Feng recalled a bit of that ability and she had to laugh a bit, "Ah.. I see, but you know little boys and girls should go to bed."
However it was hard to get a merchild to bed since they could move anywhere and bed was a relative term really.
"But I don't like bedding," Naida replied, of course bedding was like sleeping since technically she didn't have a bed, but to go to bed and to go to sleep were the same thing.

"Bedding's nice and comfortable," Ecthelion grinned, "but I don't like to go to bed. Sleep is so boring! I like to play!"
Rose laughed. "Well if you don't sleep, you won't have the energy to play, and you'll never grow big and strong like your father," she grinned at him.

Naida looked confused, he said sleep was boring but bed was nice and comfortable, but they were the same.
"Is bedding nice and comfortable?" she inquired of her mother.
Feng giggled, "Yes, people sleep on beds, which I'm told are nice and comfortable."
"What's a bed?"

"Bed is where you sleep," Ecthelion grinned. "With sheets and a blanket and a pillow! It's really comfy!"
"But our bed doesn't have sheets," Ruque blinked, "just a blanket on the bottom and a blanket on the top."
"And we don't have beds," Aras said, tilting her head slightly. "We sleep in caves, with just a blanket ..."

Feng looked thoughtful, "I tend to forget that most Seconds who live back in our birthworld tend to live through nature. Trisha's home there is the same way, well... it's not a cave but it's made out of plants so she would be sleeping on woven mats instead."
"Really is it a tree?" Naida asked.
"More like bamboo sticks with vines keeping it all together."

"Mama and Papa and me live in a cave," Ruque said, "and we have a bed ... but Aras and Kanis and Ruran lived with their trainer in the mountains."
"Sort of," Aras corrected her brother. "We lived near him ... but not with him."

Feng looked thoughtful, being here must be very different then.
"Well at least while you're here you'll be living house, which will be different. You'll be sleeping in beds while you're here."
"And I sleep in a bed?" Naida asked.
"I think you might dry out if you tried sweetie."

Ruque looked at Aras thoughtfully. "Well, Ulani did say they have beds," he said slowly.
"And Daddy said we were going to have a real house here instead of just a cave," Aras added, "and that made Mommy real happy ..."
Kanis looked thoughtful. "It will be strange, not to be on the ground," she murmured.

"A real house," Feng looked between all of the children curiously because she didn't know what ot make of it, "Are all of you moving?"
Well they must be if they were going to be living in a house, but she hadn't been aware of any move.

Ruque nodded, smiling warmly at Feng. "Papa doesn't like the Second world very much," he explained, "so we're going to live here from now on. I think we're going to be staying with Ulani until we have a house for ourselves."
"Dad said he always wanted us to live here," Kanis added, "but now he says he has a real reason to take us here."

Feng looked thoughtful, "Well.... I guess the Second World is quite lonely there aren't a lot of people."
Or so it seemed, or many it was because she and her brother always chose places that were way out of the away. There had been people they had met at one point, but then never again.
"It's fun here!" Naida pipped up, "So you're really lucky!"

"There was our trainers," Aras pointed out, "Corrah and Armus, and there was my friend Rhea ..." She trailed off and suddenly looked close to tears once more.
"Papa didn't like them," Ruque said yet again.
Kanis was quick to step between them. "Ruque, it's not your place to say stuff like that," she reprimanded him, putting her arms around Aras's shoulders and hugging her close. "Aras, don't you worry. Rhea's nice."

Naida swam up to Aras and hugged her, "Don't worry there are a lot of friends here!"
Her eyes lit up.
"Maybe later we can see Aliya, because she's a lot of fun, so is Adonijah even if he gets shy, and maybe he'll find Tao for us! And.. and.." she wondered what else they could do.
Feng though was curious as to what that was about, wondering if maybe she should ask Celebor, or maybe she should just get her brother to, he was so much better at this stuff.

Aras hugged Naida back, giggling through her sniffles. "I just want to see him again," she whispered sadly.
"Maybe we should ask Papa to take us to see these other people," Ruque suggested. "They sound a little fun."
Ecthelion's eyes grew bright. "Yes!" he exclaimed. "We should go see Uncle Adonijah! He likes to play too!"

"But maybe some day," Naida replied, "But now you're my friend so I get to play with you, and you, and you!" she pointed to Ruque happily.
She grinned up at Ecthelion.
"And of course you too!"
