"Ah, thank you, thank you." Solumone barely gave a nod of his head as the man got up and walked away. With an ever complacent smile, he looked down at Scytheress, tilting his head. "Yes, greetings to you too, my dear. I hope you do not mind my intrusion on your little...ahem...but I would do well to have a moment of your time, yes? Yes..." he squated down to her side, looking over her a moment. Wounded she may have been, but it was a condition good enough for her to be moved! He took her hand, lifting it in his left, gloved hand whilst his head tilted again. "Ah, fret not, fret not, you will be fine. Slight wounds, slight lack of air... All workable, but this location isn't. So if it is all the same to you, I would suggest we remove ourselves at this very moment and take our private business elsewhere, yes yes." and with that, he tappd the cane into the floor, making an audible knocking sound. In that very instant, he was...gone. Not just him, but Scytheress as well, both of them gone within the blink of a human eye. Ah, Solumone, always the mysterious one...

Dinah having just 'vacated' from the library, came to the one place she knew would be silent; the dance hall...

The light shone through the windows at a blinding pace onto the dusty floors, the footsteps of previous wanderers could be seen among the thick layer of dust. The whole place was desolate in a particularly awestruck way. Like a barren landscape in a dusty brown colour, eye alluring with the bright rays of sunshine making patterns among the floating dust...

Dinah sighed as her shoes clopped along the floor, one step after another, leaving her foot prints where so many others have trod...This was perfect, silence and quiet, time to think and be alone; alone used to be something Dinah hated but she soon adjusted to this fact and hid her usually kind, compassionate and happy demeanour deep down where it belonged. At least for the time being...

It hadn't been so long since this place had been covered with red and roses, but alas as every other day of the year it moves on and the hall once again became empty; Empty was show Dinah felt, she hadn't seen those she regarded as friends in such a long while, and her new attitude seemed to stop her from making anymore 'Friends'. Everything hurt, her sensitive hearing hurt, her sight hurt; the way she would pick out every last detail, her emotions hurt; nothing felt real, nothing felt normal...

She sighed and leapt up onto a bench, her hands and feet searching for foot holes on the wall with every step climbing closer to her goal, the steel roof beams. As high as they were the view would blindingly beautiful from up there, and the silence would be set in stone all the way at the top...

Awkwardly twisting form the solid brick wall Dinah managed to grab onto the first steel bar withing reach; her hands were sweaty and her claws not as sharp when faced with steel, She glanced down and her eyes picked out the detail of the dust so much she could almost imagine her lifeless body laid among the dust after a fall whilst it swirled around in the air being disrupted from her last breath and air disturbance, the particles of the dust visible in the sunlight; Her body not found for some time since she had chosen the emptiest place to die other than her heart....

Her heart rate rose amazingly fast and her breathing was shallow and short, blinking a few times and looking up she carefully swung herself onto the steel bar Dinah's heart rate began to slow as she could feel a sold structure underneath her. Sitting down carefully making sure her balance was perfect; like a cats Here she could feel she was safe, very dangerously high but safe, right? well as long as she didn't slip...

Leaning forward precautiously, Dinah began to pick out every detail of the handle on the door, hoping to see it quiver or move. Hoping no Wishing Siren would walk through it. Siren was perhaps Dinah's only friend and well Dinah hadn't seen her in such a long while, infact Dinah wished anyone would walk through to door, she needed to be herself again and get out of this mood she forced herself into; it was like being trapped.

Shadows passed by the locked door and Dinah nearly fell form her high steel perch trying to see who it was; but alas the door didn't open and she quickly lent back regaining her balance....Her mismatched blue and brown eyes decided to stop watching the door like it was entrancing and instead began to watch the dust pattens made visible by the shining sun...

Siren was wondering aimlesly through Ria high. For the most part she was quiet and somewhat sulky. She hadn't seen her closest friend in quite a while, in fact she couldn't really recall the last time they properly spoke. So much had happened lately that couldn't keep track of what was going on around half the time.

Sighing deeply she lowered her so that her long purple hair fell over her face, hiding her features. Lightly she outstretched a hand and smiled lightly as she recognised where she was. The dance hall. A while back her and Dinah ahd come for a dance together, it was rather nice. Thye may have no guys, but it made no difference. They had fun with each other and that was all that mattered.

