Ade nodded. "Yes. I have the foundation and basement built. I've stopped there though because I cannot decide how many levels to build. I think at least two, perhaps three more. What do you think?"

"Hmm.. I'd say three... more room is always better than not enough.."

Ade nodded and smiled. "I see. But if we have all that room, we'll have to have something to fill it with."

Ade grinned. "I hope so. Have you thought about how you would like to decorate? I think there will be a kitchen, lavatory, ballroom, parlor, maybe a bedroom or two on the first floor. I was thinking the second would have a music room, study, nursery, and of course more bedrooms. The third floor would be our suite, with a large bath and bedroom, and a balcony. Do you require anything else?"

She blinked a little thrown off by the word 'nursery' but she supposed it was best to plan ahead. "That sounds good to me.."

Ade caught her uneasiness. "I only mean to have a room that can be used as one. It is not meant to assume that we will have any."

She smiled and shook her head "it just threw my off a little... but it makes sense to have a room that could become a nursery.."

She frowned "You don't have to do that. I don't care if you mention it.. just don't try to make any before I'm ready.."

Ade shook his head. "I will behave, though you should know that our women rarely concieve. The children who are concieved do not usually survive the pregnancy, and of the ones that are born, most do not survive their fist year of life. So you see, it is very unlikely that we will ever have children anyway."

"Their mother's body attacks them, rejecting them. When they are born, their mother cannot feed them like they she should. We are forced to find a mixture that will sustain the child. It is a delicate balance that is rarely achieved."

Ade nodded. "Yes, like mortal babies, they require milk to survive. Mothers can no longer supply the milk their children need. The babies reject normal Carpathian blood, so a mixture of animal blood is usually concocted to feed to them, as well as a mixture of proteins and nutrients that they would recive from their mother's milk."
