In some ways Koga was like a computer. He took data in and categorized it- allowing him to access it quickly later. He filed her information under a relevant tag and set himself to work again on the dummy. At first it glowed a violent red but it quickly subsided- calming it until it didn't even give the faintest glow. To be honest- it was a task in itself to hold his chakra at his low of a flow- but he began to see why he needed such a delicate touch to be a medical ninja. This was far from beyond his grasp- he just needed to acclimate himself to it.
"Better Sei-sama?" He asked in a low, tone that suggested that he was still deep in his concentration as he spoke.

Sei smiled as the chuunin got the hang of it. "Tons better." she said, moving over to one of the counters, opening the shelf below it and taking out a vial. "Now that you've got that, we're going to get you used to the feel. How does the area that you're concentrating on feel? Can you sense the fake capillaries?" Sei asked, as she took out a needle and filled it with the substance in the vial before walking over to the dummy once more, waiting for his answer before moving along in the training.

"Without a doubt... the veins where immediately apparent but the capillaries only came into view when I was searching for them." He explained as he moved his hand over a different part of the body.
"I'll admit its a bit difficult to focus on them, though I suppose it's something that comes with time." He wagered as he tried once again to focus on a smaller area- the chamber of the fake heart this time.

"Can you feel that they're clear? The saline that sits in the dummy is comparable to the blood that would be in a regular being. it's the same weight and consistancy." Sei dictated, before inserting the needle into one of the holes on the dummy's arm. "Now... what do you sense?" Sei asked, as she hoped he would feel a heavier solution in the dummy.

Searching it out with his chakra he closed his eyes and used the incoming data to paint a picture as vivid as reality in his mind. With expert care, and due diligence he took his time and allowed himself to examine every aspect of the new fluid's nature. "It's consistency is different. It's flowing threw the veins differently. It's a bit slower and it's causing the blood pressure to rise. To much fluids in the veins." He finally decided in a flat, methodical tone reminiscent of a sleepy professional roused from his nightly rest to answer a question.

Sei nodded and pulled a chakra pill out of her pocket. "Well done." She said, offering the small pill to Koga, "you're almost ready for a real human." She grinned, "There's only one more thing for you to learn in diagnosis, and it melds into the next technique of Extraction."

"Of course m'lady." Koga's words where always respectful and always a little dry. "What was that you injected him with? Salt water?" He asked still a little droopy but his interest was at least peaked now.

"Cobra venom." said Sei conversationally, before going back over to the shelves, tapping her foot. She gave an excited 'Aha!' before grabbing something and hiding it behind her back. "Koga, close your eyes." she stated, aiming to place the object in the dummy and have Koga identify where it was and what it was.

Koga obliged her and let his eyes closed as he removed his hands from the dummy and folded them across his chest to allow her to do what she pleased to the dummy. He wasn't sure entirely what was next but his overconfidence in his own abilities was at an all-time high. His hubris was telling him he could do anything right now.

(Why did the chicken cross the road? xd )
Sei quickly planted a senbon at a sharp angle, that was almost directly slipped into the dummy's back, just to the right of where the ribcage would end. She then tapped Koga on the shoulder. "Alright, there's an unknown weapon embedded in the body. Can you find it?" She asked, "And then can you tell me why we can't just take it out?"

Without so much as a disturbance in him he set to work. He first searched the vital areas.
The neck. The heart. The brain.
Then the major arteries and the larger organs. It took him several minuets to fully grasp where the senbon was located. Feeling around the area with his chakra he noted the intersection of the arteries near it and the proximity to the spinal-cord.
"Sei-sama... I've completed my analysis of the body. The weapon is a senbon. It's location would inhibit a basic medical ninja like myself from removing it in the field. Any ninja needs to know their limits. If I where to remove this senbon from a living breathing human it would remove the blockage from the artery it is cutting off. That would allow the clot of blood it is holding back to push forth- entering the heart and rendering him dead. Alternatively- the proximity to the spine means that even an expert could nick the spinal cord when withdrawing it. As a field medic I think the best course of action would be to treat the bleeding the best I could and do my best to have the body moved back to a proper medical facility so that the doctors could preform the surgery as best they could. When moving him- it would be best if I could get the injured person to keep some pressure on the wound and keep them from exacerbating the wound. Cleaning it would be the first step of course."
Koga recited the text from the medical book he'd been reading on his way from the Sand Village. His mind was sharper than most- his attention to detail was something he prided himself on.
(Yay! Basic medical training IRL!)

(Nice! I steal my Dad's MRt/EMS book and read it. I'm not certified, I'm probably going to take the class to get certified though. [I'll be logged off to switch to my laptop- it makes watching the baseball game easier])
Sei nodded, "That's correct. However, there is another way to remove the senbon. The Extraction technique with patch up the vital area around the senbon wound, but still keep the wound open enough to clean withut risk of the patient bleeding out." She stated, "I'm choosing to show you this technique because you need to work on your calmer chakra."

Koga nodded in agreement, "I am use to aggressively pushing chakra for my Raiton techniques. I believe it will take a fair amount of work to subdue that urge to channel that much of my chakra into the injured person. However, I seem to have no issue getting the hang of this. I will make short work of this I assure you m'lady."

"It's very evident." Noted Sei, "Would you like to try your hand at the Extraction technique now, or would you like an example?" asked the Sannin, proud of the chuunin's ability to understand and show his ability.

She'd only JUST mentioned it by name, how could she hope that he could just INSTANTLY do it? Maybe some people could read minds but he found himself sadly without that capacity, "Of course m'lady- I believe it would benefit my study if you where to give me an example. I'll try to keep up."
