Deep Vermillion Don't let the name fool you. It's actually one of the better werewolf movies made in a long time. Anything's gotta be better than the media I chose to amuse myself with tonight. *sighs and shakes her head* It had so much potential...and such good reviews from people I respected. Have I mentioned how much I SUCK at survival horror games? Any video game that requires dodging and running away from enemies that will automatically give you a GAME OVER when they hit you and refuse to let you run from battles... yeah. I suck at these games. And I offically have placed XenoSaga on my list of games to never, ever buy under any circumstances. gonk Freakin' waste of a free rental pass. I'm so angsty about this right now, it's just not funny. xp

I should have warned you about Xenosaga. My bad.
My game reccomendations, for what they're worth:
1) Anything with SSX in the title: I tend to hate any and all sports games. But this is a treat. The courses are the farthest removed from reality possible, and the stunts...Good lord. There's a slight learning curve as you learn what button does what, but once you know, it's sillyfun.
2) Suikoden III: Neat plot, great, quirky characters. A war's a-brewin, and the two sides begin the buildup. The thing is: You're playing the stories of both sides, -and- two other groups influencing the war. As you play, you ge to recruit for your armies some of the -STRANGEST- collection of characters ever.
3) La Pucelle Tactics: So, you liked Disgaea, hun? This is its predecessor. It's...Well, it's goofy. And speaking of goofy...
4) KINGDOM HEARTS: If you haven't played it, do so before KHII comes out. It's fantastic. Square and disney characters are a lot of fun together. And David Boreanz (Angel) as Squall from FFVIII is -Priceless-. Oh, did I mention Cloud's in it? And with Cloud, Sephiorth?
5) The .hack series, beginning with Infection: I think this will be the one you like. Simple interface, compelling story, and world-within-a-world-within-a-world concept. Max out everything in the game at its end, and -everything- transfers to the next game.
So that's this month's recommendations. Next month I'll be able to tell you what I think of FFX-2. The only other game I can think of that was a -total- waste of time was Mad Maestro.

FFX-2, hehehe. My friend Ben actually gave up on that, and always beats every game he gets starting the first night he buys it... They change clothing a lot xd Funny. And they have really bad looking dance parties.
I recomend Fire Emblem! Something akin to FF Tactics, I think. (Haven't played tactics yet, but sounds the same.) I like it. It is set up in 'battles' where you have about 11 or so of your 40 characters go fight the enemy as you try to save the world from destruction and all that... There are pirates and pegasis knights, blade master, paladins, druids, mages. (And so ends my bad review.)

I personally like the survival horrors, even if I can only play it on easy(which is often). I recently got RE Outbreak, which is alot more better than people say it is. It's alot more for fun than it is for challenge, however. Which reminds me, is anyone else waiting till the 8th for Sh:4? gonk

Romuel I should have warned you about Xenosaga. My bad. *cries* I was so game... I was so ready to go with these characters... and I liked what I saw of the story and the graphics gripped me... And then I have to DODGE?! I died twice in a row because I couldn't move her butt fast enough and that's about the point when I said, "Oh, just ******** it!" and turned the game off. Considering everytime I die, I have to bounce back through those awesome (if insanely long) cinematics... which are cool and awesome and stuff the first time around, but REALLY ANNOYING when you know what's coming up and you just want to get through it... yeah. Yeah. Xenosaga and I don't get along. gonk Romuel My game reccomendations, for what they're worth: 1) Anything with SSX in the title: I tend to hate any and all sports games. But this is a treat. The courses are the farthest removed from reality possible, and the stunts...Good lord. There's a slight learning curve as you learn what button does what, but once you know, it's sillyfun. eek Hmmmm... Er... I have no opinion on the subject. xd Romuel 2) Suikoden III: Neat plot, great, quirky characters. A war's a-brewin, and the two sides begin the buildup. The thing is: You're playing the stories of both sides, -and- two other groups influencing the war. As you play, you ge to recruit for your armies some of the -STRANGEST- collection of characters ever. I almost picked that one up instead of Xenosaga last night and now I wish I had. xd It sounded good on the cover, too... *checks the clock* I suppose I've still got some time to kill tonight. heart Romuel 3) La Pucelle Tactics: So, you liked Disgaea, hun? This is its predecessor. It's...Well, it's goofy. And speaking of goofy... I'd love to try it, if I could find it. xp Which, so far, I've been unable to do. Romuel 4) KINGDOM HEARTS: If you haven't played it, do so before KHII comes out. It's fantastic. Square and disney characters are a lot of fun together. And David Boreanz (Angel) as Squall from FFVIII is -Priceless-. Oh, did I mention Cloud's in it? And with Cloud, Sephiorth? I own it. heart Granted, I got myself stuck in one of the jumping puzzles and now I can't go forward and I can't go back... and I'm almost finished with the damn game... Yeah. gonk I got suckered into looking for each and every damn puppy. And now my saved game is next to worthless. Romuel 5) The .hack series, beginning with Infection: I think this will be the one you like. Simple interface, compelling story, and world-within-a-world-within-a-world concept. Max out everything in the game at its end, and -everything- transfers to the next game. I own the first and can't find the second to buy to save my soul. crying Everyplace in the area has the third and four games, but nobody has the second! I'm tearing my hair out looking for it, too. I suppose I can cave in and rent it, but still... I hate having to renew the rental on games because I never finish them in the rental timespan. Romuel So that's this month's recommendations. Next month I'll be able to tell you what I think of FFX-2. The only other game I can think of that was a -total- waste of time was Mad Maestro. I've played FFX-2 twice...and haven't finished either time. heart But I love it, which is why I've played to the same point in the game twice now. I'm stymied in the 100-levels hall in Bevelle, but it's not integral to the story, of course. I just wanna beat the damn black elemental already!! gonk
