~Jet Brody~

O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.

"I'll lead you there," Mike said to her. "But after that, I must leave." He opened the door and walked over to it, leading the way.

Jet piled away all the food. He looked around at all the other students in the room, eating happily with their friends. He could feel the powers of them in his body, but nothing emerged. He was happy. He could receive, but still repress. That was good. Now only if he could recall them.

He would work on that later tonight.

Rico Stexel

The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.

He smirked at the kid. He seemed a bit over-dramatic, but that could be tolerated. "Name is Rico. Metal manipulator," He informed him. "You?"

He thought maybe he could get this kid to end other "injustices" with him. Size the teachers down a bit, at least. Something for fun. Something to keep the two of them in power.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?

I am Aura

Aura frowned a bit as she followed after Mike. After catching up she walked alongside him and smiled a little. "So how long have you been a teacher..?" She asked, trying to make casual talk. She wasn't usually one to start a conversation, and her tone sounded a bit awkward because of it.

Thorne Ramiro

I'm strong on the surface,
Not all the way through.
I've never been perfect,
But neither have you…

Leaves fall softly down…

Thorne continued gazing at Mitsukai calmly absorbing her words without giving any exterior acknowledgement of the act. He felt a serene blanket wrap around his shoulders, and Thorne breathed deeply enjoying the fresh air—the calm induced by the lack of crowds. Thorne thrived in solitude and small numbers, always had and always will. He looked at her drinking in her features as his gaze slowly traveled along the contours of her face unknowingly committing them to memory. His attention was drawn to her brunette hair as it blew idly in the slight wind, strands escaping from their resting places flowing by the touch of invisible hands. The sweet sense of déjà vu overtook him as Thorne reached his hand out. His attention upon a lock that detached itself from the rest, he gently caught it and placed it behind her ear. Phantom touches brushed her skin as he retracted his hand and rested it back to its previous position. A compulsive gesture, a routine motion, nothing else…at least that’s what he told himself.

Red hues populate this earth…

Thorne let his eyes flicker to her focal point at the comment. A cluster of green turning red trees were sat back behind the field inviting the viewer to gaze at their depths should their attention wander from the games. Taking a moment to consider his thoughts, Thorne spoke softly as his eyes remained fixed on the trees, “You know…some would say fall is the ending, but really it is only the beginning. It’s the final preparation before the long sad winter. But, fall is necessary for the spring to come once again, or else winter would kill and smother slaughtering the vegetation. This perfect balance is necessary, and is shown repetitively throughout nature. The earth gives to the trees, and when the leaves fall they give back to the earth. What once gave life becomes in need of it and so the cycle continues. Each learning to live in perfect harmony or else all will die. So even if they wanted to go back, back to summer…back to spring, they can’t. They would die, and kill the balance that is critical for everything to survive. So, not looking back they must move forward to survive, and look forward to the new spring.”

The battle goes on.

Only after his short monologue did Thorne look back at Mitsukai observing her reaction. His double-edged words with their subtle hidden meanings should have been clear to her seeing her intimate connection with his memories and thoughts. He hadn’t said anything plainly because of her ability to argue with his reasoning. This way, she wouldn’t be able to argue without sounding out of place, and out of line. He had already made his decision. It was made at the moment he had watched the shark tooth sail over the trees and disappear from sight. Move forward, or else he wouldn’t survive. Going back was not an option.

When my time comes,
Forget the wrong that I've done.
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed.

Mitsukai

When Thorne moved the strand of hair behind her ear, Mitsukai felt her skin burn under his touch. A sweet common gesture, that always meant more than the act. She liked it. But would she admit it, no. Mitsukai listened to Thorne’s point. It took her until the end to grasp his concept. What he was implying was easier said than done. “But each different country has its own seasons. In Polar Regions in the day the seasons are either spring or summer. During the evening the seasons are either autumn of winter. So the plants don’t have to wait long to go back into what season they prefer. And they don’t die. They turn out just fine. But if you put a plant that could not handle the changing seasons, it’d die. So it depends on the plant and its ability to adapt. So just using America’s seasons isn’t very valid. All plants are different.” Mitsukai said and smiled at her quick thinking. She may hate geography, but she loved it now.

She looked at Thorne. “If you think you’re going to keep to your decision, you’re denying what you think about quite a bit.” Mitsukai said softly. “You might be more of a polar plant than a North America plant, you never know.” Mitsukai said, ending their talking in weird phrasing. She looked down at her ungloved hand. It was a good distraction. But there was nothing interesting about them. No dirt under her fingernails, no simple flaws. Just lightly tan skin that looked harmless. They would be pale if Mitsukai wasn’t Asian. Mitsukai then looked back at Thorne.

