I play bass clarinet for concert season and the clarinet for marching season! I like the bass better!

Elemental-Hazard I PLAY THE BASS CLARINET AND IT IS THE BEST OK I TAKE THAT BACK... CONTRA BASS WILL EAT YOUR SOUL AND SPIT IT BACK OUT AS AN ALTO BASS.. YEAH ITS THAT GOOD!!!!!!!! thats so right! w00t! GO CONTRA-BASS!!

Pyrgusfinn hey guys! I play tenor sax most of the time and i play bari sax(first year) for marching band! if anybody has any marching tips for bari please let me know! Im kinda being pushed into it by my director, so i can use all the help i can get.
But it spreads the weight and doesn't strain your neck as much.
I actually asked my BD if I could march with bari, and he said no. =(

does it count for bass clarinet if i only ever play for a few months of the year for the school musical? the bass sounds better, but since i am short i prefer the normal bflat clarinet

i play bass clarinet, unfortunately the alto clarinet, saxophone, clarinet, and im learning how to play flute and i would really like to play the contra bass clarinet!

Im a Tenor Player though i also play alto,electric guitar,drums,and clarinet.
ive been in band for about 4 years..

As it turned out, I ended up inherriting our school's old bass flute. Seriously, that thing is a tank! But I love it anyway, even though the thumbrest is constantly falling out. Bass woodwinds are yes, very yes.
