He could not. Sykee confirmed, shifting to her human form and drawing her blade.. pointing it at Salazar as she started to stalk forward. " I am that which guards Rosette, my lady's wrath bound to mortal flesh." Her red gaze flicked over his form, with a hint of malice. " Admit your shame, and ask M'lady's forgiveness for your words." She neither enjoyed nor hated killing.. if he pressed on, she would do all she could to end him.

Salazar was at a loss for words. He would be downing pills like a madman right now were it not for the whole 'overdose' thing. "For starters...who the hell is Rosette? And secondly, I can't really control what blurts out of my mouth. And you are NOT helping that factor. So lets but down the sword and be reasonable." One of his hands went down in an effort to show he wasn't hostile, even though that hand was now placed securely on Jackie's gun.

Kirai moved forward and gently placed her hand on Sykee's shoulder, giving her a soft and kind smile. She mouthed the words, 'thank you'. Turning to face Salazar, she said very calmly. "Salazar... I've recently found out my identity, and Rosette Andrea Grey is my name by birth." I can't believe I forgot to mention that to him. Pausing, she thought to Sykee, Sykee... are you here for the sake of guarding, or training me in the arts I am to learn? I should just like to know... and I am very grateful for your presence.

Both. I am to be your familiar, Master.. if you have need of me, you need only call. Calmly meeting Salazar's gaze she sliced her blade against the grave to her left, the stone rotting away from around the cut. It was a warning to him, if it touched his skin it would do the same. I am please to be of use.. though I have not drawn blood for you as of yet. For some reason Kirai cared for this creature, she would give him more of a chance to correct himself than she would most others. Retreating two steps she sheathed her sword, leaning against a large stone cross and closing her eyes. " Repeat the mistake and I shall remove your tongue, so you may not further burden my Lady with its venom."

The look on Salazar's face was priceless. Sykee words had little to no effect on him compared to Kirai's. His face was a mix between extremely amused and extremely disgusted. The disgust must have hit him first because he rushed to a nearby grave and puked behind it. Well...maybe the pills had something to do with that...Wiping his mouth clean, he returned to where he was standing and now just looked amused. "So wait...Grey? As in Edward Grey? Oh my Gaap that is ******** hilarious. Hold up, I've been waiting to use this line for a while now. 'Incest? More like wincest, amirite?'"

Her stomach twisted into knots and she lowered her head. "Salazar... <******** off." Kirai didn't even look at him, she just turned her back to him to face Sykee. That was the second time in Kirai's entire life she had ever cussed, and never had she thought she would ever be angry enough to use a word as vile as that. But it was either that, or take up Sykee on that generous offer, which wasn't looking too bad to Kirai at that moment. "Sykee... I would really like to get to know you better. Perhaps... there is a place of your liking we can go to do so?"

Salazar stopped laughed when Kirai swore. Guess I hit a nerve with that one... "Sorry, couldn't help myself." Now that his fit of comedy was over some questions began to form in his mind. "So all jokes aside, who is this Sykee? And furthermore why is she protecting you?"

Kirai again paused. "That's none of your concern." Her voice was practically venomous; it trembled, was very stiff, very cold, and obviously muffling much anger. I'll cut out his tongue myself if he continues begging me to, please do not concern yourself at this very moment, alright?

Salazar shrugged his shoulders. "True. Alright well one last thing then, where can I find Edward? I need to speak with him about the whole 'war criminal' thing." Right, thats exactly what he needed to do...right.

"He was at the RCS building in the Outerlands last." Kirai answered with out delay. At this point, she was so frustrated with him, she just wanted him gone. She didn't even hear anything he said past the question. When would she learn to stop trusting people? It was official: she had the worst taste in men. The only way she figured this could get worse was if one of them died, or if Edward suddenly decided he would try to kill her! Internally, she was going on a major rant right about now.

"Thanks." Salazar said quietly, now regretting what he had said earlier. "I'll keep in touch. In the meanwhile, enjoy your new life. Thats not a negative thing either. Seriously, get out there and enjoy it. You've earned it. Take care." With not a word otherwise, he grabbed his things and made his way out of the graveyard. So I get to see the famed Edward once more. Lets see if he's become any less of a p***k....

Riley remained silent through their exchange, her gaze oddly affectionate as she watched Salazar vanish. Jackie loved him, the fool... but, being two sides of the same coin, what Jackie felt.. so too would Riley. Pushing herself away from the tombstone she shook her head, ignoring the way her body seemed to fade.. solidifying again when she sheathed her sword. " my time has run out.. call on me, my lady, and i shall sheild you." she could no longer live a half existance.. the embodyment of Jackie's dark faith. it was time the little shifter woke up to who she really was. stretching out her arm she placed a hand on Kirai's shoulder.. shareing her knowledge with her, teaching as best she could how to use the magic of the goddess.. before her body truely faded away. " When we meet again, priestess, it will be you who teachs me."

The moment her hand touched Kirai, she suddenly knew. All these things fell upon her, and they felt so familiar.. Then, when Riley vanished, Kirai remembered to breath. Again, now, in this graveyard... Kirai was alone. But there was a warmth, and a comfort inside of her... She had gotten what she had came for. Rosette had already grown to love Riley as a friend and sister, which was so far away from the hate she felt for her before. Despite the hurt Salazar placed upon her, and how much he complicated things, she felt no ill will towards him (even when he did something which really tempted her to potentially end him).
"....I now understand." Kirai whispered softly to herself, so quietly she could hardly hear her own words. Raising and looking at her hand, she could feel a pulse from the tattoo which branded her on the back of her left shoulder. Her eyes closed. Kirai had never been one to take any job lightly... Especially now. Knowing these things was not enough for her, she needed to practice, to grow more comfortable, to learn everything she was capable of. Also, because she felt that she had been given too much... And had not yet given enough in return.

Rosette had left, and later in the night returned. She moved to the center of the graveyard, where she took out her cut throat razor. Sliding it across her wrist, blood dripped down onto the ground, and the crimson red seemed to glisten in the moonlight against the silver blade. Kneeling down, she cut a pentagram into the earth, which the point for 'spirit' directed at herself. Inside of this, she drew Nature's seal; the oak leaf with the skull. By the time she had finished, the wound on her wrist had healed with no trace of a scar. Crossing her right arm over her chest and touching the mark, her other hand placed itself steady on the ground outside the circle. Kirai bowed her head. The words she spoke seemed to echo through her, taking in her whole being. "Nature, my new master... Please tell me your will; give me command, and I shall fulfill it with haste."

(( X.x jeez this feels weird ))
The space in front of her stirred, dead leaves and soil rising.. until a tree grew before her, twisting and growing until its blood red leaves blocked out the moonlight.. delicate white and pink roses blooming from its branches. at its base, where the roots protruded, Nature was sitting.. humming softly as she twinned a handful of roses together in a circlet. Her hands continued their work as she looked down upon Kirai, eyes kind as she chided softly. " Dear Rosette.. you offer your service, but you do not understand what is expected of you yet." she gestured to the mossy root across from her, white roses falling onto it neatly. " come, weave with me."
