She rubbed the back of her head.
"Lost most of the actual med wing to a nut with a bomb in his gut about 12 years ago."
She kept tapping buttons and the machine moved over to Reeve.
"This is actually Xenobiology lab three. It has humanoid examination equipment still though."
The machine fanned out once over Reeve, plenty of little odds and ends looking at him.
"Just lay back when you're ready, and don't worry it just needs the visual data for now"
She typed a few more things on whatever she was seeing. Not even looking over at Reeve as she worked.
"Probably need to get a blood sample when it pulls whatever that is out..."
She blinked a few times at some of the information she was apparently seeing.

"Twelve years? Where've I- wait. Pull what out?"
Reeve glances nervously upward as he lies back, arms folded behind his head.

There were plenty of flashing lights, beams and plenty of other things happening all at once. After several seconds a green light came on.
"Yeah, it was before I came here, part of the reason I was stuck looking like an eight year old... again... till my body decided to catch up on aging again."

"You're...kinda turning me epileptic here," Reeve says, trying to measure his breathing as his eyes blink rapidly. It kinda reminded him of the boot sequence...

She chuckled.
"That almost never happens."
Her tone turned serious.
"Turn over, something on your back that the scans didn't see clearly..."

Reeve flips over, laying his head on his folded arms. She could probably tell how tense he was.
"What....? What is it?"

The machine repeated it's process.
The girl walked over and looked at his back in person as the machine was working.
"It's a seal..."
She walked around him, looking at it from different angles.
"I think you have a kill switch on your back..."
She shook her head.
"Not a high priority, Implants can come out first..."
She started tapping at the air and the machine shifted parts around, several needles clustering around the first point.
"This may hurt a bit, then the others shouldn't do much more then tingle..."

"Uh, wait. Why are they there? What do they do? For all I know, I might need 'em..."
Reeve rocks nervously from side to side.
"Of course, get rid of the kill switch..."

She walked around the table more, examining the seal before responding.
"You'll be fine without them"
She returned her attention to the kill switch.
"Considering this kill switch is a seal the machines aren't going to do anything.... well unless you want them to scrape off every layer of skin with ink on it, but that would be painful... and as a rai user I doubt you'd like a non conductive rubberized plastic skin on your back to patch it up while it healed."
With a hand behind her back she pushed a button, the first needles went in near the neck with a sting, then just a tingle like when an arm or leg would fall asleep, only throughout his body.
"Be careful not to bite your tongue while they're working, that was the blood sample, it should just take a few more pokes for the implants"

Ishira walked off the tram and walked back to the dojo. She sighed, rubbing her fore arms that were wrapped up to her shoulders. They stung, but werent as bad as before, at least they were clean. Now on to better things! Ishira needed to change, into something less beat up or something. She also needed to find Reeve as well, get to know him more, and see how much time it would take him before he took her pendant. Only one problem, she really didnt know where they had gone....

A thought would pop into Ishira's head. It wouldn't seem telepathic in nature, having no clear 'voice' associated to it.
"Why not look for them inside where Lina was taking Reeve. It's not like there could be any harm to it, she's still the half rate inverter she's always been."

Ishiras brow cocked. How the hell? Was everyone getting into her brain now? She sighed, rubbing both of her temples. She knew the thought wasnt her own, she never thought that way about people. Lina was brilliant by all means, Ishira always looked up to that.... Yah, granted there were many interesting steps to the point in which she was at, but still. Ishira started towards where she had seen Reeve and Lina last.

Lina twitched for just a moment, knowing that whatever she had just felt had to wait.

Reeve winces initially, but as the tingle takes over he focuses on the wall in front of him.
"Any idea where all this stuff came from? What it does? I mean, the kill switch I can guess..."

Lina thought for a few moments, watching the second jab. A small red dot of light flicked in and out of existence in a moment before the needle retracted and went about it's work with the rest.
"Well... it's a brilliant bit of technology someone implanted in you... years ahead of schedule. Someone's already playing with advanced Biotics."
She tilted her head up, thinking for a moment, or maybe looking at something she was seeing through the weird eyepiece.
"Best guess I have, off the top of my head mind you, is that they're all just to help you control that suit of armor you were using. But this is telling me things have come into motion that I may have had a hand in."
The machine finished with a second jab to the same spot that left Reeve numb, he would find suddenly feeling would come back, and aside from a faint feeling of several something's under his skin not all that much would tell him what he had just experienced.
"Oh, and do avoid the pills, might not feel like coffee either, gave you a week or so worth of, lacking any better term, addiction suppressants, should burn out the need for this pills... and coffee, smokes, or any other minor addictive substance you'd have trouble getting off."
Once Ishira would arrive at the room there would seem to be something out of the corner of her vision, but it never was there with a second glance.
