"That's not it." Kia stated. He had no drive to take any, and he felt fine, except for his foot. "Why is it all... purply? Now I wonder how I heal so fast. If only we could find out!" He was getting frustrated. Too many questions still and no answers. He knew that the council had these answers, but they didn't say anything besides to call him a vampire. "You look tired, you sleep, and I'll sit in the chair." Kia offered again. She was looking even worse than before. He was thankful that he didn't need to take anything from her, he wasn't sure if she really would have made it otherwise.

Kalia shook her head, "Neither of us it at full strength we can't stand to have one of us unconscious..." she said her tactician's mind kicking into gear.

"I think if you don't sleep soon, you will fall unconscious, possibly at a very inopportune time. Get some rest at least. I'll be fine in the chair, and I'll keep watch. If need be, I'll wake you up." Kia had that stubborn look in his eyes, as much as they were still sleep deprived. He was tired, but she seemed exhausted. She needed sleep, and now.

Kia glared back. "Go. Sleep." He stated. He wasn't in the mood right now, and being rudely woken up with pain didn't help him any. "I'm going to wake up with a shower of my own. Maybe the heat will help my foot out." Kia stood up and hobbled to the bathroom. "When I get out, you should be asleep. You need to rest. As long as we stay in a public place, we should be safe, right?" Kia was trying to place her at ease. This was a public hotel. It would be hard for anyone to hide something as big as a fight in here. "Plus, you said we should be safe for the next couple of days. Relax. You said that yourself, so sleep." Without waiting for a response, Kia closed the door. He was filthy, sweaty and hurting. It was going to be a very long shower, with the hot turned up as high as he could stand it.

Kalia folded her arms over her chest and glared at him, a hint of stubborn will just refusing to let her listen.

After a few muffled grunts through the door, it wasn't long before the shower could be heard. Kia sat in the tub as he let the water flow over him. He had the stopper to the tub part turned to the fill position, so he just let his foot soak in the hot water. He was going to take every last ounce of heat he could from this shower, and enjoy it like it was his last one. He didn't even start washing yet, instead just relaxing as the heat entered into his body.

After about half an hour in the shower, Kia finally got the gumption to get out of the tub. He didn't want to, but he was already turning into a prune. He toweled off, and having no choice, put his old clothing back on. They weren't too bad, a little ruffled from sleeping in, but otherwise not bad. Now that he had hit his foot with some heat, it looked like it was doing better. It no longer looked like a balloon attached to his leg, but instead like his foot again. Still was a nasty purple, and hurt when he placed weight onto it, but it was much better. He wondered why that was? All he did was place heat into it.

Kalia's eye slipped shut and her body folded to the side leaving her strewn across the bed as her body over rode her objections and took the sleep it needed.

Kia stepped out of the bathroom, feeling better than he did when he walked in. His limp was all but gone by now, and he was toweling the last of the water out of his hair. He was about to say something on the lines of go to sleep to Kalia, but quickly realized she was already out. A smile slipped across his face as he sat down in the same chair she was using before hand, and now it was his turn to stair out the window. He flickered his gaze between the people outside and Kalia. She always seemed to peaceful when asleep. She always seemed so young and innocent. He knew she was old... for a human at least. How old was he? Probably didn't want to know. As it was, it seemed like forgetting about his past was becoming a better and better idea, but he couldn't let it go so easily. He still had to find out who and what he was. Vampire. That was what they called him. Beyond that he didn't know. Maybe he should test some of the more mondain weaknesses of the vampires of legend. He knew garlic didn't work. He didn't like the taste, but it didn't ward him off, nor kill him. A cross... same deal. Been in church and didn't burn to a crisp. Being deep in thought, he didn't even notice the time, nor the low sounds from the TV. He actually didn't even notice that his own foot wasn't hurting anymore. No more throbbing nor pain by now.

Kalia continued to sleep as the time slipped away, but her body reacted slightly waking her at moonrise out of habit. She sat up wince at how some of her muscles pulled after having slept like she did.

Sometime in the middle of the day, Kia left the apartment. He was as quiet as he could be, using the sounds from the TV to mask his movements as he walked around. Writing a quick note and leaving it on the nightstand by the bed, Kia quietly opened the door and walked out. Being of a hotel nature, he grabbed a map of the area, available for free at the reception counter. Recognizing the features of the area, he quickly realized where he was and how to get to his house. If he ran, he could be there by nightfall. He had something he had to do, and soon from what Kalia said. He went off now, so Kalia could get what rest she could now. Who knows when they could next relax and rest next, so he wasn't about to disturb her now.

Kalia looked around and saw no one, she caught sight of the note and rolled out of bed. Her legs protested strongly since one was still asleep she shook it out as she read adn swore darkly under her breath. She picked up her dress and slid it on before grabbing the rest of her stuff and racing down the stairs. She slipped into an alleyway and quickly changed folding her cell adn wallet in her dress before shifting the entire small bundle secured to her thigh. She slipped out of the back of the city and began running her nose already focused on his scent, she only hoped he wasn't going to fast for her to catch up.

Night had fallen by the time Kia had made it to his own neighborhood. No one was out, which would make this easier. Less people he would have to explain things to. The moon was just starting to rise in the sky, and the sun was at twilight, and slowly disappearing. Kia was about to enter through the front door, when he thought better of it. He shrugged his shoulders at the thought and decided that using the bedroom window would be a better solution. When he made it to the side of the house, he discovered that the window he had gone through just a few days ago was covered by a wood board. Thankfully the other window was still there. Shimming the window open as Yojan and himself had done many times in the past, he was in. The room was surprisingly dark. Usually Yojan was still up at this time, and would normally be in his room. Something didn't seem right? Poking his nose around the room, he noticed that Yojan's school stuff wasn't in the typical corner either. Where was he? He reached for the closed door of his room as well, but stopped when his hand reached the knob. He wasn't sure, but he thought he heard sobbing from the other side, in the living room. What had happened in the few days he was gone? This didn't seem good. He opened the door a crack, and noticed his mother sitting at the table, a paper note in her hands as tears feel from her eyes. "Mom?" Kia whispered softly. Despite the quietness of his voice, it seemed he was yelling to himself. His mother also heard him, as the house was silent. In a flurry of action, she had stood up, and reached for a pan. "Who goes..." In mid sentence, as she turned around, she noticed Kia, standing in the now open door way to his room. "Kia... is that really you?" Her expression softened, and then tears broke from her eyes again. "Thank goodness!" He sighed in relief, dropping the pan to the floor and rushed, greeting Kia with a hug. "Your safe! I was told..." She had buried her face into his chest, as her weeping continued. "Mom? What's going on?" He had forgotten the cover story for his absence, but something else had gone on. "Mom?" He stood there, confused. His mother was a strong lady. The strongest he had ever known. She never cried. Not openly. Ever.
