highly guarded. Plus they sometimes grant something extra. Or whatever.

And a kekkie genkai IS a bloodline. All Uchiha have the ability to activate the sharingan, and no, it does not appear outside of the bloodline unless someone has said bloodline [usually an eye] transplanted into them. The Mangeyoku Sharingan was rare within the clan, and the Eternal Mangeyoku Sharingan was almost unheard of.

No they are not the same.

Clan techniques can be learned by people outside the clan... It was said in the show itself. ( Which doesn't apply here, but is still taken into account every so often. )

The only reason the sharingan can not copy a Clan's techniques is because the wielder has to have some semblance of knowledge as to the make up of the technique. Thusly, they'd need the scrolls to understand the technique, and with the scrolls, they'd simply be capable of just learning it. ( Should the show be trusted. )

And Sharingan DOES appear outside of the Uchiha clan. ( this is Canon. Kakashi says his was given to him, but he had heard of people who were not from the uchiha clan having the sharingan. This is Canon as well, and while in the show, has little to no bearing on the rp. ) Even Uchiha's think it is amazing when a member reciieves the sharingan. Why do you think Mikoto ( Sasuke/Itachi's Mother ) never showed signs or was hinted to have the ability? also, the blame for Itachi's friend's death was placed directly upon him ( and rightfully so ) when the other members who were known to have the sharingan found out. They read the secrets of their gift as well, and knew that Itachi killed his best friend ( Who just so happened to be an Uchiha who is said to be without sharingan, even though he is supposedly one of the fastest uchiha ) in cold blood to unlock the mangekyo. While Sasuke learned that simple defeat was necessary, and not killing, therefore defeating Naruto and gaining his mangekyo, this proves that you don't need to kil or defeat someone with the sharingan as was popularly believed.

Long story short, if the Canon Sasuke sob story background is to be believed in this guild, The Sharingan is rare even within the Uchiha Clan, thusly why it is considered a bloodline within the guild instead of being a clan.

Sasuke got his Mangekyou because Itachi died. It required killing the person "Most important to you", not necessarily your best friend as originally implied.

The Sharingan in rare, because it takes extreme cases to activate it. With a bloodline that only activates in near death situations, there has to be a good portion of those that activate it, that actually die immediately afterwards. The reason the clan would be so large with so few users, is because they don't feel like going out and killing themselves to unlock it.

To be honest, none of your evidence from the show is anything I ever saw referenced in the manga. Or the show, but I quit watching that a bit into Shippuden.

Oh, I thought he recieved it from defeating Naruto. I thought Itachi died mostly from his disease/ his own mangekyo killing him.

Hmmm, Most of what I'm referencing is in the first couple of story arcs. Or maybe I just happened to dream this stuff up... confused I really need to figure out a way to seperate thing out more efffectively...

That tap thing that Itachi did to Saskue right before dieing transferred big brothers powers to little brother.

At least thats how I saw it based on how Madara made it seem.

I saw it as just one of those "Remember the good old times" type of things.....leave it to itachi to make things more complicated than they need to be stare
