Kanda blinked as he looked at the shrimp who was now red as a beet. And he was thinking...it was cute? What the heck is going on with his mind here?!?! Has he now lost it?!?!
"I see then, well I guess were....umm acquintances?" Kanda said, not sure if that was the right word or not but just went with it. "Well, I'm calmer now." HE said as he got up and stretched then yawned a bit. Maybe he should get some sleep before he ate dinner.

"Yeah, acquaintences," Shan agreed, still blushing. He was already mentally screaming at himself to stop this ridiculous blush, but in vain. The master most likely already saw it now.
"P-please forgive my behavior," he said shakily. "I don't know what happened, so please forgive me." Right then he hid his face, wondering why he didn't think of that before. Maybe he was just too scared or something of that sort to think about it.

"Huh?" Kanda asked as he looked at Shan and tilted his head as he hid his face from hima nd blushed more. "What are you talking about?" He asked as he wondered why he was asking for forgiveness. Forgiveness of what? Kanda didn't understand.
He walked up to Shan the placed his hand under his china nd lifted his face to look at his. "What are you talking about shrimp? If you have something to say, say it."

Shan didn't know how he should answer. He didn't expect the master to ask him this question. He had assumed that the man knew that Shan was referring to the embarrassing blush, but apparently his assumptions were wrong.
For some reason, though he had heard the nickname so many times, his heart still hurt when his master called him a shrimp. Why did it hurt him now? It never did before, so there shouldn't be any reason for it to do so now. Maybe it was because he wanted the master to at least call him by his name rather than 'shrimp'.

"Oi." Kanda said after a full minute past and he didn't get an answer from the boy yet. What was he waiting for? Kanda asked him a question and he should have an answer. What was so hard in answer a simple question as what he meant by what he said?

"Um... I meant... please forgive me for blushing all the time," Shan finally answered, now very embarrassed. "It's disgusting, I know." He wanted nothing more than to just look away from the master's face, but he wasn't able to do that.

Kanda blinked as he looked at Shan with surprise. That was why he was apologizing..? Kanda didn't find i that digusting..in fact..
'Don't go there Kanda..Don't yu there go there!' He thought as he let g of Shan then shrugged as he put a neutral face on and walked to the door. "Whatever. I'm going to my room. Wake me up when dinner is ready." He said as he left the study and turned to the direction of his room.

At seeing the master leave, Shan also left the study, not wanting to read anymore books. He might as well join his fellow slaves in the kitchen to get some dinner ready. The earlier the food is ready, the more satisfied the master may be.
Shan once again prepared the usual soup, since he couldn't think of anything else to cook. It was pretty much the only dish he made so far besides curry since living in the househald. Maybe it was because the ingredients needed for the soup were usually the only available ones.

Kanda reached his room when Shan reached the kitchen and closed the door behind him. He walked up to his bed and undid the ribbon in his hair. His hair fell down with the swift movement and touched his back and neck lightly. He laid down on the bed then looked at the cieling in thought.
"Whay do I feel comfortable around him...I haven't felt comfortable around anyone except one.." He said to himself as his eyes grew a bit sadder, losing his usual scowl that was planted on his face. 'Alma...' He thought before he closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep until dinner was ready.

The whole kitchen was silent except for the sound of work. It was a little unnerving, and it made Shan wonder what was going on. Had they seen him with the master that morning? If they did, then what should he tell them if they ask? That it was nothing more than a training session, right?
Right then, Shan felt sick. Everywhere in his body just didn't feel right. Suddenly, he fell to his knees, knocking over the pot, which spilled the unbearably hot soup all over him. His body felt like it was on fire or lava had been thrown on him and he screamed and writhed in pain, though it only got worse.

Kanda suddenly woke up when he heard the screaming and blinked. He got out of bed, not bothering to put his hair up in its usual pony tail and ran straight to the kitchen. "What happened?!" Kanda yelled as he opened the kitchen.
He then saw Shan, covered in soup and writhing on the floor. 'Oh come on!' He thought as the slaved tried to get him off the floor. Kanda went inside, found a bucket laying on the floor and went to the sink. He quickly filled it with cold water; ice cold water and pured the contents on Shan. "Walk it off shrimp!"

Though by now the burning was neutralized by the cold water, the ailment that Shan had felt before had only got worse. Everything was a little blurry, and whatever he was supposed to hear only sounded strange and slurred. He couldn't even recognize what was supposed to be the master's voice.

"Not again..." Kanda said as he rolled his eyes. They boy was gone again and this time it wasn't even from hunger..At least he hoped it wasn't from hunger. Was this ever going to end and be peaceful??
"All of you." Kanda said as he looked at the other slaves and they stiffened as they nodded. "Get back to work and you, bring my food to me in an hour." He said as he grabbed the back of the boy;s shirt and began to drag him to his room to treat his burns and what not.

Shan felt the ground moving from underneath him and something pulled on the back of his shirt. His burns seemed to scrape against the floor and whatever was on it, making him shiver a little in discomfort.
Though despite his current condition, Shan still felt guilty for bothering the master. It seemed that he was always bothering the man, always unintentionally, but nonetheless still being a pest. Maybe he shouldn't even try to please the master. The other slaves were never much of a bother and they didn't seem to try to please the man.

When they reached Kanda's room, he closed the door then laid Shan on the bed. He went back to lock it so no one wold get in. It would be weird if somone saw them like this.
Kanda sighed as he got the first aid kit from under the bed. Why does he keep it there? Just in case, he got hurt and didn't feel like dealing with the slaves fawning over him. It honestly got annoyign when they did. He plopped next to Shan then opend the kit and started to treat the boy's burns.
