Mashiro Morimoto 4th-Seat

PostPosted: Wed Jul 29, 2009 6:49 pm

Mashiro looks over the new shinigami, as if it was inspection. He looked built enough and would make a fine officer, if he is given the chance. Mashiro gave a respectful bow, as was tradition, and stayed in this position until Danko gave the same jesture. " Well, I take it you have met the Captain already, since I saw you earlyer before you left. Speaking of which... where is Hatsume?" He asked looking around. He thought she was with him, but she was propably on her mission given to her by Sensei. " Well, even if you have met the Captain, allow me to introduce him again for you." walking toward the Captain, Mashiro spoke, green]" Danko-san, this is Captain MockaDash of Squad 13, Mock-Taichou for short. He is also my and Hatsume's Sensei." A feeling of pride came over him as he said this.

Danko bowed to Mashiro after Mashiro bowed to him, then he followed him over to the Captain and smiled and bowed "Captain MockaDash" he said politely.

Hi there! Danko, right? Nice to meet you. Mock said, between puffs of tobacco smoke. Standing up, the Captain said I'm bored. Wanna fight?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 30, 2009 9:04 pm

Alder walked in right as Mock mentioned fighting, and his Zanpakuto revved so loudly that Alder dropped it in shock. "....My apologies...." Alder muttered. He was excited too, but noticed that the invitation wasn't open ended. He took a seat on the ground, nearly motionless. He couldn't control the flow of his emotions into his reiatsu, and he started to feel offset. He'd wanted to fight the captain for a long time, and these constant patterns of getting close, then being turned away were starting to frustrate him very deeply.

(( I'm gonna say that Mock already felt your arrival, since it would be natural - this is a wide open space and you can't shumpo so... Is this acceptable? ))

Mock had felt Alder's presence as he was coming into view, that was about the same time Danko was introducing himself to the Captain. MockaDash therefore grinned, as he felt the fluctuations on Alder's reiatsu. Instead of apologizing, you should've greeted everyone in here. Or are you that reserved? He bluntly said to the newcomer. And then turned to Danko, as he said to him Danko-san, my pupil over there needs to learn something from you. It was a "dangerous" sentence as it was an unusual one, to be said like that. The reason was, that it could lead the boy (Danko) to become over-confident, or make Mashiro thought that the Captain was underestimating his worth. But, could it actually be this, that the Captain was aiming for? Or, was he just wanting to see how they would respond? What could be hidden behind such words?

Please, go ask politely, for Mashiro to spar with you. I would like to talk to you both, afterwards. There's this ritual I like to do... He was referring to the instance he welcomed someone into his Squad. It was different to every single one of them, but Mock always found a way to measure their resolve, according to the Shinigami in question and the circumstances surrounding the meeting.

Walking to Alder, until he was about a couple of meters away, the Captain inhaled a large amount of tobacco smoke, and exhaled it slowly as he talked. I have been wanting to spar with you as well. You should've just asked me.

Danko smiled at the Captains request for him to challange Mashiro, he turned to Mashiro "Would you like to spar then, I have to inform you that I don't have my Shikai or know any Demon Arts". Dankou unsheathed Tebikikarafuji and slide his finger on the blade cutting it.

'You have got to be kidding me....' Mashiro thought as he looked at his new Squad mate as he was cutting his own finger on the katana. True Mashiro was not the best fighter in the Squad, but fighting a new comer was like giving the dog a chocolate bar. In other words, it might boost his moral, but it would make him look even weaker than before. Not that Mashiro cared about this, since he was being trained by one of the best teachers in all the Seireitei, Mock-Sensei. In any case, he would obey his Sensei's wishes for this fight to begin.

"Alright.." Mashiro said has he pulled his zanpaku-tou out of his sheath with his right hand, which he had been holding since his entry. Fighting with Shinzou and Amatsu might of gone bad, but he did learn quite a bit from his mistakes, and would not allow himself to fail.... especially to a new comer. " Lets get started." With that Mashiro lifted his blade and brought it down vertically. Mashiro still held his sheath, which he planned on using later. " Be careful, Danko, I wouldn't want to hurt you." Morimoto trickled a little reishi onto the blade as he said this, giving it a little more fire power. Sure he could have just released Jou-shirû, but he wanted to defeat his enemy... without his shikai.

((Sorry if I sound aggresive,Irish... if I can call you that ^_^))

((Yes pleas do callme irish it has been deemed my nickname, and by all means be aggresive, I love a good RP battle))

Danko smiled as the sword came down, he brought his up and held it with two hands to block the strike as he countered by swinging a well-aimed kick for Mashiro's knee attempting to strike it and move it out of socket.

Alder's eyes opened in less than normal time, and his Zanpakuto roared in anticipation. Alder looked up at Mock, bearing a certain fierceness in his eyes. "..And I thought it'd be a while..." He said with a grin. Being able to fight the captain had put him into a state of Cloud Nine, without causing him to lose concentration on the battle he would soon be fighting. He noticed that the captain's blade was not drawn, but stayed where he was. He wouldn't move until the captain drew his blade. "I'd ask that you take out your Zanpakuto. It puts me more....at ease, you could say, to know that my opponent has his blade drawn." He said without reservation. His tone was in no way mocking, but it wasn't polite either. It was ferocious, like the revving of his blade, and anticipating, like the drive of battle burning in his veins.

