It had been a late morning for Arsenic, which was unusual. On an average day he was up with the sun, ready to get the day moving and do something slightly productive. This fine morning, however, he was feeling slightly lethargic. He'd woken up only a couple hours before the sun reached it's peak, and still he had little on his mind to do but lay around. His logical mind told him he'd run himself ragged lately, but he was worried it was something different.
He'd spent most of the middle of the day laying by the river, letting the water swirl around his paws as he watched life pass by below the ripples. If he didn't move, he observed, fish would get curious about his bright red toes and begin to play around them, nipping and poking. But, if he twitched, they would disperse in a flashing silver blur, scared of what could be behind those small paws. No matter how often he repeated the actions - stay still, wait, be nibbled at, twitch - they would disappear in the same fearful flurry, as if they hadn't seen the same thing before. They were smart. Never be too trusting.
After hours of such, he'd finally lifted himself into movement and made his way deep into the forest. He could hear voices here, and stayed out of sight as he determined what was happening. A female teaching pups how to fish. She was a kind female to care for them. Now they could practice what they learned and perfect it. But something more interesting was happening with the group of older wolves. They spoke of the darkness and leadership, and what was to come. A tournament, he heard, would be the deciding factor for a new alpha to lead the wolves that had been left behind.
Arsenic frowned deeply. They were right. There needed to be organization, but his heart grieved silently for his old alpha and lost pack members. Alpha was not on his mental list of goals, so he'd have to deal with whoever won these spars. Hopefully the winner would be worthy and caring enough to lead such a broken, confused pack of wolves through whatever the Darkness brought.
He'd heard enough. He stepped into sight, but didn't engage any wolf. Instead, he simply settled on his stomach, his crimson head resting over crossed paws. It was simply a saying of 'I am here, and no threat,' that he hoped would allow the others to continue to talk and feel comfortable.

{{Sorry for my lack of a pic}} Prince looked into the woods and something deep in his mind stirred into life. It was as if the forest was beckoning him to come. The pup looked back to the other wolves to see if they were watching. They weren't Prince took off into the woods. "Good Bye my friends, I'll return soon." Prince whispered to his friends. He would return soon . . .he hoped anyway.
{{Prince is going to turn into an adolescent so I'm making him go away, I'll post tomorrow.}}

Zuri looked up, she saw a flash of red from the corner of her eyes. She stood up, it was a wolf. Zuri trotted happily over to the wolf. She sat down near him, he really caught her eye. Zuri decided not to act like a pup, sincew she didnt want to this wolf to think bad of her or anything. "Hi," She said softly, looking at the tiger stripes on his back. Wow... She looked at him, Maybe this wolf would want to be alpha... Zuri thought.... But Im sure it will be either A'cuil or Rouqie, maybe Rebel... Or possibley Fairyn. Oh well, im sure who ever it is will be a good leader for the pack, or, going to be pack. Zuri turned her thoughts back to the new wolf in front of her.

Arsenic lifted his head gently to look up at the bright pink female. He offered a soft, distant smile and nodded his greeting. "Hello."
He was a wolf of few words and many suspicions, but he wouldn't be rude. This female had given him no reason to think badly of her, and he'd opened himself up to an approach by making himself visible. Honestly, however, he didn't know what to say. He supposed it would be good introduce himself, ask her how she was doing, make idle chit chat, but it seemed wrong to him. It wasn't who he was.
He did sit up, however. He wasn't a large wolf; he was small and averagely built, nothing extraordinary. But a Medic didn't need muscle or an aerodynamic build. He needed logic and intelligence, and that, Arsenic was plentiful in.

Zuri smiled, "Im Zuri,". She looked at the red male, he wasnt as large of a wolf as say A'cuil. So, Zuri wasnt looking up at him. She looked at the ground, this was sort of akward. Zuri didnt know what else to say, and she was starting to get irrated by sitting in one place, being perfectly still and calm, for to long. The female looked around for a moment, many of the wolves were gone, most likely for the alpha tournament. It puzzled her thatt so many wolves wanted to be alpha. Zuri turned her attention back to the male.

Faiyrn had indeed been gone for sometime. She had strayed off looking for Kora and had at some point lost track of her trek and slowly she had meandered back. She sniffed the air and found Kora's scent. A bark of joy left her and she ran past the large red male on the ground, leaping over him and the pink female in an easy bound, thundering paws returned to the ground as she followed the scent of her pup. She looked around and saw a few unfamiliar faces, but she smiled kindly at each one. Andragos caught her eye and she nodded to him. Suddenly she caught part of a conversation. A tournament..to be alpha. "I'll partake." she informed the wolves in a clear voice before returning her nose to the ground and wandering a few feet further. "Kora?" she called, head up, tipped to the side, tail waving behind her as she looked around for the younger female.

