Mina, noticing the blood, thought, I wonder what would happen if I tried healing someone. It's not as if I'm using healing to escape. She briefly debated trying it, but decided against it. "I wish I could help you with that," she said. "These stupid cells prevent me from using my healing powers."
Hiro sighed. Remembering his poison, he reached for where he had hidden it and was relieved to feel the tin can containing his poison. "I never would have surrendered if it was only my life on the line. I don't care if I die, as long as I kill Annexus. Annexus is a coward if he put's a girls life on the line just to ensure my surrender. Is he that afraid of the Eternal Eyes?" Hiro said.

"Don't worry about it. I just have to refrain from moving otherwise this cord that guy placed around my wrists will tighten." Korsu said annoyed. "This cell does nothing to my powers, except prevent me from breaking out of this stupid cell." he said as he then proved it by standing up and crossing over the the bars. He then raised his leg and kicked the bars, only hard enough to dent another bar, not wanting to show his true strength.

"Hm... What are your powers?" Mina asked. "I can heal and summon beasts, though only for a limited while before fainting, like I did earlier. Kinda pathetic." She flushed slightly, embarrassed from fainting in front of them. Then she realized something. "I'm sorry," she said to Hiro.
"Huh? For what?" Hiro asked, confused.
"For causing you to surrender. I was weak and couldn't keep control of a lion, so I fainted," Mina replied.
"Your life wasn't the only life that was on the line."
"But if I hadn't fainted, Annexus wouldn't have gone after me and Felicity wouldn't have jumped on him and gotten hurt."

"I... see. Okay. If you don't feel comfortable telling what you powers are, then you don't have to. I understand," Mina said, not the least bit disappointed. She never expected him to tell her his powers. She still felt bad about being the reason that they surrendered.
Hiro, thinking that Mina was still upset about the surrender from the sudden drop of subject, said, "There's nothing we can do about the past. All we can do right now is make sure we live."

"He was right, it could be your enemy listening." Annexus had made his way to the prison, bored with waiting for Wade.
Annexus watched as all of the Eternal Eyes turned to glare at him. "I'm going to give one of you the opportunity to fight for your freedom. One of you, will be fighting in a death match with one of my lieutenants. If you win, you will go free, no strings attached. If you lose, you die."

Korsu was instantly on his feet and at the front of his cell, his teeth bared at the king. "Stop toying with us!" he roared at him, angry.

Annexus walked closer to the cell. "I'm not toying with you." He looked Korsu in the eyes, not at all appearing concerned with the eyes, hidden before , being red. "In fact, I'm sorry to say that everything that has happened this far, doesn't even concern you people existing. Just your powers. If it wasn't you, it would be some one else. If it wasn't this year, it would be years down the line." Annexus looked as though the years of his life suddenly caught up with him.
He looked at Korsu, and at his bleeding wrists. "Show me your wrists."

Korsu huffed for a few moments before clenching his fists. He then released them just as quickly as he clenched them, the cord cutting further into his wrists. Still glaring, he lifted his arms and allowed Annexus to see his wrists.

"Grr..." Hiro was fighting to control his anger.
Mina, mad that Annexus had taken advantage of her weakness to force everyone to surrender yet frightened of him, stayed away from the bars of the cell.

Annexus reached out, and the cords loosened back to their original tightness.
He then turned to Hiro. "Don't worry, you'll get your chance to have at me, you and the poison still in your clothes."
He then leaned down to speak with Mina. "I am sorry about taking advantage of you, but I needed the help of one of you, and I needed you all alive. The others would have merely killed you had I not been there."

"Alright then." Korsu said in a steely voice. He placed his hand lightly on the cell bars and said, "So who are you going to pick to fight to the death for your scumbags?"

Hiro nearly gasped. He knows I still have my poison!? But... Why hasn't he tried to take it? He thought. He probably still thinks I'm not much of a threat. That will make killing him easier.
Mina simply glared at him, shrinking away a little more.

"I am not choosing, my lieutenant is. You met her before, the Eternal Eyes on the horse with the swords." Annexus stood and looked at Korsu. "The boy wishes to fight me so desperately, so I will grant his wish. and Wade will be fighting Felicity." He looked at Felicity in her cell. "His sister."

"Well then bring your lieutenant down to choose already! I do not wish to wait while she takes her time picking us. Best to know which one has to fight to the death now than later." Korsu said with a shrug as he leaned against the wall on one shoulder, near the cell front.