Mock's face showed no emotion. It was at times like this, that the Captain was focused the most. No anticipation, no excitement, no doubts, no nothing, could be perceived by peering into the Shinigami's eyes. The Captain was assessing Alder's strange demeanor.

Let's move then, not to interfere with Mashiro's and Danko's spar. Mock said, as he began walking until he was about a kilometer away from the other two, in that wasteland.

Turning to Alder, only then did he answered his question. I don't like drawing my blade if it is not needed. But seeing that it will somehow put you at ease, I'll comply to your wish. Saying so, the Captain reached for his wakizashi, kept inside his kusode, and held it in his right hand. Smoking from the pipe, that was hanging from the left corner of his mouth, he silently awaited for his subordinate to make his first move.

Even a movement such as this had put Alder's mind at ease; he had begun to move right when Mock's hand was on the handle of his Zanpakuto. With a short burst of speed Alder quickly closed the distance between Mock and himself, beginning with his intuitive slices. He brought down his rapier At a 45 degree angle towards Mock, aiming from his right shoulder to his left hip. He used the position his blade was now in to perform an upwards slash, going back on the pattern his blade had previously taken. His final slash was more suited for a scythe, at it went in an arc, from Mock's right shoulder, to the left side of his midsection, and then back to his right hip. such a sword movement with the position Mock had to put his blade in to counter the first two, would call for a nearly bone breaking sword movement on his end.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 31, 2009 11:22 pm

Mock was keeping his reiatsu at a low level, so as to not let it interfere in the battle for now. He leaped back once, dodging both consecutive strikes (the downward and upward ones that followed the same path) in one attempt, with rather ease. The second charge performed by Alder, described a semicircle in the air, and it would pierce through his body with an entry point on his right should and exit one on the right hip. Again, the Captain would simply chose to dodge it at first. The circular movement of the blade however, was just what he need to get close to Alder.

In order to describe any rotating motion with your arm, particularly when it's stretched out - as it was in Alder's case, in order to have reached Mock - you have to perform the movement with your shoulder's articulation. Applying pressure to it, as the head of the Humerus rotates on itself in the Glenoid cavity of the Scapula. This meant that applying the right amount of pressure and at the right time, to the one already being applied to the articulation, would injure or even possibly dislocate the shoulder in question.

As such, MockaDash lowered himself to avoid being cut by the first quarter circle described by Alder's rapier, and slammed his dagger against the blade of his opponent's Zanpakutou, forcing him to stretch his right arm further away from his body. The fact that he (Mock) was holding the weapon on his right hand, and that he clashed it against Alder's when it was furthest to his (Mock's) left, granted momentum to the clash. That, added to not only the fact that his blade was denser (unlike the light weighted rapier's, a wakizashi's steel is folded several times on itself, thus having its density increased in the process), but also to the fact that Mock was a master in strength and technique behind his sword blows, would surely allow him to be successful in pushing the rapier back.
If Alder would be unable to avoid this, he would surely have to deal with a shoulder injury. In any case, his attack was disrupted before being completed, and Mock was left with a perfect opening to strike at him.

He took advantage of this opening, by aiming to pierce Alder's stomach, with his wakizashi. Taking full advantage of his body current lowered position, as it granted him a lower gravity center, perfect for a thrust such as this one.

Mashiro grew a smile on his face, seeing how well Danko had made a counter. Though he had seen this type of move manyatime, it was still refreshing to see that not everyone was playing by the rules... oh wait.... there are no rules! 'In that case...' Mashiro thought to himself, as he countered the counter. There was a number of things he could have done, like you a kidou on Danko, or maybe use just his strength, but Mashiro had something else in mind. This type of fight was not like his others, such as a fight of strength or using kidou.... but strategy. Granted he had learned that sometimes you have just got to wing it, it was still in Mashiro's blood to plan ahead,

Mashiro lifted his left leg, which was the one under attack, and swung it under Danko's opposite leg, his right, in order to trip him. This gave him a tactical advantage because he would control the high ground... so to speak. While doing this he rotated his torso into a spin. Once he turned a total of 360*, Mashiro swung at an angle, as if it was nothing more than a push. ' I hope I don't kill him....' Mashiro thought as he waited for his shinigami friend to make his move.

Danko did a handstand backwards, while doing this he aimed a kick at Mashiros head. He got back up and parried the spinning slice, then he sliced at Mashiros chest.

((@Irish: I have high high standards for everyone in this Squad. Not over-the-top ones, but still, above average. As such, one liners is not acceptable.

Sometimes, you just don't have nothing else to say, or you don't want to on purpose. On this same page I've made a short post, but I kept it short, for the aforementioned reasons.

Systematically making short posts, won't get you very far on this Guild, and surely not on this Squad. Your writing style tells me you can do much better. So work for it. Do it.))
