"Ya gotta help me carry 'is sonnuva b***h." Rufus said, crouching down as his fingers slipped under the flimsy pallet underneath. "Moe, get ya a** ova' 'ere and do somethin'!" Something entered his ears that displeased him. Pangs of heavy footfall on concrete.

"So worst case secnerio...a week and a half...Drop me off at the nearest town once he's okay and it's a deal" He said. "But first, I still have the matter of this crew to deal with" Alex said.

Derek looked the object up and down, then sighed and nodded. He went around to the otherside and got a good grip. The pallet was kinda splintery, but he gripped it tight, knowing time was of the essence. How long could the ship last under a hail of gunfire from a squadron of Constable ships? "The Steamcraft is in the northeastern corner of the warehouse, when you're ready." He said, crouching to get leverage when they started to lift.

Moe wailed a teensy bit in panic at the sound of footfall, but hurried over and tried to help them lift the boiler. "What route should we take?"

Remi's eyes opened. His head was throbbing like he had just been hit in the head with the butt of a knife, but he couldn't remember why. A few seconds later, he remembered that he had been hit in the head with the butt of a knife, and that made an awful lot of sense to him. What didn't make sense to him was the fact that he was in the air and that his assailant was with him. He would've yelled in alarm, but he was still dazed and his brain impulses weren't quite working right. He tried to get up but found his couldn't. He groaned in pain. He thought that schmuck had better not steal my Oud before passing out again.

"As much as it can be." Derek said, grunting a litle as they moved the boiler. "You need two people to start it, and one to pilot." They were soon in sight of the Steamcraft. There was a small platform between the two Starter's seats just barely big enough to fit the crate on. There was an elastic rope harness for loads that could slide, so that wouldn't be a problem. The platform was high, though, which might be.

Rufus craned his head, looking up at the device. Lactic acid beginning to creep into his uncomfortably positioned arms for holding the beast. "Where is it gonna go, in tha middle?"
The cannon stopped once again, the empty hammers striking nothing again. Cornelius pulled the clip out. He crouched, scooping up another as he sprang back to his height, slamming the cartridge in. Why hadn't they come back yet? His left arm began the crank again.

Moe listened to them for directions, since asking questions would do nothing but slow them down and make her look stupid. However, her panic blurred her common sense. "Is there anything we could use to get up there?"

"Yup, right in the middle... Just push." Derek said. With a low grunt, he began to heave upward, trying to get the boiler onto the platform 4 1/2 ft in the air. It was then that he, too heard the footsteps outside. The footsteps of a guard, probably coming to see what all the racket was about. He had't really thought about it, but they must've been making some noise, opening crates and rearranging boxes. If the guard had heard such racket, then he would naturally come to investigate. Unconsciously, Derek took in a breath. The footsteps approached the door. He let out his breath as the footsteps passed. The guard hadn't heard anything. They were in the clear.

"Woohmp!" Rufus pushed his arms up, his biceps trying to distribute the weight. He shoved the side onto the ship. The tips of the wearing black gloves ensured the crates stay on the edge. He jumped, his hands taking hold as he pulled his body up, now on board. Both arms took the crate, drawing it into the middle.

Once the boiler was safely secured, Derek jumped into the Pilot's chair. "Okay, you two need to pedal as hard as you can on those pedals behind me." He said, jerking his thumb behind him. "That should get the engine started, if I remember right." Checking everything he remembered to check, he prepared to release the steam. His little joyride had taught him a little about steering the craft, but he was still nervous.

Rufus carefully landed his footfall on the mesh of metal below him, walking to the right wing of the craft. He fell into the small rot iron chair, seeing the pedals right below. He placed each one on, his right foot moved downward with some difficulty, he continued to pedal on the tensed pedals that slowly began to move, the motion becoming slightly more slick with each rotation.

There was a hiss of steam from each side of the craft as the gauges began to rise. In less than a minute, they were hovering above the ground. "Hang on to your knickers!" Derek shouted above the roar of the steamcraft, twisting the throttle and pulling the clutch. Quite suddenly, almost without any warning, they shot forward, removing the doors of the warehouse fro their hinges as they went. The lone remaining guard began to chase them, but was left in their dust after they bowled through the electric fencing. Pulling a wide turn, Derek aimed them at the ships location, and took off for it, full throttle.
