She flinched lightly
"that is how the demon world works it is run by contracts and bindings." she told him, she didn't really have anything to say to the walking thing, but at his speed up, she whent into a trot, holding her own fairly well. with the ice in her veins, she could heal and BE healed much faster than others.

Heath what was told to him. If demons lives like so, then he'd rather be a human than such a demon.
He continued to follow Kari.

they soon came upon a clearing in what apeared to be a bamboo forest
"This way certain mix breads like us are kept in check. counter breeds are forbiden, unless they are bread to be a certain way. they must have contractors in order for them to keep their powers in cheack." she told him, "in the end it really is for our own health and safty."

a large bird lay on the far end of the clearing in the middle of the only exit. it lifted it's head and looked at them.
"Kari...... what have you brought me my dear?" it questioned kindly.

The sounds of several angry people came closer to where Claus had himself hidden. He wondered if his hiding spot would go unnoticed by them or if they had already known that he was there and were coming to take care of him. Fortunately they passed by as if he wasn't there at all, being hidden under a mound of old clothing and broken or worn down furniture. It reeked, so Claus was inclined to cover his nose.
