Emil paused for a moment. "Well...sort of..." He knew at this point that if he tried to lie to Lloyd, the red-clad swordsman would become suspicious of him. Especially after hearing the fact Kratos was his father, the blonde male wanted to tell him. However, he was unsure what his reaction would be. Hearing Schwarz's question about what a Centurion was, he gazed over to him. "Well...Centurions are servants to the summon spirit, Ratatosk. There are eight of them, each of them control monsters of their own element. Actually I have traveled with one during my last journey." He knew that it was going to be complicated on explaining about Ratatosk.

Colette followed Cinkel into the room as she heard Hina's question. "Well...Myself and Lloyd had stopped by Iselia just before we met Cinkel and Jason. We also met these two men named Oro and Schwarz, though they ran off. We tried to follow after them to see what was going on, but we lost track of them. Though Lloyd got left behind as well." ^.^; She did feel bad that Lloyd got left behind, though she knew that he could handle himself.

"The Quickjumpers!" Jason's nose rose harshly and seemed wrinkly as he made a face. "Goin' an' Quickjumpin' away like that, leavin' us behind. Annoying as mossy cave goop on me beard, it was."
Jason followed after the others, ranting and swinging his fist around at the air occasionally. "Dwarven Vow 44: Haste makes waste! Ach, I'll teach them to leave me behind an' go hurryin' off like that!" He looked over at Hina. "An' that's what's happened!"

((Um, guys? Could we slow it down a bit sometimes? I'm kind of overwhelmed these days. sweatdrop

I'll be editing my response in while I sort all this out... Done.))

Quote:
"Hm?" Lloyd looked over towards Emil, looking kinda dumbfounded. "Oh, well. Kratos... he's my dad." He spoke kind of quiet and embarrassingly, but happy. When Zaul gave his explanation of the usage of the word immortal, Lloyd got confused. "Wait, so Schwarz and Oro are in love?" He was too busy trying to figure this one out, so he missed the last bit of what Zaul said. Lloyd was not playing dumb.

[Schwarz] then turned to Zaul, "Well it all depends how you define immortality, but yes we don't die by regular means... kinda closer to near invincibility. Though we only heal at slightly faster speed as you, and feel pain, so we need to care for our body to a certain extent."

Zaul couldn't help but let out a loud "PPFFFFFFTTTTTT---" at Lloyd's confusion, then proceed to laugh heartily. After he considerably calmed down, the impact of what he said to Emil settled in, making him shake his head as if snapping out of something. "So this Kratos fella is yer father?" he asked with a tone of awe, "Well do ya know if th' immortality passes down? I mean, how'd he become immortal in th' first place?"

At Schwarz's reply, he shrugged. "Immortal t'me is basically jus' bein' able ta live ferever. Yeah ya can still die, however that goes, but if left alone y'all'll do just that."

By now, the group had reached the gates of Luin.

Veig followed the group into the room. "Thanks." He muttered to Cinkel before sitting against one of the room's walls. He stretched out his arms, still feeling the dull ache in his shoulder. He removed the sword from his back and set it down next to him. He really saw no reason to still have it on him.

As everyone entered the room, Cinkel pulled out something that looked a lot like a small box with one hand and a small, feathered pin with the other. With his pen, the boy wrote a symbol and placed it onto the floor. After he stepped back away from it, it began to expand rapidly and took on the form of a small stove and counter. He then repeated this same process, placing a short table near the middle of the room that was just big enough for the group to sit around on the floor.

Cinkel then put his pen up under his jacket and turned around facing the stove. As if out of habit, he held his hands out to his sides and blue spell circles formed on his hands just before they were covered in water. Apparently, Cinkel washed his hands in this way. There was a light glow from under his coat just before he pulled a large pot from it and set it on the stove.

"'Always be prepared for anything,' my father always said."

With a smile, Cinkel pulled his bags from under his coat and placed them on the counter. From that, he began to pull things out as he needed, such as utensils, foods, and ingredients. Each time a glow came from the opening of the bag as things were pulled from it, most of them being larger than the bag itself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What's a Sentry?" Lloyd confusion and curious formed up again and he wanted that sated before moving on, but he wouldn't force it.
Cleo just continued to look ahead, not say much else aside from, "Well, if you change your mind." There were few things in life she cared anything about, and fluffy, cute animals was one of them.
Hina nodded along as Colette spoke to her. "Well, I am sure Lloyd is fine. He can probably take care of himself."
When she finished her sentence, she looked into Cinkel's bag each time he reached in and the glow appeared, her of course interested in something she had never seen before. "What sort of magic is this?" she asked him.
"The magic kind." Jason also looked over at the bag. He raised one eyebrow as high as his facial structure allowed.
"Hold it, that ain' quickjumpin' magic, is it? Ya should show the quickjumpers how it's done, lad." He grinned and laughed maliciously. "Shove 'em in there and see how they like it then!"
"A sentry is..." Schwarz thought for a moment, "I guess it be like a guard at it's post or something. Boy was I off comparing it to a Centurion." sweatdrop Schwarz scratched his head and looked in towards Luin spotting a not so subtle statue in the center of a fountain, "I spy a Lloyd Statue!"
Oro just started acting like a normal dog sniffing the ground, A talking wolf pup would most likely get an automatic chase out of town for him.
Emil mentally sighed with relief that Lloyd didn't become suspicious of him in regards to Kratos. When he heard Schwarz mention about the Lloyd statue, he gazed over to it for a moment. "There are two other statues here as well, though this one in particular brings back memories." It had him think about when he first met Richter, and how he used to hate Lloyd for the incident at Palmacosta until he found out the truth.
He would look back at the group. "My place is just above the Inn, so you don't have to worry about getting a room for me."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I'm sure of it as well." Colette said with a smile to Hina. She watched Cinkel work his magic. "That's amazing, Cinkel." ^.^ She then gaze over to Jason. "Quick jumping?" Come to think of it, she recalled Lloyd having mentioned something about quick jumping during their journey of regeneration.

