Kai kept her gaze away from the man who told her that he had helped. The Robin she knew, knew that she didn't like doctors. It couldn't be helped.
"I don't trust doctors."
She let slip out. She still kept looking away.
"And I wouldn't have needed help if the others would let me and Robin handle him..."
She pulled herself back on the bed so she could lean against the back of the bed. Kai looked down at her hand... she pulled the IV's out of her arms carefully.
"I can heal on my own, thankyou. Doctors only complicate things."

The old doctor shook his head, "You may regenerate, but this slug..," he holds up the bullet slug, "Would have been lodged in you for who knows how long."

"I have Intangibiliy, I could have reached into myself after I healed to remove it."
She said quietly. The last thing she wanted to do was start an arguement. The only person's she trusted to heal her was the family she adopted in Gotham, the Teen Titans and Six.
"I can handle myself... believe me."

Nightshade took a few steps closer, "Actually, that bullet had pierced an artery. If you had removed it like you say, you would have passed out from an immediate drop in blood pressure."

Kai reached over and touched her broken wrist.
"I've had worse... you may know what would happen for a normal person but I would have been able to deal with it myself somehow."

Des shrugged, "So have I. I've had to stitch myself enough times, but I've also seen way too many kids die from bullet wounds and worse. I've seen more than you realize, Red."

Professor Xavier came into the room, a smaile on his face as he looked to the new gifted child in the midst. ''Hello, miss. Please do calm down, your thoughts are quite loud right now.''
Xavier spoke softly and calmly to her. ''It is a pleasure for you to join us this evening. Are you feeling any beter?''

She said defensively and questioningly towards the man who came in. She suddenly thought "Raven used to be able to do the same thing. Thoughts are personal he can't... My memories, my thoughts, my secrets!"
"I'm fine..."
She whispered looking away again. "Why am I here? For what purpose have I fallen into this world?" She though to herself quietly. She felt as though she was going to cry, there were so many new people, and she was so confused. She didn't know what to do other that to stick with Robin.

She asked. She didn't like the idea of being called a patient, it was almost demeaning.

Xavier sighed softly, he was getting a headach from all the loud thoughts but he didn't let his agravasion show.
''I am sorry to seem intrusive, Miss Cardinal, but when one thinks loudly enough, it's hard not to be overheard. Like someone talking too loudly in a cafe', anyone close will hear them.'' It was hard to explain sometimes. ''But, I assure you that I will not actually peak into your mind without your permission.''
He looked over at Robin. ''So more guests?'' He questioned to Nightshade. ''And where is Kesshou?''
