The rumbling from before had dislodged several of the rocks from above. Groaning slightly as what was heading down towards her, she prepared herself for the worst... and hoped for the best. Pulling back one fist, she managed to beat a rock down within two punches. Quite nice if she said so herself.

As soon as the other had been annihalated, one more was on it's way towards her. Well there was more than one, but only one was close enough to hit at the time. This one was a bit smaller, but it built up speed. Luckily for her it was quite easy to deal with. ALmost child's play in her opinion.

With the little one taken care of, there was approxiamtely two more heading her way. Others hit crevices, and other boulders, and were detered away from her and towards other unlucky people. Getting back into her stance, she swiftly dispatched of one, and waited patiently for the other. After the next one, her work would be done. Until she was called again.

Sliding a bit to the side, she let her fists do the rest and watched with her pulse as the boulder crumbled before her. It was always fun to destroy something... somethimes. After she'd gotten that one done, she tuirned around and made her way down the mountian, back into town. If they needed her, they would have to go get her.

Rush had heard about some landslide stuff happening near town, and he had some time to kill, so he'd work on his strength. It was his pitfall in combat, so some training would be good for him before the exams. He walked along the side of the mountain, noticing one guy making a barrier on his way up. There was another person, looking as if they'd just done a load of work themselves. Rush found his own place where he noticed some rocks headed, and stood in his melee stance. A stance rarely visited by himself, but one that was about to get a workout, surely as one rock came near enough for him to take a few strikes.

Shadow rushed to the scene, running past all the warning signs and other labels to warn him of the rock slides in the area. Shadow was running in order to find his little cousin, he wasn't finished in educating him in how awesome he was. Or as Shadow liked to call it, 'the ways of the claw.' Shadow moved around until he finally he heard a rumble sound and looked towards it. A rock was bouncing down the mountain at him, though he didn't react. He just grinned as he placed his hand on the ninja-to on his back. Normally it would be stupid to do this, however Shadow knew the quality of his blade and he was much more for this than punching the boulder with his fist. Seriously, who does that!? ((Alright, my first time doing this method, so let me know if i'm doing it right))

After a sweeping swing from his foot, followed by two punches, the boulder crumbled into a small enough thing to be non threatening. Rush decided to keep going, heading strait for another dangerous rock. He had his eye on it, and moved with another barrage of attacks.

Shadow swung down with a solid swing, cleaving the boulder down the middle. He then followed up with multiple slashes to chop the boulder into nothing more than a fine rocky powder. He laughed to himself cockily, striking a pose as he sheathed his ninja to. However, not even a second later another tumbling sound could be heard. Shadow turned to find himself face to face with another boulder, coming at him full speed. Shadow sighed, grabbing the hilt without actually drawing the blade, and then ran at the rocks.
PLEASE! You're not even worth my time! And with that he jumped to confront the oncoming rock.

With even greater, ease, Rush assaulted the rock, dealing not neccasarily strong attacks, but a quick multitude of them that caused enough stress and pressure to break them. This was going strinkingly smooth. Some ways away, he noticed Shadow, doing his own thing but with a weapon. Weapon training wouldn't be a horrible idea, except Rush didn't carry a weapon on him other than senbon, and that would most likely prove as effective ans his fist, so he proceeded with deft strikes, twisting around another incomming boulder only to hit at it's flank afterward.

Shadow cleaved the boulder into two pieces, then putting one hand down in between the two pieces, began to dance and flail around on his back and hands, much like a break dancer, and once again turned the rocks into nothing more than powder. Shadow landed and sheathed his sword again, noticing Rush he began to take a step towards the boy. It was educating time! Though before Shadow even took another step he heard more boulders begin to come down. Shadow turned and unsheathed the blade, holding it loosely with a casual stance and watched the rock begin to tumble down towards him.
Damn... Looks like i'll need to hold off on the educating. He muttered under his breath as the boulder drew near. Even as it got close he showed no sign of caring or acknowledgment of the boulder.

Rush did in another boulder, grinding a bit of it to dust, and the rest to smaller rocks in shapes that would roll no where. Overall though, it seemed that Rush was more hitting the rocks so they'd stop moving rather than destroying them. Reguardless, Rush moved on, spotting another raging hunk of stone, making it's way. Rush was quick enough to catch up to it, making a diving strike at it, hopefully enough to slow it down, so he could swing around and get it with a few more hits, abruptly ending its joy ride of sorts.

Rush Fell on his face pretty much, sliding in the dirt, regretting go for to flashy a dive and did nothing to stop the boulder. He pushed himself off the ground, a little achey, but determined none the less and ran full speed at the continuing rock. He wouldn't let one get past him. He had to remain cautious, as the earth did move at a decline, and running too fast carelessly would end with him skidding on his face from poor balance. Svoiding loose jagged stone and roots, Rush caught up to the evasive rock and tried to make his presence known to it, taking another set of attacks to its own hide.

Shadow quickly moved his blade up to strike the boulder into the air, however he simply wasn't quick enough. The boulder slammed into him, sending him flying through the air. He bounced like a rag doll on the ground and came to a stop. He slowly pushed himself back up, spitting some blood out of his mouth and growling as he looked at the boulder, still rolling though with less momentum. Shadow questioned why he was spending his time destroying stupid boulders on mt. what-cha-m-call it, even though he already knew the answer. This time he didn't take an aloof stance, but instead dropped to one knee with his sword at the waist. This time he wasn't going to let the boulder overcome him. As it bounced closer and closer Shadow swung with one fatal swipe.

The boulder split enough to lose it's speed and pretty much stop. Rush panted a bit, as that wasnt the easiest of chases. He caught his breath and made his way over to another nearby one, careening through small trees, maybe woodland mammals, who knew. Morbid thoughts aside, Rush took stance directly in front of it. He hald out his arms and faced them in front. He prepared to make a head on strike, hoping not to break his own knuckles. It neared and Rush reared his own elbow back, gritting his teeth a little. As it was close enough, Rush swung forward full force, seeing how well this would work.

Shadow sliced the rock clean in two, and then followed up with a series of other flashy swipes in order to turn it into nothing more then rubble. Shadow looked to see the rocks not even beginning to stop and he sighed. The reason he was blocking the rocks from falling was simply because of the villagers. He knew he was quick enough to avoid everything that came at him, however he didn't want to see these kind peoples homes and lives crushed. Shadow couldn't let that happen to anyone, not even a bunch of random strangers. Shadow began to charge the next rock that was tumbling towards him. Flashes of what would happen if the rocks made it past went through his head. Destroyed houses, dead villagers. He only managed to shout
I WONT LET YOU, YOU b*****d!
