Ashely. Nothing will stop me. Spacing was something she did a lot. But the sudden rush of a car zipping past snapped her out of it. The man in the card yelled and blew his horn at her. She looked down, and saw him holding her hand as her face flushed seeing his large hand around her own small hand. "So-sorry.." She managed to get out. She looked up at the building and nodded. "Looks great." Ash gave him a warm smile, hoping sooner or later he might crack. Even for a moment to return the smile. She used her free hand and opened the door. "Brain's before boobs." She laughed bowing as she held the door open, letting out a small giggle.

Јoʀδan ×I never promised you that I would not be that guy... Jordan flushed slightly at her slipping her hand out of his. He had forgotten that he had grabbed it. He mumbled an oath before redirecting his attention to what she was saying. The warm smile pissed him off but the fact that she opened the door for him just embarrassed the poor guy. She was laughing, not at him but it was not helping. Jordan tapped her hand off the door and held it open for her.
He leaned down to be level with her face. "Hey kid, don't sell yourself short. Naomi doesn't hire fools." He did not smile at her but he tried to voice the kindness of his words efficiently enough with his tone and through his eyes. There had been a time when complimenting the opposite sex was as easy as breathing for him but like with everything else, that damned woman had changed him almost completely. Now, he patted Ash's upper back and led her into the diner, letting the door slam behind them. ...This is not my apology.×

Vincent shook his head as she was talking about this crazy stuff again. There was a reason he lived in the now, he didn't have time to think about the future. She was going to try and scare him away, it wasn't going to work, his mindset away from the future.
"Don't start this again, I'm not leaving, not till I get sick of you. That's not happening anytime soon. None of this this could and what if's. The future is always shifting. I'll play your same game. What if that guy gets hit in his Ferrari, he dies? What if you and I fall madly in love and have children and grow old together? What if that guy walks in right now and blows our brains out, then goes and fins your sister and Vas and blows their brains out? What if what if? It is an endless loop and just negative thoughts." He reached out and grabbed her hand rubbing each knuckled in turn.
"For the evening, for the rest of the night and until you see the sun rise over the horizon think only of the now. You said it yourself, he wouldn't make the first move if you made it yourself. You did, you got out of the car and he left. When he shows up again, deal with it then." He picked her hand up and kissed it gently, tempted to reach across the table and kiss her.
"Can you do that? Oh look our food's hear!" The sizzling, and popping of hot curry and vegetables could be heard and the waiter began setting a half dozen dishes down. He placed to oblong plates down and bowed away.
"Okay, Indian food one oh one. You can just pile it on and eat it straight like so, or you can pile it or and scoop it up with the flat bread." He did this, piling a quarter of each of the six vegetables and a ton of the curry rice. He scooped up a mash of the mix and swallowed it after a few chews.
"Whew that's some hot curry."

He had left her skin boiling. Sal crossed her legs in lady-like fashion, taking a sip of water while she did. Nobody was even aware, were they?
"I think that I won't be as preoccupied as you would like to think." She needed to change this. Then everything, even this dress, would have been pointless. She nodded reluctantly as he made his request. It was not like her but she was tired. After his kiss on her hand, she pulled out of his grasp immediately.
"Yes, I can do that, I suppose," she said, feeling as though ropes were securing her in place as her mind searched for the nearest exit.
She was not only worried about the whole thing with Jordan. It was this entire night from the start. Why couldn't they be on the road, eating hotdogs and playing some game to which there was no real winner if you played it right? Silently, Naomi watched the waiter bow his way out, leaving them to their meal. It smelled excellent and a short giggle escaped her as Vincent commented on it. Naomi eyed him before taking out of the dishes for herself. The layout was too widespread for her liking but she adjusted. Why could she not do that for a man, just once? It was the same reason for Sal's need to be on top always and her mother's precautious nature that saved them. There was always an ulterior motive but Vincent had not shown any that could harm her in the slightest.

Vincent looked up at her whispered words of apology. He was confused for a half second, reestablished his thinking and thought through the meaning in those words. Then over what happened, how she seemed to know what the guy in the car was gonna do and how she knew so much about the company.
"He hurt you, and your letting that prejudice control your actions here an now. The guy in the Ferrari, you were an item at some point, and well he hurt you, emotionally, physically, or both he demoralized you and brought you into a bad place." Vincent looked down and wasn't hungry in the slightest anymore. Men like that were sickening, his father was sickening. God is really that bad that he is thinking of the man who threw him into the rain and told him never to come back.
"I'm not like that, I've been trying to get you to understand that. Sure I may be a little womanizing, and a little brutish, but eh you have to be when you were forced to leave your home. I was seven years old, kicked out of my parent's home and told to never darken their doorstep." Vincent looked up with a burning innate hatred.
"I wondered the streets of London and was picked up by a local gang. I learned from them, my natural suave in stressful situations made me ideal to a dealer. That's my story. A pathetic excuse I know, but I am what I am. The only thing that I know is to never harm someone who has not harmed me first. Even then that only extends to physical harm. I have been in love exactly four times. They left me for others, either monetarily fit or physically more attractive. So I stopped after the last time, I stopped trying." He wanted to leave now and pulled his wallet out. It had fifty Euro in it and set all of it on the table knowing it was to much.

Naomi "Sometimes the idea of love should just leave me alone." Naomi stayed quiet while Vincent told her his story for the first time since they had met. His eyes showed that every word was true, unfortunately. Who threw out a kid that young? She found his hand after he paid for the hardly touched meal. His last sentences rang out at her. The tears were coming too fast. She tried shaking them off but it was too late. Her heart was torn between leaving at that moment and needing to comfort another hurt one of its kind. She chose the latter.
The manager looked back at him in the eye, still trying to control the water works. "His name is Jordan. I was fifteen when we started going out as well as when we broke up. Without regard for the time span, I knew that that was the closest that I would ever get to true love until I didn't. You're right. He did hurt me. That night, when my parents had died, I had asked him to help my sister and me get to our aunts. He was with the company then and I was requesting that he betrayed it. Foolishly, I thought it would be a no brainer: me or the organization. It was a no brainer, just not in our favour. I took my dad's car but had to abandon it along the way. It was being tracked." The waiter thanked them as he left and they stepped into the cool evening air. He wrapped a comfortable arm around her waist and began walking towards the end of the block, towards their next destination. He had already sent the limo driver a message as to where to meet them. A block and a half ahead.
"I'll run with you, I'll have to slow my normal pace." He chuckled lightly at his joke. It wouldn't be hard, just a little slow. He would have to throw in some extra stuff to keep him preoccupied, weights and maybe quick pushups and situps.
