That's totally cool, my sister never wants to have kids. She actually doesn't like them. And looking at the activites you have planned ( current and school ) I can see how it would be enough.
I have to ask, just because I'm curious. If you don't want to talk about it, please tell me to shut up. Can you explain the difference a bit for me? I get that asexual is that you don't feel sexual attraction, but how does that work with demisexual ( or is it on a person to person basis )?
( I really am not trying to be rude, just to understand. If you want me to delete this post I can. )
Yeah, growing up and getting all the cruddy responsibilities of growing up sucks, but my hubs and I love having a home together. There's just something about building your 'nest'.
Did you move from home or from campus? It is a totally different world, apartment living. The freedom from upkeep, the whole issue of roommate / no-roommate, I loved it for years, but now I want a house ( C'mon 2012! )

Not rude at all! ♥ I believe in being proud of your sexuality~ Even if it is pretty much the lack of it! I thought I was demisexual for awhile. The way it basically works is that you feel no physical attraction to a person. Ever. But you can feel an emotional attraction to them. And that emotional attraction, after a long period of time, can translate to a sexual attraction. But it will be based solely on emotions. Not on anything physical.
It's one of those 'gray' areas when it comes to sexuality. Sometimes I wonder if I'm in that gray area~ But if I am I'm in the very, very dark or very, very light part of it, depending on which color you want to see as asexual. It's more of a spectrum type deal than some people realize.
I had no idea that what I felt others felt for the longest time. I just thought I was strange. Then I found AVEN. And found out asexuality was actually a possibility! And found lots of others who felt the same way! Was great to feel not alone. Until then I was just like: "Why do I feel no physical attraction for whoever I love? D:" But now I'm like: "I love in my own way, and have no desire / need for a physical relationship!"

Okay, I think I get it better now. And I see that you've come to a very enlightened view about the whole thing ( which is good that you understand yourself to such a degree, some people don't even after years and years ).
I think it would be hard to be in that kind of situation, especially considering that so little is out there for information and / or support during the formative years.
I sometimes think that culturally our sexuality ( or lack thereof ) is a constantly fluxuating system ( and that there is so much focus on sex and not on emotion / relation ). There is no ( and should not be ) a right or wrong, just a state of being. As long as the individual and their partner(s) consent to, and find happiness in the relationship, there should be 'free love'. And by all that rambling I mean love, not sex. sweatdrop I need to stop now.

No I get what you're saying! ♥ I think as long as no one is hurting anyone~ They should be left to their own devices. Nothing wrong with being straight. Nothing wrong with being homosexual~ Bi~ Asexual~ What have you. As long as no one gets hurt! And I think everyone should have pride in themselves and who they are. Since there's no changing it anyway! I love AVEN. They do a great job getting information out! But it's still not widely known that asexuality is a possibility. So a lot of people go through a large part of their life as an asexual who doesn't know it~ And they just think they're weird and alone. Which is so not cool!

The isolation feeling sounds like the worst. Especially when it comes to something so 'big' in the social world.
I've had that feeling in regards to other things, but they were so minor.

*pokes head in* hope I'm not interrupting ~ I'm a very visual person, so I'm just room-hoping offering my lame-ish scene drawing skills to help others visualize things. So I was wondering if you guys would like some~!
Edit: also, reading over some things I've discovered I'm demisexual.... thank you for helping me discover that I'm not alone!

Finally! Done my French homework. I really need to mange my time better...
Anyway, reading back I''m glad to say that I just learned a lot about asexuality. I was always confused with the terminology. Angel, agree with you! As long as you have pride in yourself, there's no need to care about what others think/say. <3
Dumbledore is asexual too, did you know that? c:
Anyways, I'm off to bed. Gnight!

I suppose you can say that I am asexual by choice as I'm one of those people who cannot come into physical contact with latex without breaking out into a nasty horrible rash. [Oh and I've updated my fun facts by adding a few more.]

Yeah, I need to manage homework time better as well. B/n bumping for the fundraiser and playing about in here, I delayed one typed paper ( done, yay! ) two chapters of review questions, and notes on a couple chapters for an open-note test ( I cannot believe this is happening, am I really in a college course ? ). I think open communication and open discussion can help a lot when it comes to concepts we are not so familiar with ( and society's reaction to said situations ). Well, good night, sleep tight, don't let the . . . vampires? . . . bite!

[Oh and I've updated my fun facts by adding a few more.] Well, I guess that would make you quite discerning in your choice of partners. *going to creep on all the updated fun*

I too have read back over the past few posts on this page and I have always wondered why I did not feel the need to be sexually active with my fiancee. I mean we tried a few time but I just felt nothing. No pleasure, just pain and I love him dearly or I would not want to marry him. I still think there is something wrong with me but maybe not. I don't know if I fall under the asexual or some other category. if anyone can help please do.
(I know I share too much)

That's so unfortunate! D: Also that would be antisexual. <3 Asexuality is not a choice.
