"Oh, hey Kat." Jeffery said, sitting back in his chair.
"Hey who is it? Is it that chick from the school? Teach, she'..."
"Shut up, alright?" Jeffery said, holding his hand over the phone, muffling it. He sighed, pulling his hand back. "Yeah, he's doing fine. What's going on?"

Rook stood beside Adam, listening to KAt's conversation. "Okay... Guys, I think we kinda need to figure this whole team thing out... Because I'm having a small issue adapting to this whole not having resources thing... To be honest, I'm kind of nervous, and I kinda of want to get on the level with folks after she's done on the phone..."

Kat's eyes widened slightly. "You have him there?" She turned around, pacing back the other direction. "What's going on is a plan. We thought it would be a good idea to drag Lincoln out, use me as bait, and ambush him. That would eliminate one of the more present threats. But in order to do so, we need a bit of back up." Kat paused in her steps, leaning her hip against the couch. "How is the kid's trust? Think he'd be willing to listen to us? or would we spook him too soon?"

"That chick was crazy, coach! I think she was one of the bad guys!"
"Chill, alright?" He said, covering the phone again. "Umm, how about I get back to you on that?" He said, frowning over at Samuel.
"Well," Jarred said to Rook while Kat was on the phone, "we still have a lot of resources at our disposal, just not as much. We should be able to keep ourselves alive, but we need to plan this ambush out more."

"Call me later, and good luck with it." Kat said, sighing as she hung up on Jeffery. She slipped the phone back into her pocket, glancing over at Jarred and Rook. "Actually planning some things would be a wise idea. But we're doing that, so I don't think there's anything to discuss at the moment. At least not until we know the players for sure." Kat started for the door. "As for resources, those we can pick up at a grocery store."

Jarred got up, nodding. "Then shopping. Again, we go."

Kat smiled at Jarred, holding her hand out for his car keys. "Again we go? I believe this would be our first shopping experience, Jarred. I'd think you'd be excited, being cooped up in a couple of apartments all day. Don't you like getting out?"

"That I do. I have some brief errands to run anyways, touching home at the arcade and all. I might close it till this whole mess is sorted out." He glanced over at Adam, then the assembled. "Considering the new kid, me and Kat can take this. We'll make it quick, but I don't want to leave the kid with strangers."

Kat finally put her hand down as she realized Jarred wasn't going to hand over his keys. She didn't fight it though, considering she had already hijacked a car, driven over two people, and abandoned the vehicle. She could honestly say she'd had her driving adventure for the day. "Call if you guys think of something you need. Otherwise it's not my fault if I pick up the wrong cereal brand."
She turned on her heel and headed towards the door. "Arcade?" She asked, Jarred, "Don't tell me you live so well off the profits of an arcade."

"Keep everything in one piece." Jarred smiled as he walked out.
"No no, I live off of my inheritance. When my grandfather passed away, he left everything to me, including his vast fortunes, also including his arcade." Jarred made his way to the SUV. "I worked there as a kid and I suppose I never stopped. I don't like playing highroller, what can I say?"

Rook made his way towards the entry, leaning down and grabbing the bag that intially lead them to ambush Crane. Making his way to the table, he removed the Laptop, and set it on the table, and powered it on. After a few moments of browsing, he found Crane's list, and began to read through it. "Jesus christ... They found a lot of kids at the school..."

Roxanna quietly walked behind him, looking over his shoulder at the list. She frowned as she saw the mass amounts of names. "What would they have done with them?"

"Same thing with they did with Sam. tried to bring them in, or kill them." He trailed down, shaking his head, "Looks like Crane was able to stay in contact long enough to glean some kind of idea of their powers, too. A few firestarters, a levitator, a flying boy..." He looked on and on the list, pausing at Marcus Shipp, listed as black, "And that one's beyond saving. He should prolly be the next one we find. Either they're gonna kill him, or he goes postal when they try and kill him, and it gets scary either way."

Roxanna's eyes widened slightly. "Marcus Shippe, how unexpected." She gave a slight nod, "I can find him, he seemed particularly interested in keeping me safe after my husband's funeral. Perhaps we may even be able to receive his help."
