Reaper let his grin slip. "I'm serious." he replied. There WAS an alarm going off, but in this small room, the only way he really knew that was because of the other duplicate he still had in the hallway. That copy had slipped into a shadow and dissapeared as the guards swarmed around the empty cell. There would be a lockdown...guards swarming all around...
"....if you don't believe me, I can let you see for yourself." he continued, his grin growing just a bit. "If you do that, then you might want to do something about those ribs first, though."

Her small face clouded with worry, and she bit her lip. "I... I don't..." She didn't know WHAT to do about her ribs, and she was worried about Kick a**, and she was pissed that she was worried about Kick a**, and who WAS this guy, and how the hell had she ended up in an asylum, and...? "Can I have the pain meds or not?" she asked flatly, "And no Tylenol. Children Safe heavy duty pain management, please."

Reaper looked at the bottle in his hands, then back up at the shelf. Everything he seen was probably too strong for her. At least they were if she was going to run around and not try and rest. Needles, extra strength, a small vile of....what the hell was 'Code Red'? Ah, wait...that bottle looked all right. Not near as potent as the others, but it was strong enough to ease up broken bones.
He could fix her up just by touching her side. Manipulate her skeletal structure to move back into place, then rapidly heal itself. Same thing with any internal bleeding she may have had. That might surprise her...but if she thought she was in Arkham, then actual super-powers might not be too much of a shock for her.
.... or, he could just say that there wasn't anything child friendly in here and let her go out with the broken ribs. See how long it was before she passed out or became overwhelmed.
.... or give her something strong and say it was safe. Then see how long it took before it worked it's magic on her.
He looked from the shelf and back down at her. Or....he could forget about all of that and just....do as he liked. This room was such a bland color after all. Red would really brighten it up.
Then he realized what he was thinking, and forced himself to snap out of it. Be good....this was a kid after all....
"There's one bottle up here that should be alright for you. But it'll just take care of the pain for a while. I know something that will take care of your ribs completely, but I'm not sure how you'll take to it."

She glared up at him with suspicious eyes. "... You can fix my ribs?" she asked, skepticism dripping from every syllable, "Just like that? No offense, but I doubt it. And even if you could, how am I supposed to know that you won't shank me while my guard is down? I'm not an idiot." She paused. "Just toss me the bottle. I want to see the label."

Reaper shrugged and tossed the bottle down to her. He'd said he wasn't sure how she would take to it, why push her? Plus, he'd also thought about just letting her ribs go. Really, he should just let her go and do what he'd set out to do.
.....meh. This could be a bit more entertaining.

She carefully read the label, dutifully measured out four, and took two. As she did so, she secretly dripped some unknown substance onto the locked door handle behind her. It hissed softly. "Thanks," she said with a rather grim little smile, and then calmly turned, kicked the melted handle right off the door, and pushed it open. "Bye." She slipped through, shut it behind her...
And walked directly into an orderly. "HEY!" he yelled, "Wh-" Her foot connected solidly with his windpipe. By the time he hit the ground, choking and clutching his throat, she was off running. Great.

Reaper grinned as the door slammed in front of him. He didn't chase after her, he didn't really even move. He didn't have to. The only thing he needed to do, was decide if he wanted to follow the girl and mess with her a bit more, or....do as he set out to do.
......
Ah, screw it. There was nothing for him here anyway. And there were plenty of others out and about. With the grin in place, he disappeared into not a shadow, but a large round black hole that appeared in front of him.

Arkham Morgue....
A thin black cat trotted through the large room, a smile plastered across his face. His amber eyes scanned the 'cabinets' carefully, until he finally found the one he was looking for. There, he sat down and stared up at it. His grin expanded into a large, piercing white smile that...compared to his usual mischievous grin...would give anyone the creeps.
"One simple plot idea that's too good to let go..." he purred to himself. His tail beat at the ground behind him, and soon eight more tails slid out from the base of it. Each seeming to have it's own...power. One was on fire. One looked like it had been soaked. One sparked with electricity. And the rest didn't seem to be quite so obvious in ability. "Add one reality warping black cat...." he continued, one of his tails floating up above the others. "And what do we geeeeeeet?"
A moment passed, and suddenly there was a rumble from the wall that stored the dead. The ruble turned into the sound of twisting metal...and soon the wall began to break apart. Bodies fell out of them, meal flung across the room, and other metal....hissed angrily and swiped at the air around it.
"One heck of a plot twist..." the cat purred.