Her hand gently traced over the cold metal of the door handle then loosened once again as she allowed herself to slide onto the ground just outside the door. She felt so lost without Dinah there, it was quite scary in fact. Lightly she tipped her head up and felt the suns rays hit her face, the cold wind gently blowing against her skin. It must be a nice day. A very nice day, for those who had someone to share it with.

Dinah looked down at the door as it finally moved the quiver of dust and the sudden shiver of the handle was unmistakable; a Person! No not a person:

"Siren!?"

Dinah lent forward in the urge to see if it was her closest friend sat near the door, she nearly slipped off the roof beam but she her mismatched eyes determined it was it was Siren! She couldn't mistake that purple hair anywhere.

The sun was still shining brightly illuminating the area and shinning off the roof beams and Dinah did something stupid considering she couldn't see down very well; underestimating the distance of the next ceiling bar, which was lower to the ground, she jumped from one to the other yet her foot slipped and she slid of the bar as she attempted to land...

Dinah's claws dug into the bar and a scratching sound was heard, she was not going to fall, no way, uh huh, she point blank refused. Concentrating hard Dinah stared hard at a shadowed area next to the window below her and the essence of the shadow began to come towards her slowly yet surely and in mass. Dinah created a small plate of shadow essence attempted to stand on the bunched up essence and hopefully get a 'lift' down the the ground. She had never before attempted to actually stand on Shadow essence but there was no other way down without jumping which would not be good to her health. Tenderly placing a foot on the essence it took her wight and so she let go concentrating hard for the essence the slowly lower to the ground...

Well anyone who knew Dinah well would know her powers weren't to great as doing as there told and the plate of shadow essence didn't go quite as slowly as it should of done. The plate hurtled towards the floor only slowing up as Dinah leapt from it onto the ground landing in a catlike manor. The essence dissolved and returned to its shadow...

Dinah's clip clopping shoes could be heard echoing across the dance hall as she run up to Siren dropped to her knees and hugged her

"It is you!..."
PostPosted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 12:55 pm

Siren laughed in delight as she felt the tight embrace around her. At first she jumped unsure of who it was, but then she had noted the slight flicking of a tail and Dinah unmistakebly cat like tone. She was very happy to see that Dinah was still as clumsy as ever. She had heard the screeching of her nails along the metal bar, the rather frantic jumps in order to stop her fall. It was all too funny. For anyone who knew Siren would know that there was not mush she missed in balance and senses.
Hugging her friend tightly she could hear the suprise and joy in her own voice as well as in Dinahs. Had it really been this long?

"You know...im soo glad you're still a clumsy cat!"

Gently Siren pulled herself and Dinah up off the ground and gave her a proper hug before letting go and chuckling as she simply stood across from her cat like friend.

"Its been too long Dinah...what happened to you?"

She felt herself slowly begin to wel up in tears. For so long she had not seen her. She was worried that Dinah was in some kind of trouble, or hurt. She had worried so much to poitn that she thought that Dinah had just simply vanished without saying a word.

Dinah laughed when Siren called her a Clumsy cat, she was right not much had changed; Dinah was still very clumsy...As Siren pulled them both to her feet and gave Dinah a proper huge, Dinah finally felt as if she was herself again and not some quiet withdrawn boring Neko.

She laughed with happiness and tears began to well in her eyes, it had been far to long since her eyes had set upon Siren. Siren asked about Dinah's vanishing and Dinah felt so very guilty, for she had just vanished not even saying a proper goodbye; she had just said bye as if she would be back within the hour...There was no true answer to Siren's question for Dinah could still not explain why to herself but she did her best to try

"I'm sorry, i missed you sorely but something just kept haunting me and i thought the best thing to do was the vanish... I was still around the school just hidden...I promise i will never leave again; Promise..."

that was it then Dinah tears over spilled and she began to cry although not sob just cry. she smiled at Siren, the saying 'Sight for sore eyes' would of been a understatement, the amount of times Dinah had seen Siren about and tried to force herself to come out of hiding a talk was unbelievable but she just couldn't for some reason. And now finally siren was here stood in front of her; her very best friend, her closest friend her only friend she had ever had...
PostPosted: Wed Jun 21, 2006 1:22 pm

Hearing sob Siren wrinkled her face, then gave a small smile as she lightly took a few steps forward. She hated to hear her cry, she hated not being able to do something to help her. The fact that Dinah felt the best thing to do was vanish hurt. It really did hurt. All she ever wanted was to help her, even if it was dangerous she would risk her life for her. Afterall Dinah and herself had been through a lot problems together where they required each others help.
Never did she want Dinah to feel as if she couldn't rely upon her.

