LaCroix nodded cheerfully "By all means lets".

LaCroix followed quietly saying nothing to his champion comrade

Outside the city walls of Yoru, about a mile away on a rise in the land, a lone figure stood. His long, reddish hair flowed down his back like a mane; the colour clashed nastily with his skin, which was a very pasty white until it reached down as far as his neck; there, suddenly, it became grey instead, and was so until a point which was obscured by his clothes; however, at his sandle-clad feet and ankles, the lowest flesh could just be seen to be coal-black. His hands were neither; brittle, skeletal fingers were all that emerged from the sleeves of his robes. Again, where exactly flesh ended and pure bone began could not be seen. The robe which clad him opened down the front to his abdomen, revealing a tightly muscle chest without an ounce of fat to it. For the upper half of his robe, the right half was a very deep crimson, the colour of drying blood, whilst the left half was instead a boggy blue-green; they met round the back to be separated by a jagged zig-zag strip of royal purple encased in an irregular border of deeper indigo. A black sash bounded his waist, arcane patterns of azure woven into it. Beneath this, the lower half of his robe was a sandy-brown colour. Finally, from his neck hung an amulet on a golden chain; the amulet itself too was golden, but in the centre a large, obsidian gemstone sucked in the light around it. Around this stone were six tiny gems studded into the gold: red, blue, green, white and violet.

Pale blue eyes, with no whites but a tiny black pupil each, flicked open and regarded the city before him.

"Proud walls," he intoned in a voice like death itself. "Fall beneath our power." A bony index finger tapped the obsidian jewel in the amulet. Tiny dots of golden light like grains of sand filled it in a sudden storm, swirling about.

Hands of dirt and dust rose from the earth beneath him and grabbed his ankles. Motes of some black material flowed down them from his skin.

A rumbling filled the ground all around, moving towards the city.

Something was coming.

MORE SPECIFICALLY

As the rumbling reached the walls, a horde of giant, worm-like blecks with sandy-coloured hides broke the surface and smashed with all their might into the walls. Beneath the surface, more did the same to the foundations. The city walls gave a mighty groan of protest, shook a moment... then came tumbling down in several places. Through these, the the worm-like blecks poured, more coming to the surface now, maddened by the smell of flesh to prey on as their gigantic, many-toothed mouths opened to feast upon whoever was unfortunately enough to get in their path.

Both Champions' attacks worked, leaving the worms they struck writing in their death throes. However, the tide poured on, and the worms behind the two stuck down each leaped up and attempted to devour the attackers.

Elsewhere in the city, Throngar came charging out of the apothecary. Noting the panic all around him, he cursed. "s**t! Gorum, get your lazy arse out here! The blecks 'ave arrived!"

"... I refuse to be shown up by my wanker of a brother," Throngar stated to one on in particular as he rummaged around in his pouch for something. "Now where are we... ah-hah! Elkaris pearls!" He pulled out the stones, which were small and azure in colour. "Aquatae!" he shouted, casting them into the next street, up which the blecks were tearing, destroying as they went. As the pearls travelled through the air, they suddenly burst into a mighty cascade of water, flooding through through past the houses. As the worm-blecks came into contact with it, they let out dreadful howls and began to melt away. Throngar gave a triumphant jump and punched the air. "Knew it! Water always beats Earth! Stick that up your sandy demonic hides and suck it!"

Meanwhile, Bryce's attack worked. At that moment, though, another bleck burst through the wall of the house next to him, having tunnelled up through the floor, and attempted to swallow him as the last one had.

LaCroix's did indeed seem to be in quite a bit of discomfort, slowing in its rampage through the city. Unfortunately for the both of them, this led to it getting flattened by the worms behind it. Actually, this was more unfortunately for LaCrois than the bleck; the bleck just collapsed, its exoskeleton fairly malleable, reasonably unharmed. However, this did have the effect of squeezing a lot of very powerful stomach acid up from its stomach and into its throat, where a certain Champion happened to be...

Wow, what a small target Bryce was aiming for. Still, his move did the trick. The worm crashed to the ground as it thrashed. Since Bryce was still in its mouth, he would probably be taken with it unless he jumped out sharpish. Once he did get out, he'd notice the tide of worm-blecks starting to subside, with plenty still tearing a path of destruction through the city, its buildings and its people, but few new ones seeming to be forth-coming... but could that really be it for the grand Bleck attack?

In front of Gorum, a bleck, somewhat larger even than its rather gargantuan friends and with strange, dark brown markings on its hide suddenly reared up and, with a roar, spit a huge gob of stomach acid at him.

Speaking of which, LaCroix would be unable to quite get in time. He was covered in the acid; none of it managed to slip into his helmet, assuming he was facing away from the stomach by this point, but there was a very worrying hiss now coming from all over his armour...

Before the acid hit LaCroix he had managed to crawl his way out of the Bleck's throat and roll to the side before the acid ejected itself out of the throat and would have hit him, he remained unscathed.

Gorum stopped for a moment. "... thank you Incendeus for this monstrous blessing unto my mighty axe." he said in a priestly manner, before charging forward, his axe held above his head. "YAA!!!"

Bryce thought to himself for a moment, before seeing inx exit the tower. He ran towards her, sword drawn. "Jinx! Are you okay?"
