Gaunt nods and smiles. "I will. Thank you, Ian, for the advice and the guidance." He hugs Prince one more time, tightly, and whispers. "We'll still be seeing each other often. I promise." He then straightens and walks through the portal.
Prince sighs softly, and once Gaunt was gone, a single tear rolled down his cheek. "I'll miss you, Dad.." He whispers into the air.

Ian looked up at Prince. His friend was so much bigger than him... he wanted to give him a hug, but he couldn't reach anything higher than halfway up his boot.
Instead, he simply hugged his boot instead. "It's okay, Prince," he grinned up at his friend, trying to be upbeat. "We'll see him again soon! I bet as soon as Mom's better she'll take us for an evening or something!"
He hadn't expected this. He didn't want his friend to be sad ...

Prince nods and kneels down, scooping up little Ian into his arms and holding him against his own chest in more of a proper hug. "Alright.. lets go back to your place." He smiles a bit as he turns around to start walking down the path they came up from the house on.

Ian hugged Prince all the way back to the house, wishing he could help his friend feel better. He knew his mom would be able to ... except she would be in the bath by now. He didn't know how long recovering from a growth would take for her, it was her first growth since he had met her. And he had never grown himself, so he had no idea what it was like.
"Are you gonna stay in my room with me?" he asked as they got back to the house.

Prince nodded slowly as he nudged the door open and had himself a look around. He pursed his lips a little bit and he looked at Ian, then he smiles softly. "We probably need Serenity's permission to stay together, but I don't see why not. I'd like to stay with you."

Ian grinned at Prince. "Maybe when we're brothers, we can share a room, too!" he beamed. "That would be really cool."
He hopped down from Prince's arms and beckoned for his friend to follow him through the house. "This way!" he motioned towards a door just ahead.

Prince nods slowly and smiles. "Mm. I would like that! Though I would hope that you just don't end up getting sick of me. Because we'd be together for school, and sharing a room. We'd be together all the time." Prince smiles as he follows Ian, stepping ahead to open the door Ian motioned to.

Ian blinked up at Prince, leading him down a short corridor but stopping at the first door on the left. "Do you get sick of Gaunt?" he asked curiously, reaching to open the dog-flap that had been installed for him so that he could enter and exit his room freely - though the door did also open like a normal door for everyone else.

Prince shook his head slowly and rubbed the back of his head. "Well. No, not really." He reached out and opened up the door after Ian had gone through, and looked around. Was there even a place for him to sleep? "I don't see him enough. I only see him during the evenings, since he's so busy.."

Ian's room was the size of a regular bedroom, and furnished very much the same: a regular sized bed was in one corner, neatly made and obviously never used; a small bedside table right beside it, with a touch reading lamp; and beyond that was a tall wardrobe with shelves of books. Next to the big bed was a little cradle, and it was in that cradle that Ian slept at night.
Against the other wall was yet another bookcase, as well as a desk which was covered in papers and pencils that had been sharpened down to the size of a sewing needle: Ian's workplace.
All of these places, sized for regular people (except for the cradle, which was originally meant for dolls), would have been impossible for Ian to get to by himself except for the fact that there were little ladders and ropes attached to just about everything to make it easier for him to get around.
"That's like Mom," Ian nodded. "She dresses me in the morning and makes sure I have a big lunch, but then I don't see her til supper time, and now I see her even less 'cos of she's always sending emails to your dad. But just think, someday we can all live together and then we'll all see each other as much as we want!"

Prince nodded and he looked around before he sat on the edge of the large bed. He looked over at Ian and he nods slowly, managing a smile. "Yeah. One day we'll all be a big happy family. It can't come soon enough." He shakes his head and he looks toward the window in the room, if there was one. "We shouldn't have to fight for attention.."

Ian scrambled up onto the bed with Prince and hugged him tightly around the waist, not even noticing the full moon that was shining brightly through the large window next to the bed.
"Well Mom's probably not gonna go to school much longer, if at all," he tried to comfort his friend, "so I bet she'll do a lot more with us. And you said your dad's almost done, and then we can do all sorts of things together, right?"

He nods and he returns Ian's hug, though the little one could probably barely get his arms around his waist. "Yeah. I suppose you're right. Though I don't know how much your mom will let me see my dad knowing that he's busy with school. I guess it kinda depends on what she wants to do.."

Ian snickered. "I bet she'll use you as an excuse to go every chance she gets," he smirked. "I bet we can convince her to take us to the park a lot. Maybe she'll try get Gaunt to do his homework there, she used to always like to do her homework outside, before it was winter."
Nah, he didn't foresee many problems - if any. Of course, he was just a kid. What did he know?Just then the door of the room opened again and Skye poked her head in.
"You two should be going to sleep soon," she told the boys warningly. "Serenity is all right but she wants you to sleep so that she can take you out tomorrow."
She paused. "Do you want something to drink before you go to bed?" she asked.

Prince nods and he smiles softly. "I hope you're right. Though I think he did most of his homework on the computer. He has to write papers and stuff, he says, and his teachers want them emailed or printed." He blinks and looks up when Skye suddenly peeks in and he smiles softly. "M.. May I have a glass of warm milk, please?"