Slowly she took her hand and wiped away her tears. Very softly so as not to hurt her eyes. Though Siren had lost her sight quite some time ago, she still had tendency to hurt people when she didn't want to.

"Please don't cry..you'll make me cry too.."

She sniffed, then realised it was too late. She was crying too. She let out a small chuckle that was broken by sobs and sniffs. She must have sounded really rather stupid. But what did she care, she was way too happy to be thrown by what other people thought of her.

"Whatever happened...please tell me. You can trust me"

She knew it would be difficult for her. she could sense the stress and worry in her voice when she spoke of why she left. She sounded like she had been quite upset about it. Which was why Siren was asking. She only wanted to reassure her that she could help.

((Ugh i had to type this twice T.T))

Dinah giggled at the pair of them crying like school girls, After all they had done, all they had been through; none of which made them cry. They have to choose cry at a little reunion.

"we probably look like a right pair of wimps..."

Dinah refrained from giggling, but her normal cheery demeanour was back...Dinah became serious and yet not too serious. It would be hard to explain why she had left but she had felt leaving was best for others not just herself. A feeling was hard to describe but even harder to describe when your in tears and really happy blocking out all logical thought...

"you know that feeling of doom hanging over you, haunting you, tormenting you. When you know something bad will happen to those you care about; well something changed her and i couldn't shake that feeling i was worried for you and so i left hoping it would help. But in hiding i realised without your help and friendship i was as good as a ghost and i needed to solve this problem, i refused to come back until i knew you;d be safe. And when i did come back i couldn't find you and i feared the worst as if i was too late, but then you turned up here and i couldn't of been happier...sounds silly doesn't it?"

Dinah laughed at her own explanation and wiped a tear of her cheek and looked at Siren. although she couldn't explain why she had left Dinah knew all along without Siren she was doomed anyway; with no family and no friends life was pretty pointless, but Siren was like a sister only without the arguments, Siren was Dinah's reason for life not to be pointless...

Siren listened sympatheticaly. It was horrid to think that her best friend had to go through that alone. The isolation and the pain that must have been lingering in her heart to make her feel that she had to leave so the others did not get hurt. But it felt much worse to think that there was nothing she could do to help her out, make her feel that there was nothing to worry about.

She shook her knowingly, she too had the feeling, though she was younger and couldn't unerstand it. Plus her brothers where there to help her work it out, Dinah went through it alone. The mere thought of going through it alone sent shivers up her spine. It was something she wouldn't wish upon anyone...least of all her closest friend.

She decided not to press the matter any further, instead she was going to focus on the day ahead and the fact that once again they had been reunited and were now both laughing and crying like little school girls. Removing her band from her eyes she wiped them dry and gigggled as she placed her face into the heat of sun. She could feel the heat hitting her and it felt marvellous.

"Dinah. I know... we must look incerdibly sily..so what do you say now that we are back... we go for a walk. I have a lot to tell you"

It was true. Whilst Dinah had vanished for a while she had received a suprise visit from her oldest brother, Kevin. It was soo very good to see him again and she only wished Dinah had been there to meet him. She wanted him to see that she doing fine, that she had actualy made a friend and one who she trusted with her life.

But because she hadn't seen her, she made a promise to tell her everything and even show a photo, thoguh she didn't how clear or good it was. She was still going to show her.

Dinah smiled, and stood next to Siren in the sunlight squinting her mismatched eyes to try and not temporarily render herself blinded by the sun...She listened to Siren's words and she felt bad she'd off loved to of been there whilst all this stuff had gone on and been able to show support if Siren had needed it. She shook the feeling off and just promised to be a better friend from now on and never ever leave ever again...

"Alright a walk it is, and I'm all ears, well i have two cat ones actually..."