Lloyd thought to himself for a second. "I can see how you can get those two confused. They do sound alike, and the Centurions do help protect our world." He went silent and rubbed the back of his neck at the mention of his statue. It still kinda embarrassed him to have such a thing of him. He spent most of his time thinking of the day they restored Luin.

"Lloyd the Great. He saved the people of Luin from the evil Desians and spent thousands of gald from his own pocket to restored the town, turning it into Luin The City of Rebirth." Cleo recollected on the story she heard around from the random travelers in the forests.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cinkel turned around to address everyone. He smiled at Colette's comment. "The magic? It lies in a specific three of magic. I specialize in enchanting items. I can enchant any item with nearly any enchantment. Ah, here's a simple example." He took out a fork along with his pen. He then wrote symbols down the handle of the fork and pointed it towards the group. After a light glow on the utensil, it sudden shot forward and stuck into the table in front of them. The handle grew nearly ten times its original length.
Jason nodded. "Aye, lass, quickjumpin', like those quickjumpers used jus' then."
He once again held up his finger in its dwarf-wisdom position. "Anyway, thaht's neat-o, I s'pose. One a these days, I oughta forge somethin' an' you can-" His pointing hand flew up in surprise. "Wha?! Ya just stabbed the table! I oughta learn this stuff!"
PostPosted: Sun Jan 01, 2012 7:29 pm
Hina watched what Cinkel did and was wide-eyed as the forks handle extended itself. "What sort of enchantment was that, exactly?" Hina asked, looking at the fork carefully.
((Sorry, I am a little tired, so it lacks creativeness))
Zaul, walking along with his hands in his pockets, blinked once and stared for a second at how Lloyd seemed to have glossed over his questions, then made an indifferent shrug to himself. He was still curious about this Kratos himself, but he didn't feel like pushing matters either.
As they passed by the statue at the fountain, he spoke up. "Will ya lookit that. I can't believe I missed that in th' daylight. I reckon one misses a lotta things when 'e has only one eye left," he joked, smirking, "But then again, I s'pose I also miss it on accoun'a my spectac'lar luck at certain things. Ahahah!" He meant "spectacular luck" in a sarcastic way.
Now he saw that the group was nearing said Inn. "Speakin' o' which, I don' have enough t'get a room 'o my own, 'n th' guards don' take kindly ta anyone sleepin' on th' benches. So unless y'all need help with anythin' else, I reckon I oughta hightail it back out the city limits n' figure out where t' camp fer the night."
There was a silent, momentary pause in which he came to a realization about something. "Wait a minute. Was there somewhere in partic'lar you folk needed t'go? I don't recall anyone sayin' they needed the Inn, 'zactly...aheheh..." He rubbed the back of his head, looking a bit sheepish.
"Hm, so is this the town of Luin?" A girl stands outside the gates looking at a map, she continuasly runs her finger through her light blue hair, and rubs her nose a few times. "Oh, yeah this is Luin. Heehee... AWESOME! Ive finally made it here! And only got lost in the forest 3 times!"
She strikes the air with her fist, and jumps up and down... But falls on her bottom the third time.
"Ow! my tush... Um I hope no one heard or saw that..." She gets up really quick and looks around her. "Uh oh! I hope they didn't see!" She stares at the people near the inn with an embarrassed expression. "Uh nah, they were probably to busy talking about..um inn stuff, ugh." She clocks herself on the head twice
"Uhh... well I made it to Luin, NOW what do I do? I need to set a mark on my next town buuuut I don't know of any others... Hey maybe THEY know of another cool town! yeah! this might turn out great!" The girl runs up to the group in over excitement and trips, landing on Zaul. "Ahh!"
Cleo nearly growled at the mentioning of Lloyd's statue. "That thing is an eye-sore in my opinion. I couldn't care less if you saved the two worlds or not. It's a waste of time and rock. People of this town always goes into the forest, my home and take a piece away from it." The rest of what the elf said was lost in her mumbling.
Lloyd kinda smiled in half-embarrassment. "Oh, yeah. I never really asked to have that put up. To be honest with you, I find it a little embarrassing. It does show you how far they have come though." He rubbed the bottom of his nose. "It was a wreck because of the Desian attacks, but they really grew stronger through it." The red swordsman looked about the town with a hint of pride.
Cleo just looked at him as if he were a freak.
Once the inn came into view, Cleo had her own little bit to say along with Zaul's. "I don't have any money either. Your crappy gald currency is garbage. Only lazy buggers need a bed. People will be perfectly fine with sleeping on the ground. It's soft enough and you don't need to waste time making money in order to spend it at an inn." She then just returned to her mumbled ranting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Cinkel smiled. He enjoyed their fascination with his trade. "It is just a simple extension enchantment. It is mostly used by fishermen for their spears. Instead of just jabbing randomly into the water, the junior fishermen find it easier just to do what I just did with this." At that, the fork then returned to it's original size.

((That's not bad. Next time, just make sure to give Zaul a chance to react before using him as a cushion, sweetheart. ;3))
