A maze? Draven wondered for a moment if this was really a class. That moment passed quickly as he realized a class in this school could be far worse than a maze. A maze might be fun, too.
He had heard this one could be a little difficult...but there was only one way to find out. Draven nodded to no one in particular and walked into the maze. How hard could this be?

It is thin and looks as if they have a splinter in their foot. Draven was barely into the maze when he spotted the imp. I looked hurt and rather harmless. He took a few cautious steps toward it. "Hey," he said calmly. It looked harmless...but you never know. The imp didn't really move, and the looked at each other for a moment. "Oh! That looks like quite a splinter you got there. Here, let me," Draven reached down to give the imp a hand. He was a bit surprised when the thing actually let him pull the splinter out. He was not surprised, however, when it got up and ran away. Imps could be strange like that. Turning back to his path, Draven attempted to head farther into the maze. "Wonder what else I'll find..."

Draven had no idea what they were, but they didn't exactly sound friendly. He had been trying to figure out exactly what was making those noises when he saw the boulder. That wasn't really a boulder. Well, not like most boulders, anyway. "A story, huh?" Draven mused for a moment. "Oh! I have just the one!" He launched into an old tale that he had heard when he was younger. He didn't know if the boulder thing would like the story, but it was one of Draven's favorites. When he was finally finished, the boulder seemed satisfied, and it allowed him to pass. Draven nodded at the stone as he passed, and headed even deeper into the maze.

A flash of white and red through the foliage of the maze tells you its something large... and mean. Things seemed to be going well for Draven. Until he heard the growling. What on earth was that? It sounded...quite sinister. Close, too. Perhaps it would simply pass by? Draven waited, and hoped the growls would grow quieter. The exact opposite happened. In fact...he was pretty sure it was closer than ever. Draven caught a flash of something in the bushes, and he knew it was headed straight towards him. The glance he caught was enough to let him know he didn't want to meet this creature. Draven turned and ran back the way he came. Perhaps he would try again another day?

Julian walked into the maze again, kinda hoping he'd run into something a little different this time, but then again just because he'd encountered the same beasts didn't make this class any easier. The boulder-like creature hadn't liked his stories or riddles the last few times he'd tried to get through, so it was still a little bit unpredictable.
Oh, look. There was the imp with the thorn. Where were they going that they kept getting stuck?

Julian had stopped to help this one, like the others before it and had gotten the thorn out. The creature had snapped at his hands before it ran off, but didn't bite him. And the small threat wasn't enough to send him running back out of the maze.
The demon wiped his hands on his pants with a small frown.
"That was a little ungrateful," he mumbled to himself before continuing on. He stopped when he came to the creature blocking his path.
Story or riddle, story or riddle...
Without another thought, he went into a short-SHORT version of his adventures in ChristmasTown.

Hey! It liked that one! Maybe he'd tell it the longer version sometime... Maybe.
Regardless, Julian was continuing on into the maze, his nerves on end now. He remembered, the maze before he found the stone-like creature was the nicer part. Here was where it got a lot more unnerving. Growling sounds, creatures in the bushes, killer horses...
OH JACK!
He caught the flash of white on the other side of the hedge and took off running, trying to put distance between him and whatever it was that was stalking him, wings open just enough so that he wouldn't trip over his own feet.

Julian skidded to a halt halfway into the clearing. He'd made it to the center of the maze. But where was the sku-
There was an angry, equine scream behind him.
"Jack dammit." He took off at a run again, definitely not wanting to be trampled by the ghost. Or could he be trampled at all?
He didn't want to test it.

As he passed by the bucket, his hand grabbed air and there was no chance that he was going to get another run-by. Cursing in his mind, Julian was run out of the maze by the ghost, leaving a couple of downy feathers in his wake.

Alright, this time would be a success! Rolling up her sleeves, she remembered the little imp laying on his back and went to help him up again, removing the thorn from his foot. Again, he lead her to a part further in the maze. Carthusia thanked the little guy for his help (for she was certain there was a professor watching) and continued through the maze. Wasn't there a boulder around here somewhere?

Alright, BOULDER TIME. Carry came upon the talking boulder again and regaled a story from her childhood - one of her older brothers decided to put haunted gum in her hair one evening and she slept on it. Little did her brother know, though, that Carthusia was in possession of haunted peanut butter, which was the natural enemy of haunted gum! Needless to say, there was a huge fight and everybody got grounded.
The end.
Walking away, Carry sighed. This was more difficult than she expected.

...something was stomping a fair distance away from her, and Carthusia frowned. Not this again! Instead of being chased off by something unsavory, Carry decided to be dignified and leave on her own.

Kasumi gathered herself up for another attempt at the maze. Twiddling her thumbs, she gingerly entered it for another time and found the imp again. Of course she helped him up and was promptly led deeper inside. The further she got, the more nervous she became, but she had to be strong!

"I don't suppose I could leave you a set of tweezers?" Malodore asked dryly as it flicked the splinter out of the imp's foot.
"Nope. Union rules," the imp said cheerfully. "See you in a few days!"
Malodore gave the retreating imp a sour look. Maybe one day it would stop coming in here, but... the purple orbs were too tempting to resist. Cursed curiosity.

The boulder cracked one eye open as Malodore approached. "Oh, it's you," it said dully. "Go ahead. Make my day worse."
"Gladly," Malodore muttered. "The pink unicorn princess rode through the sky on the back of a rainb-"
"OH JACK I CAN'T TAKE IT PASS"- the boulder shrieked, and rolled away, crashing through the underbrush.
