Dante got up and went to his cellar. He took a bottle of wine and opened it. He drank from the bottle and sat in the corner of his cellar. *You are soooo stupid* he thought.

Amaranta took a swig of her cider and coughed it down. she looked up at the bartender. "you-"
he put his hands in the air. "you look like you need it." he said.
Amaranta nodded. "Thanks, just warn me the next time." she took a smaller drink and this time the burn was welcome.

Dante downed the rest of his wine. *You screw everything up......you know that to be a fact my man.* "Shut up!" he yelled as he threw the empty wine bottle across the cellar. He put his head in his hands. "Just shut the hell up.....for two seconds...."

Amaranta stood up quickly and stumbled off of her stool. the man standing next to her caught her and steadied her until she found her balance. "have a little too much in your cider?" he asked good-naturedly.
"No, i just stood up too quickly." Amaranta replied, escaping his grip. she paid her tab and walked out. *I feel like i should apologize.* she thought.

Amaranta stopped infront of Dante's door. *go in, not go in. go in, not go in....* she repeated in her head. *ahh!! whatever.* she walked up to the door and knocked loudly on it.

Dante stood up. "What the hell is that pounding?" He went up the stairs. "Can't a guy wish for death in peace?" he said as he opened the door. His heart felt like it stopped and he just stared at her in awe.

"You were going to end it?" she asked him incredulously. she cast her eyes down to the ground and searched for words. her hands let go of him and fell to her sides. "I can't believe it." *I feel so bad! you're such an idiot! how could you have pushed him to that edge?* Amaranta stumbled back a few steps with tears in her eyes.
