The hunchback merely gave a terrified, pitiful whine, fingers raking through his hair as he began to rock back and forth on the floor in growing panic.

Again, Lizzy was late to club activities, even if this was just a trip to the sauna; honestly, if she knew who had been in there, she would be glad about having just missed the whole thing. As it was, she was seated outside the club room with a flopping fish (that will go nicely in Amrita's tank!), staring into space and rubbing at the bruises that had already formed on her arms and legs from being shot at. She did have fun, but the pain. And the bruises!
Those will be there for a while.
The paint on her, however, needs to go off ASAP; most of it had already dried and the towel she had with her was unable to get it off. Standing up, she stretched and walked in-
...
...
The first thing she noticed, was that there were considerably less students in the room than she had anticipated. This, however, brought her to the second thing she noticed - the fact that there were two Dragons, one Mindflayer and a Patchwork in some sort of a heated discussion, judging by the atmosphere.
The last thing she noticed?
... Yeah. Yeeeeeaaaaaah. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah. There goes 16 years of innocence.
"I-I'MSOSOSOSOSORRY." She looked away, anywhere but there, face red as she squeezed her eyes shut; the fact that there was tension in the air didn't stop her from outwardly flailing for a second before squatting down on the floor near the door. She will never be late for anything club-related again. Never ever again!
So just put the towel back on? Please?

The slow, deliberate turn back towards Christof ended with her staring at the patchwork once more.
And she stared.
And stared.
The voice that finally entered his mind didn't even sound like her, anymore. It was someone else, entirely. Someone dark. Sinister. Perhaps even familiar, though she wasn't intentionally doing it.
You have disappointed me.
The words were heavy in the air. They fell like a wall of desolation upon the patchwork's head.
This time, it would not be so easy to recover.
Lizzy's sudden squeal broke the tension in the air, and Riley's eyes flickered up to her, draining of blood instantly. What was she crying out about? She turned back to Jericho a second time, but her eyes went from his own, down to his - oh.
Oh, Lizzy. Poor, poor Lizzy.
Jericho, do you realize you're naked? A suddenly non-chalant Riley asked.

Crossing his arms again, Jericho stared hard as Riley approached Christof angrily. His eyes darted over towards Aksaja briefly but it seemed like he was wanting to stay out of this. Good.
When a shrill squeal ripped through the heavy tension, Jericho turned around to see Lizzy freaking out all of the sudden. Seriously, were all the girls going to start spazzing the hell out whenever they saw him in the sauna or near the sauna wearing nothing but a to--
Oh. Wait. There was no towel, as he was made aware of this thanks to Riley's input, who wasn't freaking out over it.
".... No?"
Not really sure how to feel about this all of the sudden, Jericho spotted where his towel had fallen and promptly tied it back around his waist. Well that had killed a decent portion of his anger at the very least.
"It's alright Lizzy, you can look now."

Perhaps it was a good thing only Riley could hear the slurry of thoughts as the Hunchback gave a pained, muffled wail.
It had all been going so well... if it hadn't been for that stupid, horrible, wretched dragon.

Oh crap, and now Lizzy had seen . . . well, this was just getting more and more awkward by the moment. Riley apparently said something to Christof that made him freak out, but Aksaja really didn't care. Whatever she said, he probably deserved it.
Trying to kill those renegade Reapers or whatever the hell they were back on the Island was one thing. But trying to kill EACH OTHER? Seriously, what was the Patchwork boil's problem? Heh. Maybe he was jealous.

Nope, not looking. Never looking.
She had seen him without a top on before. Just not- Ugh. Ughhh. Her face was probably completely red by now, and she was that close to moving herself to a corner to grow mushrooms recover from the trauma. She only didn't do it because... There was this tension in the air. Then again, she wasn't going to remove herself from her current position either, because she didn't feel like moving at all.
Unless there's a vat of bleach nearby for her to burn the image out of her head forever. Oh wait. There's one in the laundry room where Calder almost drowned her in.
Good, the paint needs to be washed off her clothes anyway.
"Continue on, don't mind me," She muttered, staring at the ground directly in front of her.

