Emily felt a little panic at the statement about the flying with her. She didn't like being out of control of her situation. She perfered to stay on the ground when possible. "Thanks, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass on that. I don't plan on being here to long", she said. "Am I sure I'm going to leave?" , she thought. "Maybe if things work out, maybe then I'll stay".

Emily adjusted her sling and began thinking about the night. First she had been 'abducted', then she had found Katie's house, then they all lefft to this house, then the lizard showed up at the door, and know she was having a talk with Kiana. "What a night", she thought. Emily then thought about the whole thing with the lizard lady. It was awfully suspicious that she just happend to stumble across a hideaway for half-breeds. "Then again, she thought, That's what I did".

Kai sighed lightly as he walked along the sidewalk to the nearby gas station, he went in and bought a pack of cigarettes, lighting one after he came out. He didn't like smoking and didn't really need to, but when something was bothering him it calmed him down a bit. Pocketing the pack, he blew out some smoke and walked back down the street heading back home.

Katie sighed, "It looks like the weather is dying down a bit.. I think I'm going to head out.. I suggest that everyone else get some rest as I don't know when the next time we will have the oppurtunity..." She turned to Emily, "Eh.. would you mind if I got your cell phone number..? I can call and let everyone know if I find a way out of the city." After she got the number, she headed out, in disguise. She passed a guy smoking (Kai), though Katie didn't think much of him--he didn't look apart of the military. She headed into the gas station and looked at the maps on the counter. hmmm.. A map of the city and a slightly broader map. She then realized that Scotty had the rest of their money... She looked at the cashier and then looked outside.. Eh.. I can't go back.. and I don't think I should bring the others into this.. She then set the maps back and headed outside, What to do....

When Katie asked Emily for her cell number, Emily immediatly smirked. Of course, Katie wouldn't know that Emily had no cell phone. Emily sighed. She wasn't sure if the weather dying down was a good thing.

Kai glanced as girl passed him, but didn't take much notice of her.. he paused when a stray dog crossed the street and came up to him.. He searched through his pockets, but didn't find anything for the dog..sighing lightly he turned and headed back to the gas station.

Emily turned to Kiana. "I'm not sure if should go to a big city like New York, too many people". "Well Emily, THAT was the lamest excuse ever not to go to a big city".

Katie had been deep in thought when she bumped into the guy she had passed earlier, causing her to fall to the ground, and instinctively she had turned around to land on her hands and feet, and popped her tail out of hiding to help her balance.. Oh no.... not good... She then almost instantaneously brought her tail around her waist like it had been before and twisted herself to look as though she fell on her bottom all before she had hit the ground.. Hoping that the guy she bumped into wouldn't notice or question what he had seen.. "Sorry..." She apologized for bumping into him rather quietly.. Though to make things worse, the dog started barking ferociously at her.. "Kyaaaa!" she said trying to shield herself from the dog.

Kai got a hold of the dog and looked at the girl, he decided to use his belt as a makeshift muzzle/collar to make it easier to control the dog.
"...was that a..real tail?
He wondered if he was just imagining what he just saw...then shook his head.
"Are you alright miss?"
He extended his free hand to help the girl up, keeping the dog away from her.

Emily had just made the excuse not to go to New York when she got a feeling. A bad feeling. "Kiana, I think something's wrong. I'm going out to find Katie". Emily grabbed her jacket and put it on. She ran out, her left sleeve empty due to her cast.

Katie stood up rather quickly not noticing the extended hand the guy was giving.. She seemed more aware of the dog even though he was now in a collar. "Eh.. yeah... Just landed in a snow bank.." she said nervously.. "Sorry, but I've got to go..." She turned away from him and took a few steps.. She figured heading to a hideout she and Scotty had kept before meeting the others might have some cash stashed..

Kai held the dog back when it tried to go at the girl again, the dog usually came by his apartment every few days almost like a pet..he's never seen it attack a person like that.. and that tail he saw... He took his lighter out of his pocket and lit it in front of the dog, the one thing that scared it..so Kai released the dog and it ran down a nearby alley, Kai put his belt back on then caught up with the girl and walked calmly near her.
"Are you in some sort of trouble miss?"

Emily was searching for Katie when she saw a dog running down a ally way towards her. When the dog saw her it began barking at her. "Oh come on!", she said. She backed up a little, waiting for the dog to strike. She assumed it would strike for the chest area. As the dog leaped towards her she suppressed her panther instincts to kill. She sidestepped the dog with extreme speed, bringing her hand down on its neck, not enough to kill it, but to cause it run off in pain. The dog yelped loudly as it was struck, and it backed into a small corner with a garbage can. Emily continued to walk through the allyway.
