Later the world will intrude...  Wonder how we ended up like this... oh well, if it works... Patrick mused with a smile as he looked at Taran, Emmy and the assorted baby animals.
"Keegan'll think we're invading..." he giggled quietly, happy they were close to the Faery's home.

Taranieth tried to get them all into the house as fast as possible. Emma would undoubtedly spend the next few weeks trying to open doors into trees, from the looks of it, but at last they were all in. Keegan looked up from where he was finishing up a field mouse. He looked a little confused... and then started to roar with laughter.
Taranieth blushed. He knew what this was about. Keegan was so tickled about the fact that Taranieth had never allowed pets in the house before, despite his wanting to bring in a kitten. Apparently, now he was getting five. It might also have had to do with the fact that Fudge was hanging from a lock of hair, which was hilarious in and of itself.
When the dragon recovered from his laughing fit, he walked over, still chuckling lightly, and looked inquisitively at the pets.

Patrick stifled an 'awww' at Taranieth's blush, then blinked as he set Thorn and Briar on the floor: Emmy was nearing a portal-thing that could be dangerous!
When his back was turned, knelt over to gently scoop up his sister, Thorn pranced toward Keegan.
The male kitten eyed the dragon before swiping the air inches in front of Keegan's snout.
Briar was sniffing the surroundings, looking for something to spring off of.
"Emmy, you need to be careful! Stay here with us so you're safe..." He murmured as he cradled her close.
... but for now let's just hold one another and smile.

Taranieth looked over at the portal and rolled his eyes- it was the dragon door, since Keegan couldn't open the one in the tree bark.
Keegan looked over at the rather foolish kitten. He very slowly made the same motion, scratching the air in front of the kitten's nose.

Thorn blinked and bristled, hissing before turning up his nose and stalking over to Patrick where he pawed at his leg and mewled.
"Thorn, play nice or no Emmy-time - and I know how much you love her, so quit hissing."
Already his sister was turning in his arms to face Thorn with a delighted expression. Parick shrugged at Taran with a sheepish smile. "If Thorn were human, she'd be bouncing on his lap in no time once she saw him. And Keegan - watch out, B-"
Briar pounced, landing squarely in the centre of Keegan's back an preening because she'd succeeded in her leap.
"Too late. Keegan, don't knock her off! She's just a baby!" he warned.

Keegan turned his head a full 360 degrees and caught the offending kitten by the scruff of the neck, setting her in front of him and wagging one clawed finger.
Taranieth could tell he was smiling.

Briar meowed in a plaintive, sulky way that made sure Keegan knew he was ruining her fun. "Keegan. she just loves pouncing and no-one gets away from it..." Patrick informed him, smiling himself.
Emmy made grabby motions in Thorn's direction, so Patrick sat on the floor and set his sister on her feet with his hands on either side to catch her. Snowy, sensing a lap, rushed over to claim it and gave an irritated 'mrreow' when Thorn sat on Patrick's knees.
"Lap for Snowy? Anyone?"

Keegan, already a sucker for the kittens, reached over and gave Briar a scratch behind the ears.

Briar purred underneath Keegan's scratch, headbutting him a little in thanks as she went back to him.
Patrick turned to Taran and smiled at him. "I understand, but Snowy will love you forever, so is it such a terrible sacrifice to make?" he winked.

Keegan fell in love. the kitten had used a dragon gesture! He rolled over onto his back and pulled the kitten onto his lap, petting it happily.
Taranieth laughed. "Not a terrible sacrifice, no. But then, it never was."

"Glad to hear it... Emmy, why don't you sit too?" Patrick murmured, gently setting his sister down on her bottom beside him.
Thorn purred and rubbed his head against Emmy's arm without eaving Patrick's lap.

Keegan responded with a dragon version of a purr. He called it pleased growling, and would not let anybody say otherwise, but a purr it was.
Emma giggled, and caught a handful of Thorn's fur, pulling him onto her lap.

Patrick kept an eye on his sister and Thorn, but turned to Taranieth. "Seems everyone's settled in already... but what are we going to do when it's time to return them home?" He wondered, Smiling at Keegan's actions - it was so cute!
Briar tried to imitate Keegan and failed, mewling in frustration before placing her head back onto her paws, eyes staring at him.