Dinah laughed at her own pathetic joke and she was back to her normal curious, silly and cheerful self. it seemed all she needed was the help of a good friend back at her side. Dinah straightened her skirt and ran over to the door opening it and exposing the long dusty hall to more sunlight, the dust swirled form the wind created by the doors movement and Dinah coughed in a little pathetic girl way...

"Com'on lets go!..."

Dinah waited for Siren to head over to the door, she was smiling and her cat like fangs were visible and she didn't even seem bothered, the natural swish of her white cats tale had returned and her eyes no longer seem hollow and emotionless.

Siren laughed at her cat joke. It was the senseless humour and banter that she loved about Dinah. She was able to laugh and joke about herself even at the worst of times. She admired Dinah for that, she culd never do that...she couldn't relax as much she, but then again it was she had her as her best friend. Because Dinah was so relaxed and fun to be with.

Slipping her band back over her eyes she twirled out of the sun and into the shade. Her long hair curling around her body as she did stopping by Dinah and smiling widely. Gently she took Dinah by the hand and wlaked slowly inside, careful not to walk into anything. There many signs that something would be there, but you could never be too careful.

"Do you remember me telling you about my brother, Kevin? He was the eldest of brothers..."

She paused for a breath as she thought back to the day that he had came to visit. it was quite the suprise and very happy to. She thought she would never see any of her family ever again, but there he was in the flesh and waiting to see her.

"...Well he came by to pay me visit. I really wished you could have been there. As far i coulg tell he had changed, but i dont know much."

Her slid into a small pocket and pulled out a photo. Even though she could never see the image, she had it taken so that she could show it to Dinah. So that Dinah would know who in her family she treasured most. Gently she slid the photo in her hands showing the image of Siren with a rather tall man. He had brown hair with blue eyes and red symbol on his forehead just like Siren. He leaning on her shoulders in a brotherly kinda way and both were smiling.

"Here take a look"

Dinah was happy but she couldn't help but feeling guilty when Siren mentioned her brother; Dinah would of love to have met him. To have met someone of Sirens family, something Dinah could never do; as in introduce Siren to one of her family, she didn't have any...

She took great care not to claw the photo pressed in her hands with her claw like nails. She looked down and smiled, it was easy to tell the relation of the pair. She laughed...

"The family resemblance is pretty clear...Hes taller than i expected though..."

Dinah pressed the photo back into Siren's hands. She felt bad but she promised herself and secretly Siren that she'd be there next time he visited...

"think he'll come visit again? i'd like to met him next time..."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 26, 2006 1:50 pm

Siren nodded and chuckled. He had indeed grown. Last time she was able to touch his shoulders without standing on her tip toes. But now she had to realy stretch to even touch his shoulders. It was a thought that made her smile and laugh. She was glad he was growing up and not forgetting about her, which was usualy the case. Gently she took the photo and placed it back in her pocket.

"Yes is quite tall now. But you know boys are always late bloomers"

She laughed and allowed herself to wonder over to the middle of the floor, or at least what she thought was the middle. Her footsteps were gentle, ye they echoed. a sign that no one else was here. that most items were stacked against walls out of the way...leaving her enough room to spin round several times before falling to her knees with dizziness.

"I hope he does. I actualy hope that most of my borthers will come to visit. But their visits are so rare...i just don't know"

Her tone had lowered slightly. how long would it be before he came again. If he did would Dinah be here and not disspearing to sort out her problems alone again?

"Dinah...promise me that whatever the trouble, you'll tell me. No matter what?"

When Siren had run into the middle of the floor and began to spin around, Dinah had followed her running in a catlike manor on two feet a few steps away Dinah twirled on her tiptoes before almost stumbeling to a still stance. She might of been agile but she was clumsy...

She began to giggle but stopped when Siren asked her the question, she adopted a serious tone and walked over to Siren...

"I promise and i wont run off again, ever...I swear on my cats ears..."

It was a habit of Dinah's to add that on, and that was the only bit said without a serious tone. Siren would know she meant it, Siren always did. That's why Dinah was friends with Siren she could sense feelings and knew when you needed help and when you needed to be alone, and it was hard to ever deceive Siren and so the friendship could not be spoilt by lies, Siren was sjut the perfect kind of friend for Dinah.