After several minutes...Otto Octavious stood in the center of the now half destroyed morgue. His metal arms still snapping savagely at the air around him. If that wasn't enough to inform someone that the Doctor was angry...then the murderous scowl that seemed to swallow his face definitely did. His body felt stiff...his bones more so for some reason. He remembered being slammed against the wall, so the stiffness was probably from numerous fractures he'd endured. At least he thought at first that he had endured. Then he found the large surgical cut going down his chest, and realized exactly where he was. Memory regained itself then and he knew that he had been killed. KILLED. The great Otto Octavious...brutally beaten into a pulp by a mutant lizard. "Someone will pay..." he hissed to himself. He was aware that he had been dead, and now he was alive. He shouldn't be though...and he didn't know why. Right now he really didn't care why. He just wanted to get out of this place and squeeze the life out of the one responsible for his demise. He started to walk out of the room, when he notice a note lying on the table. The mood he was in, he wouldn't have given the thing a second thought. But...it was addressed to him. Still scowling, he picked it up with a metal arm to inspect it. The neat and professional looking hand righting was sickeningly contrast to the paper it was on. A boarder of black paw prints and a smiling cat in the lower corner that was obviously intended to amuse children. ================
Dear Doctor Otto Octavious,
By now I'm sure you are awake and very much alive. There is no need for thanks as I'm sure you would not give it anyway. What I would like in return, good doctor, is for you to come to the location listed below. Most questions may be explained there. Not all...but most. I promise you though, you will find at least something...or someone of interest to you.
Best of wishes, and of luck, C2
==================== Otto stared at the letter for a beat after reading it over. He carefully re-read it once more, then hissed something under his breath as he ripped all but the area with the location to shreds. He crumpled the location up in one of his flesh hands, then started towards the door. He might as well see what it is. He certainly wanted answers. And if this was any kind of trick, heaven help the ones who dare defy him. Just as he was about to walk through the door, one of the building's personnel walked in. The poor man stopped dead in his tracks when he seen Otto, and his eyes widened in horror. "Oh my g-ho no no no. You-you were DEAD! W-we just..." the man started to say, but was too stunned to be coherent about anything after that. Octavious looked at the man a moment, no emotion other than the scowl that was still etched on his face. Ah, yes...he needed new clothes, didn't he? //// And for anyone that notices...yes, I totally ripped the nickname off. xp It's so much cooler sounding for an alias than C.C. Don't worry, he does not use such a nickname in the comic though. ////

Just then, an exhausted-looking young girl burst through the doors. The look on her face clearly said that she expected to find a quiet, mostly deserted morgue. Her eyes flicked to the orderly, then to the good doctor. That was... was... "Doctor Octavious?" she breathed.

Octavious's arms, at least two of them, were reared back and ready to kill the other man quickly and quietly when the girl had burst through the doors. Immediately, they snapped around and drew their attention onto her. Otto's initial reaction was to kill her...but that changed the second it clicked that it was a child he was now looking at. A thick brow arched a bit when the girl addressed him. ....Yes." Otto replied, two of his arms lowering into a slightly less aggressive pose. The other two, however, remained locked on the other man and ready to strike.

"... Wow," she mumbled, still staring. The sound of her own voice seemed to snap her out of it a little, though. Her small face clouded over with intense thought; the next moment, she spoke up. "Mr. Doctor, sir," she began hesitantly, every inch the confused and vaguely frightened innocent, "What are you going to do to that man?"

Octavious glanced over at the man a brief moment. He was going to kill him. Plain and simple as that. He needed to leave here decent, and he didn't need anyone running off and alarming the entire building about him. No need to explain himself or sugarcoat an explanation. He glanced down at the girl once more. Paused a moment. Then glanced back at the man. The two arms that looked as though they were ready to shoot straight through the poor guy suddenly relaxed and moved so that they were in front of him. Each one snapping at the air in front of him expectantly. "I need a change of decent clothes. And I need to have it done as quietly as possible." Octavious began, his words casual, but unmistakably threatening towards the man. "I certainly can't leave in this condition, now can I?"
