Another Stands impression? This was truly wonderful for the whole Weyr, as the new dragon clearly felt that she wasn't just one for the those on the sand, she was meant for one far more worthy.

Panata would have clapped his hands, were it not inappropriate to do so, and he would have whooped outloud if not for the same feelings. Still, he wanted to be able to congratulate her with all of his being, so he slowly shifted himself so he was facing the stands more, before he bowed his head to the girl that had been called out.

He would be proud, be it now or at any time, to follow a woman chosen by such a fine dragon, and he wanted it to be known.

What was with these dragons? Two Stands impressions, a dragon fight that resulted in maulings, this certainly wasn't like an impression that he'd seen in a while. Leicha was amused by all of this, though his thoughts didn't stray too long.

There was an egg unhatched, and then still the matter of the Bronze. Was the cowardly egg a dud after all, or was it waiting to go last when it felt the coast was clear? What a troublesome beast.

He’d barely had time to speak to Regedth and Darcth was turning his head to glance at Redfith. A bit flustered and rather embarrassed that EVERYONE knew how low he felt, he couldn’t help but send back quickly – I’m so sorry, sister, I didn’t mean to disturb you. I am Darcth. If there is any way I can ever help you…

Shy, the brown nudged M’hal’s hand a bit more than he needed to as he took his meat that Raysan had brought them. Comfort was his when he was with His, who he loved, and knew loved him. Then another bolster to his mood came knowing Queen Sharath had chosen Hers too. Now perhaps Roheth, who’d been so right about M’hal, would impress and…yes. It was all fine now.

Kestra had KNOWN it. She'd betted to herself that these last few would provide at least one last surprise and lo, the little queen had turned to find Hers amongst the stands! If she had not been on the sands herself she'd have been betting whatever she had on it and she'd been right. Well now. It must be someone special up there that the little gold had picked, that was sure.

She beamed. She for one was not a girl who'd be grieved by this turn of events. After all, she'd never had a chance for a gold in the first place and this was what they had all hoped for. A new High Reaches gold to join Dorath.

The bronze shot a woeful look at the unhatched egg, but he would mourn later. Now? Now, he would celebrate. Many bad things had happened, all of which he had bared witness to, but there was a light at the end of the tunnel for him.

Taking a deep breath, he moved on to the boys. Not for another dragon this time, but for him. He stopped, smiled and flicked his tail.

When I first arrived, I knew there was no one here for me. But after watching things, seeing things, I know now that I was wrong. Roheth is yours, Kamihan. Let us protect them all together.

The Weyrleader smiled at what he assumed to be the final Impression. He prepared to make the announcements needed after such celebration, but a small sound stopped him; a cracking noise from the only egg left on the sands.

"Well then, nevermind," D'astel said quietly to himself, leaning forward to watch the final dragon appear.

Trista watched the bronze find his bonded. She nearly cheered when she realized the last egg was hatching.

The bronze moved to the males. His progress halted, his tail giving a thoughtful flick as his lips slid into a smile. Obviously, he too had chosen His and would now converse with that person. Good, she was beginning to fear he'd found no one there..

A final cracking sound caught her ears and she looked back to the Brown Swirl egg hopefully--upon seeing a little crack on its shell, she gave a soft laugh. Well, it made it after all! Wonderful!

She watched the egg's progress, quite eager to see the last of the Dragonets. This was her first hatching, and to be so close to so many newborn Dragons had been the highlight of her year.

Kamihan...has impressed?

The wonderful Bronze from the beginning approached the boy next to Panata, and the younger candidate could only smile through his tears with the happiness for his friend. Brave Kamihan, who'd come running to him after he'd gotten hurt trying to help, now would forever have the proud Bronze who had protected the Queen in a similar manner.

Now, now, his friend would be able to protect everyone again but with the help of another. How...how wonderful! Kamihan !

Panata would have stayed crying if he had not heard the cracking from the last egg, and he wiped his face with the back of his hand as he turned his worried expression towards that last egg. It hadn't been a dud afterall!

So the boy who had caused that smaller candidate to get mauled had impressed, eh? And not just any dragon, but that Bronze who had watched and protected all the others that had hatched behind him? Leicha didn't know if he wanted to congratulate him or not, seeing as some of the disaster was his fault - but now was not the time to think about that.

One egg was left, and it was rocking. It was not a dud, and this was his last chance. He should have been excited, been watching, but instead Leicha slowly got to his feet and prepared to move himself over towards the wounded candidate, ready to carry him off the sands when this person had impressed someone other than him and the Panata.

Darcth probably didn't know it, or maybe he did, but he'd just made a friend for life. You did not disturb me. if I have need of anything I will ask you, and I hope you will do the same.

"Who are you talking to?" Remembering to speak in her mind was going to be quite hard for this chatterbox.

The sad brown, we are friends, Redfith said matter of factly.

"I am happy you're already making friends," she patted Redfith again, "Is that egg.." Zia didn't want to say it, she didn't want to think of one of the dragonets never making their way into the world. Sensing her rider's fear Redfith looked about, Do not worry, I think the egg is hatching.
