"Sorry? Only for hurting you." Kale replied, rubbing her back. He chuckled then. "I bet Talon's happy that I'm preocuppied tonight, now he can read in peace."
One of the many vampires that still lingered in the room spoke up at what Katie said. "You may have secrets, human. But Talon and Kale find them out easily if they really want to." He left with the others as they slowly dispersed.
Talon went to his room, briefly glancing at John and Katie on his way down the hall, and shut the door behind him. "Humans are a stiff in the neck.... litterally." He stated to himself as he sat on his bed.

Kaida smiled and enjoyed his hand on her back. "It wasn't that bad." She lied. 'Man...I wonder if there are other secrets to being a vampire....' She thought. 'I'm so nervous, I'll eventually have to hunt...what am I supposed to do?' Thoughts like this kept running through her mind and she was against Kale's chest.

Kale, forgetting that he had to make it seem he wasn't reading her thoughts, spoke up. "I will help you through the hunting when the time comes. For now though, I think you should feed from me when I come back from hunting."

"How did you know I was worrying about hunting?" Kaida asked him confused. "And you're leaving me?" She asked.

Kale chuckled. "I'm not leaving now, though it would probably be a good idea. I only gained a part of the blood I need back from when I turned you and lost more. I need to hunt soon after what Talon did to me. That's probably another reason why I couldn't stop myself from biting you. I didn't want to kill you so I turned you and made you mine." trying to avoid her question, he answered the one of him leaving.

Kaida chuckled. "Yours..." She said with a smile. 'That's all I wanted...' She thought happily. She continued to lean into him, but she lifted her head to stare at his gorgeous face.

Kaida closed her eyes and kissed him, but strangely she wanted more. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned into the kiss.

Kale let an arm circle her waist and the other hand on the back of her neck. He let his thoughts enter her mind unconciously. 'You are mine and I will prove it to the world if I must.'

Kaida slowly stopped the kiss, but let their faces still touch. Opening her eyes to see his, she asked "How....wha...." She wondered more thoroughly in her mind, 'How did you talk when your lips were on mine? And how would you prove it' But that last thought just slipped in there.

Kale smirked at her curiousity. "It is a gift mates share with each other." He told her finally. "That is one way to prove that we are mates now. I took your blood and turned you, you completed the cycle by taking my blood. It's basically a blood contract, I ask to make you mine by taking your blood in exchange for turning you, you accepted by taking my blood when you first awoke. If you did not take my blood first before any hunting, you would not be my mate this easily. I don't know what to do if my mate were to already be a vampire." He kissed her briefly again, before leaning to whisper in her ear. "As for how I would prove it," he paused to make her curious a bit adding effect to his next statement. "I would take you on the spot no matter where we are." he finished in the same whisper.

'Blood contract....mate....bite.....' All these things kept running throught her head. When he said how he would prove it....she was still curious and didn't get it. 'Wait what does that mean!? I don't want to sound dumb...I won't ask....wait...can't he hear me?' She wondered.

Kale kissed her again softly at first. He figured she gets her thoughts organized when he kisses her.

Her thoughts were interrupted by his kiss. 'I am his mate because we share blood.' She came to the conclusion. She was still shaky on the proof, but let it slide, even in her thoughts...mostly.