Christof's rant hit her hard, and deep. This fact was barely acknowledged, as she did not so much as blink in response. She let him go on, and on, allowing his anguish to extinguish her rage. It did not, however, make her want to forgive him.
I will be magnificent, Christof. Riley's own voice cut in suddenly, though it was still devoid of a single drop of empathy. But only those I trust will be by my side. You promised me. She turned away, taking a few steps towards Jericho, until she stood at his side.
You promised me, Christof. No more hitting. And yet here you were. Her hand rested on Jericho's shoulder. Trying to bash my best friend's head in with a rock. Her eyes turned to give him an almost sad side glance.
I gave you a second chance, when I have done so for no other. And this is how you repay me.
Her eyes turned back up to Jericho, finally filling with emotion.
I'm sorry.

His head jerked up, face streaming with blood and tears, his hands trembling as his open nostril holes gurgled as he gasped for air, Didn't hit, mistress, stopped myself. Remembered. Didn't hit. Never hit. He hit me, didn't hit him. Never hit him- His mental voice was manic, as was the look in his eyes.

Riley's eyes were sad, filled with disappointment.
But you tried.

Con... conflicting orders... the confusion and terror was still pouring off of him, eyes wide as he stared at the ground as though he could burn holes in the floor. Told me to do as I was compelled. Told me to... you love him more you trust him more you want him more had to... had to... had to had to had to but I didn't I didn't I could have but I didn't I didn't... His hands lowered from his hair to stare at them instead.

Watching Lizzy for a bit, it seemed she was still bent on not looking. Well that was fine, but it wasn't like he was naked anymore. He raised an eyebrow at her, then looked back to Riley and Christof as he suddenly heard the Illithid's voice speaking out to the hunchback. The dragon didn't have the slightest bit of clue what was said before that, but apparently the Igor was saying stuff to her.
Her voice sounded cold, but it had lost the rage within it.
Jericho's gaze shifted to her hand as it was placed on his shoulder, then he looked back to Christof. This was a second chance? Had he struck or attacked someone else before? That struck his curiosity, but he wasn't going to ask about it right now. If only he could read minds.
The other question was what she was apologizing for exactly. Was it for how she was acting earlier? Or was she apologizing for the Patchwork? He couldn't be sure.
"It's alright," he mumbled before shifting his wings.

In a sense, Christof was right. Riley wanted him to do as he felt compelled to.. but not if he couldn't tell right from wrong. Not if he still didn't understand why he shouldn't try to hurt others. He wasn't ready to make his own decisions, if those decisions led to him trying to-
you love him more
Riley's eyes flashed angrily back at the hunchback as he continued.
you trust him more
How could she be faulted for trusting Jericho more than Christof, right now? She'd just explained why she couldn't-
you want him more
Her fingers clenched tight on Jericho's shoulder. Her breathing staggered, as short ragged breaths made her chest rise and fall.
I've had enough of this. A cold voice snapped out viciously, as she let Jericho's shoulder go and stormed away. She stopped at the door to the Fitness Club, turning quickly to say her final words - but when her eyes fell on Jericho, the words tumbled out of her head and she was left with nothing.
She hated Christof so much right now.
Riley swiveled in place and stormed out of the Fitness Club.

Feeling her grip suddenly tighten, Jericho tensed up as he glanced back and forth between the two. He couldn't hear Christof's thoughts and Riley wasn't speaking so he was a little lost as to what was going on right at that moment. Aside from that, the Mindflayer was suddenly looking a little distressed for some reason.
"Riley, wait --" he started to say as she went to storm off, but it was too late. She had calmed down a moment ago so something must have gotten her again. And what was with that look? He glanced over at Aksaja and Lizzy briefly, wondering if by some chance they had picked up on something he hadn't.
"What in Tiamat's five colored s**t did you say to her?" he hissed at Christof, turning his attention back to the patchwork in the meantime. But he wasn't really expecting a response. Grumbling, he just went back over to his locker to fetch his paint splattered clothing to throw it back on. Once fully dressed again, he left to try and get down to the bottom of this mess.

Aksaja stared as Riley departed, wincing at her mental 'tone'. Damn, he'd done a lot of that in this conversation . . . altercation . . . whatever you wanted to call it. Ah hell. Well, at least it didn't look like anyone was going to attack anyone else here.
With a faint sigh, Aksaja hitched his own towel up a little bit and ducked back into the sauna for a moment to grab his own clothes. He moved away from the still-mortified Lizzy to put them on, then headed out. No reason to stick around now, really, and the mood was ruined anyway.
Mental note to talk to Riley and/or Jericho later though, for sure. Ugh.