Some of those that burn crosses

//:Archimedes Primus++
. . . Devon's brow furrowed. Metal manipulator. That was pretty legit. To demonstrate his power, the redhead extracted his cell phone and set it on the table. He held his fist out, then splayed his fingers; as the fist opened, the cell phone burst into a million pieces, lying on the table like a dead animal. Then, he reclosed his fist, and the cellphone pieced itself back together, not unlike a jigsaw puzzle. "Archimedes. Technopath. At your service," he offered, holding his hand out to shake. This kid seemed to have a bit of an edge on him. An edge Devon was drawn to.

His eyes were drawn to a scene of some school officials swarming the hallway to mop up the mess he'd made with the ceiling sprinklers. Ooo, he'd really done a number on the carpet, he bet. However, he couldn't bring himself to care too much. Since he was implanted at thirteen against his better knowledge, and his family and friends' minds wiped, Devon had never had much respect for authority. For all he cared, they were peons, liars, manipulators. They deserved every crappy thing that happened to them — especially if it was Devon inflicting it. He sent a small glare towards them before returning to Rico. When he'd caused trouble back at his old school with his friends, they hadn't really done anything so extensive as property damage — mostly it was stuff like hiding things from the teachers and pulling fire alarms — but they'd taken his friends away from him. They could deal with a measly wet carpet. Devon returned the smirk.
. . .

are the same that hold office.

O, it is excellent to have a giant's strength, but it is tyrannous to use it like a giant.

"Today. Same as you," Mike replied. "But I wouldn't really call me that."

Jet finished his food and left for his room. He still had a lot of work to catch up on. And then his special homework.

He at at the desk in his room, looking at the pile of homework. He was unsure of how exactly it had gotten there, but knew that at this school, anything was possible. He had books for a bunch of advanced classes. He had been the head of his class at his old school, and was pushed up in grade.

He sighed as he read through the notes. Everything had seemed so simple then, but it was like gibberish to him now.

Rico Stexel

Rico nodded at the demonstration of power. It was quite impressive, indeed. Useful, and if he turned against Rico, he could just destroy the metal of the technology. Liquid metal leaked out from under his clothes, forming into a fist. It hovered towards Archimedes' hand and shook it.

He noticed the quick glare at the officials. It was brief, but he could see that the kid had a extreme distaste for the authority, much like himself.

"I'm guessing you're a tad of a trouble-maker yourself. Screw the authority and all?" He asked.

Tell me something, my friend. You ever dance with the devil by the pale moonlight?

Aura couldn't help but laugh a little, "I'm not a teacher... well at least not yet." She started to explain, "I'm still in college, though when I got an acceptance letter from a school i've never heard of to be a student-teacher and after graduation, a promise of a full time job spot.." she sighed, "Well with it being so hard to find a school to student-teach at, let alone find a teaching position.. I was pretty curious as to if this place is legit or not since the letter gave only one condition: that I attend a strange special power class thing...." She couldn't remember what the name of the classes were where everyone learned to control their powers.

Lily saw this girl sit at the table and was slightly confused. She had made no friends yet today and now some girl was willing to sit with her? She made the assumption that it was a friend of Alex. She then heard the girl speak and nodded in slight relief, "Yeah, that's fine... and that's kind of strange. Alex is usually the really nervous type who hardly speaks." She giggled lightly and continued to eat her food.

Alex nodded at her and continued to wait in line. He got to the food and started to load his plate up, he was really hungry. But it was still taking a while to get to the line where you pay for the food. He finally got there and paid the lunch lady. He then headed to the table where Lorrie and Lily were.

It's been FOUR DAYS since we had multiple people posting in this roleplay.
I understand that ONLY FOUR PEOPLE and probelly 6-8 characters arnt posting.
But if the person you're roleplaying with is on a trip, it's okay to make up an excuse for you're character to say goodbye.
THE REST OF Y'ALL NEED TO BE POSTING! If you're not on the extended absesnce list, you have NO EXCUSE!
I like this roleplay. I want this roleplay to last till like 400 pages
(which is how long the original lasted)
So DONT KILL IT NOW.

Sorry for being mean about it, i just dont like cheacking every day for the past four days unable to post and seeing the roleplay slowly dieing.

When i'm stressed (which i am) i need something to relive that stress. Writting is that stress reliver

Cadence finished eating her meal and got up to throw the tray away. It had indeed been an eventful day. Mitsuaki had went outside, Thorne in suit, no doubt they were talking things out. Now it seemed as if Daina found that she liked Adam, or at least that's what it appeared to look like. Cadence herself was getting over boy drama. 'Oh well,' she thought, 'at least I know he isn't worth it, if he freaks out over such a major part of my life.' .

