catching it reflexivly she sniffed the vial, her nose twitching as she swallowed it quickly. smiling in thanks even as she tried not to taste it. it did add a bit of warmth back into her, her eyes dilating properly once again and her fangs receding.. but the thing didnt leave fully, it still lurked in the back of her mind as if in reassureance.. rocking back on her heels she rubbed the back of her head, ignoring the dirt that coated her skin as she asked in a puzzled tone. " I wanted to kill you just now, and your.. happy?" she admired Banshi, yes.. but at the moment she wasnt sure just how saine her Lady was. what ever it was inside of her, it was dark and aggressive.

"You are strong, and you supressed that wanting. That does make me happy with you, Mercy." Walking over to her, Banshi placed a hand on her shoulder and said very kindly, "I promise that I'll never let you kill me, alright? You can control that nature... it takes time. You will make progress, Mercy, you already are."

Soothed at her promise Mercy smiled slightly, resorting to her usual defense when things got touchy.. that is, change the subject. faking a scowl she placed her hands behind her head, her weight resting on her left heel as she complained good naturedly. " alright, if we are doing this hunting thing then i want a shower. there is enough soil on me to grow another forest."

Banshi shrugged, removed her hand and said, "There is a village near by, surely you can remove some of that dirt there." She did find it rather funny still.

" Maybe with a garden hose." Mercy laughed, gesturing for Banshi to lead the way. she knew that the training would go on.. but for now, she wanted to get used to the thing inside of her and what set it off.. find what buttons to push, so to speak. ruffling her hair she winced at the shower of dust and dirt that rained from it, asking distractedly. " i think i found a name, a tittle like yours. its.. silly, never mind." a blush had crept across her face, embarassed at her idea and buisying herself with dusting herself off.

Banshi glanced at her and said, "It's alright, you can tell me. Do you wish to tell me while we are walking towards the village?" With that, Banshi walked towards her, and gently tapping her arm, pointed straight ahead. Everything in the forest looked the exact same, but she knew the place by heart.

Her happy-go-lucky smile sliped into place as she shruged, running ahead. reaching a good distance she paused and turned, her expression happy as she called back. " The Sheild." and turned to race forward once again with a childs enthusiasm. to her it fit perfectly, stone hadnt hurt her and the thing inside of her was a protector.. and of course, she would protect her kind with everything she had.

Banshi smiled silently to herself, I wish for you the best, Mercy. Suddenly appearing right ahead of Mercy, Banshi smiled and said in a light manner, "Did you know that once I lost my wallet in here? Back a few hundred years ago... actually met a very good friend of mine that way. Anyways, lets get out of here and get you washed up."

When at last Eric felt some of his energy return he bolted upright, Korin pressing against his hip to help him stay up as he shook his head.. seeming close to snaping at her for helping him. he didnt know how to handle others being kind to him, and in defense he grew aggitated. " Dont help me, it will only get me killed by your father."

"Like daddy would ever kill you. You are his best employer, me helping you when you are hurt won't make him get angry. He knows how I am." She pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them, her hair falling around her.
"So are you going to bolt like you always do? You don't like being around my father, so why feel different around me?" The last part was more of a whisper and more to herself then it was to Eric.

Traquin The silver studs in his left ear glinted as he turned his head, his sides burning as he took a deep breath. he knew that voice. Come on Erik, get better. ignoring the sorness in his chest he attempted to sit up, his lips thining as he gritted his teeth. with a last effort he finally gave up, allowing his head to fall back in her lap as he managed in a cracked whisper. " just.. a moment. sorry." his Cyber shades, neon green and imposible to see through, hid his eyes.. but his stiff posture told everything. the fits came more and more, and it shamed him that of all people Alhena was the one to find him like this. The two Shadows, soothed that their master was alright, relaxed. Kara, fickle as ever and reassured the danger was over, dashed for the water.. vanishing just as she would have hit it. in another moment she took shape again behind the girl, nudging her gently and knocking her back into the water. Korin simply sat at the waters edge, watching them play as he stood guard over Erik and Alhena.
"Oh! Wait!" Kneeling beside her pile of shells, Thalia struggled to pull open a shell, relieved when it opened to reveal a pearl. "Here, give this to Eric, okay?"

Eric hesitated, his lips pressing into a thin line as he sat carefully back on the ground. Korin made a sound of approval and lay behind him, the strange beasts eyes sliding half closed as his tail twitched and curled. Pushing a lock of hair away from his face Eric closed his eyes, the gesture hidden by his wrap around shades. “ I don’t like being near othersin general.. Tane is one of the harsher humans I’ve ever met, yet..” his chin lifted, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. “ there is something I like near him right now. when it is gone ill wonder off again.”
Kara made a thrilled sound, scooting under the girl until Thalia was sitting astride her back. With a clicking sound she leapt into a shadow gate, carrying the girl safely to the others and trotting to Eric’s side.. crouching slightly so Thalia could offer her gift to him. Kara and Korin could speak, through body language and clicks/whistles.. a language purely their own.

"And what would that thing be? Money? You can get that anywhere you go. I've seen it passed around. Weapons? You can buy those off the black market for sure." She didn't mean to be snappish at him, but she didn't like being pushed away when trying to help.
She pulled her hair back into a pony tail and then started to work on the complicated bun that she always had it in. "Do you know when this thing you like will wonder off?"

" Not all teasure is silver and amo, Alhena. its what you consider priceless that really matters." lifting his hand he patted Kara's nose, his left hand held over the ground as his fingers twitched in concentration. a small shadow twisted from the earth, curling and wiggling under his palm.. then he let it fade, pleased he had managed even that much. more to himself than to the girls, he mused. " Not as bad as the last.. magic isnt as drained."

Alhena watched quietly and finished her bun on the back of her head. "So what now? Are you going to be leaving soon?" She honestly didn't want him to go, but she wasn't going to tell him that.
She stood up and looked around her a moment, sighing. "If I lose that sword daddy will kill... oh there it is." She walked over by the lake and picked up her sword, walking back and placing back on the ground gently.