Kora looked at the strange wolf, suspious and curious but trying not to show it. "Yes. We can't find Faiyrn." she said, then walked away from the three -or four, if you counted Indra- other wolves.
She was debating weather to start a search or look for Faiyrn when she heard a crash... And a few moments later Faiyrn's voice. "Faiyrn!" The adolescent wolf turned her head, suprised. She ran up to the older she-wolf and wagged her tail. "Where have you been?"

Faiyrn's tail started wagging furiously and she pounced on the younger female with a joyous bark. She nuzzled the female and licked her cheek. "Me? I've been out looking for you...then I got lost." she admitted sheepishly.
She stepped back and looked at the female. "How long have I been gone? Goodness look at you... you've grown so much already..." she murmured, nuzzling the female. "You just dissappeared, and I got worried, so I tried to follow... so much for that I guess." she said, feeling her cheeks warm beneath her fur.

Andragos sat up quickly when he saw Fairyn, his tail swishing back and forth gently. "Fairyn." He called to her when he finally set eyes upon her. "Indra, that's Fairyn. She's helped watch the pups." He explained. "It nice to see you again. You just left and a lot of us were wondering where you were."
He still had noticed that the other wolves who'd run into the forest were coming back. He wondered what they had to say tot he rest of them.
But what caught his eye was the new red colored wolf. Well very interesting.

Tiki looked up at Fairyn. As Andragos talked to Fairyn he seemed to be happier than talking to any other wolf. She glanced over at the new red wolf and Zuri, before standing up and heading toward Indra, and sat down beside him. She wanted to give Andragos and Fairyn there space, Andragos seemed to like the silver female, and she might like him. Who knows. "Hey," Tiki said, looking at the blue wolf. He reminded her of the water at the bottom at the waterfall, where she, Rouqie, amd Icarus his from the darkness, with the help of Olek.

Prince swaggered out of the trees, his muscles rippling beneath his fur. The adolescent had sparred with a few wolves on his small journey. If they were kind enough to teach him. Prince had learned the way of a warrior. Not like a SureClaw but a warrior all the same. The Brute sat in the clearing hoping to catch someone's eye. He scanned the area for Ceres or any other faces he knew.

Faiyrn looked up, her smiling face grew brighter still when she saw Andragos. "Drago!" she yipped, tail wagging. She trotted forward to meet him and, as they had when they had met for the first time, she nudged him in greeting, nose to his cheek, her cerulean eyes pleased to see him as her tail wagged behind her. For some reason it made her heart happy to see the male and she was glad he had welcomed her back so warmly. She realized perhaps her greeting had been too enthusiastic and she tried to tone down, the skin beneath her cheek fur growing warm again.
She looked at the male she was introduced to and she nodded in greeting. "Hello Indra, I am pleased to make your acquaintance." she said politely. "I'm glad another has found his way into our growing family." she murmured softly. She looked up when movement caught her eye. "The little Prince too has returned I see, and he has grown quite a bit himself." she observed, nodding at the younger male, tail wagging, glad the young ones were returning safely.

"I told you before I left, I was exploring-" Kora broke off when she saw Fairyn greet Drago, silently amused. She turned when she heard Faiyrn nod at another wolf. "Prince?" She said, tail giving a slight wag. She walked up to him, wanting to know how his lone training had gone.
"Welcome back! How was your time alone in the forest?"

Rebel released a breath quietly through his nose as Rouqie seemed to project a no-nonsense attitude. He watched her head back to the other wolves. Of course she was right, but Rebel did not like the implications he was feeling from the group. They must hurry because the Darkness might catch them unorganized? The prospect of such a thing made his fur stand on end slightly.
As A'cuil fell into step next to him, Rebel heard his friend make a comment about what he had gotten into. It was clear that he was talking about Rouqie, of course. But that didn't mean that Rebel had to accept it. He lowered his head a bit and snorted. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said. Denying it was imperative, even if no one would believe him.

Prince's ears swivled in Kora's direction. He stood and faced her, his tail wagging. "Hey Kora!" The adolescent trotted the rest of the way over to the Fae. He looked at Kora and smiled. "It went well, I didn't get attacked by a bear." Prince gave the she-wolf another smile before continuing. "I have learned quite a bit when I was alone." He sat back on his haunches. "How have things been going here, Kora?" Prince qazed around the clearing again before returning his attention to Kora.