User Image

Nikky turned her attention to Joseph. "Why so quiet? Usually you are much more talkative than this.." She noted teasingly. Nikky continued to munch on her lunch, noticing what was going on with the others at her table. L was tormenting Adam again, and Daina seemed to be joining her. Cadence sat quite, no doubt something was bothering her, Nikky would have to ask later of course. Mitsukai had left, to have some privacy with Thorne. "So, how has your day been?" She asked Joseph.

PostPosted: Sun Jul 26, 2009 6:26 pm

Joesph.

Joseph looked around the lunch room. He was debating wither to disappear or not. Plus he was worried about Mitsukai. Joseph looked over at Lorrie. She actually looked very sweet. But Joe was very sure why Mitsukai didn’t like her. And he didn’t like that thought. But Joe was going to befriend Lorrie. If Mitsukai got mad about it that was her problem. Lorrie shouldn’t have to look around for a lunch table, so she’d sit with them tonight? Well maybe. Just hopefully he had next class with her.

After a while of thinking Joseph finished his food. “So, everyone stay clear of Mitsukai until this blows over. Y’all know it’ll never last long. She’s nice.” Joe said to the table, having a few people nod in agreement. Mitsukai was the one to make friends with who ever she could. And she’d do that here.

Joe looked at the people, he smiled at Nikky."Today, it's been good. Just confussing. You?” He said softly. He knew Nikky had something up her sleeve dealing with the Mitsukai drama. Hopefully it didn’t harm Lorrie. Mitsukai not liking someone wasn’t good since Mitsukai had so many friends. So Joe was going to help Lorrie until Mitsukai got over this.

Cory.

Cory halfway listened to the conversation at the table. His mind was at what Mitsukai was doing with Thorne. The more he thought about it, the more he got upset. Cory shuffled in his seat, realizing half the people at the table disliked him. If anyone knew Mitsukai’s wrath, it was him. He got up quickly, before anyone turned on him. L was in a bad mood, and L hated Cory, due to Mitsukai’s wrath. Mitsukai had great friends.

Cory walked outside, towards the sport field. He noticed Mitsukai was there, and moved to the other end of the field, the other bleachers. He looked at Mitsukai longingly, God he missed her. He pushed the fact outta his mind and played with his iPod. He put his headphones in his ear and listened to music, it was a good distraction. He sang softly, but couldn’t keep himself from peeking over there. If Thorne ever hurt her, he was going to kill him.

Thorne Ramiro

I'm strong on the surface,
Not all the way through.
I've never been perfect,
But neither have you…

Thorne’s lips quirked in amusement, when Mitsukai played along with the plant talk, but frowned when she suggested that he was a polar plant. Leaning backwards so that his back rested on the seat behind him, Thorne rested his elbows on the seat behind and glanced at the sky avoiding her gaze. “Polar plants are too self-gratifying,” he said not quite ending their coded discussion. “Just because something is thought about, doesn’t mean it will ever happen. Just because a plant dreams of walking doesn’t mean it’s possible.” Thorne sighed and looked back at her his head tilted to one side as if recalling some deep excess of knowledge that had been lodged somewhere in his brain. “And besides,” he said regarding her, “You’re more of a Karvy bloom, and no self-respecting botanist would let that flower get away from him.” A pause, a stare, the moment passed, and what it was, Thorne didn’t know.

“I don’t know what you want from me,” Thorne said laughing in a self-deprecating way hating the mixed signals he kept receiving from every female on the planet. First she wanted him to stay away from Lorrie, now she’s saying that it was fine, yet at the same time didn’t mean it. It made him frustrated, but he supposed that he was also at fault because he started the veiled discussion. He stared at her wondering if he looked long enough, her secrets would unfold. She had been examining her hands, avoiding his gaze presumably. They were bare and Thorne fought back the inane desire to reach out and hold them, but it would be stupid to catch her off guard again. Tearing his gaze from the delicate things that lay in her lap, Thorne took to speaking again to distract himself, and to fill the silence that pressed down on his ears. He glanced over at the opposite bleachers, and scowled. Great, an audience.“What did you see in Cory?” Oh, s**t. That wasn’t what he wanted to say. Well, it had been, but he hadn’t meant to say it. He shouldn’t bring up another ex. God, he was so thoughtless. Thorne ran a hand through his hair, and gave a nervous chuckle, “You don’t have to answer that.” He said giving her an out to his own stupidity.
