Rufus pushed himself off the wall he was leaning against and began following Jack. "It's serious isn't it?"

Jack: "Not now babe."

Rufus: "Damn it Jack don't you start your crap of pushing me away, admit it, it's serious between them isnt it?" Rufus demanded as he jumped in front of Jack and shoved him harshly.

Jack sighed and looked away, "It seems that way, now if you'll excuse me our son is missing."

Gin and Tonic looked about themselves before dropping their weapons and grabbed some tool belts and began working on the dropship. The mechs that were at least salvagable were taken off to the hanger, Ratchet and Socket were waiting and soon got the mechana drones to start working on the busted Mechs as they got the mechs craned up.

Ratchet: "Dont worry Clou we'll get these babys up and running in no time, we've got some added extras we're gonna put on these puppies, some extra strength armour and some heavier weapons. Socket, authorise Dredd"

The two Racoons kept working on the mechs as the Mechana drones did all the small fiddly jobs.
Ratchet: "How you getting on over there, we've activated two additional units and we've upgraded them, we've added some missile launchers and some gatling guns."

Rusty made some final changes to the dropship's controls and went in search of Clou. "Clou I've got one of the ships up and running, get 4 mechs on board and let's go, I've pulled some strings and gotten some specialists to join us."

Rusty smiled softly, he knew for certain now just how good Clou was and why Skye had put that word in for him.
"Yeah i'll get hold of him and that gives me enough time to get the sropship ready."

Rusty made his way back to the hanger and Midnight walked into the hanger as Socket finished off working on one of the other two Mechs. "Clou that's the two mechs finished up, we're getting them loaded onto the dropship."

Midnight picked Clou up and hugged him and nuzzled him softly. "Look I said that your destiny is fixed but it will still go on with or without Skye, you could still carry on without him, we'd look after you, I promise."

As they chatted Rusty appeared along the corridor in his flight suit.
"Guys if we want to go we better go now, Jack's getting suspicious about what's going on and I dont think we can stall him much longer."

Meantime I woke up and looked about myself and felt the cold floor beneath my paws and looked around at the four walls. It wasnt a prison cell, for starters it didnt even resemble one. I got to my feet and noticed that my side arm and sword were both gone. "Hmm seems standard procedure for keeping someone locked up, save for the fact that there's no door." I stepped through the open doorway and looked around, all that was left was the ruins of some building.

Midnight: "Guys i've got movement it's not friendly either."

No sooner had the scanners picked up the movement the radar began beeping.
"Oh bugger, guys things just got worse I've got inbound aircraft, looks like...s**t A-10s we are royally screwed."

I looked around the building to see if there was anything I could find, then it occured to me that I was alone. I started feeling myself all over and found a couple of scratches and a large gash in my upper left arm. "Damn it, the transponder's gone." I tore off some of my shirt and made a make shift bandage.
"That'll have to do."

Midnight considered Clou's idea "These missiles were not designed for anti air but then again they are laser targeting so I guess it could work but make each shot count we dont have any backup to reload us."

The enemy aircraft got close fast and began launching some of their long range weapons.

Midnight: "take cover in those buildings, dont let them get a direct hit!" He called down the radio as his mech broke down a wall with a switch punch and entered a building.
