Erudemasa nodded and snapped his fingers. A portal, pitch black and seeming to absorb the light as it grew, appeared next to Sundel. "Thanks a lot, Sunny! That'll really help me out. That little gateway next to you'll drop you off anywhere in the Plane that we just came from that you want." Erudemasa motioned and the spear flew back to him. The odd time running through this particular demi-plane allowed him such telekinetic movement whereas he may not have been capable of it in another place. He seated himself once again at the table, which had fallen over at Sundel's slice. Picking up the pot of tee (miraculously still full), he poured a cup for himself and seemed content to stare into the nothing around him.

*Sundel levitated over to the portal, but before going through it, she decided to do something she had wanted to try for some time now. Acting as if she was going to enter the portal, she instead quickly turned and attempted to combust Erudemasa's brain, her eyes glowing as red as her hair. She simply wanted to see his current body be replaced with another. If this ability he spoke of was a lie, then she would kill him. If not, she'd have her bit of fun anyway. It was a win-win situation*

Eru didn't even get a chance to react before his head decided to do its best impersonation of a watermelon when hit by a sledgehammer. His body slumped over in the chair, quite dead. There was an awkward pause for about three seconds before another Erudemasa walked out of seemingly nowhere, looked over at the last Eru's body and appeared to be contemplating the situation. After a few moments, the new Erudemasa stepped over to the old body and lifted it by the arm and unceremoniously tossed it into the ocean of black liquid around the island.

*In another time*

"I swear to you, this is our only course of action!" The noble Knights gathered around the table, listening to the plan of their newly appointed leader. "We must depose the king! He has grown far too corrupt! He has ordered his army of brigands to terrorize the smallfolk, raping and killing as they like as long as he receives his fair share of the plunder! Such behavior can no longer be tolerated!"

"That may be, my lord, but he is the king." A sneering voice from the middle of the assembly broke in. The crowd parted to reveal a knight in black armor, adorned with decorations resembling the heads of fearsome beasts. "The king is appointed by divine rule. It is not our place to question the gods. Surely, if they approved of this action, they would have done it themselves."

"Ah, but what if we are that action? What if the gods chose us to end this tyrant's rule? We must act upon the will of the gods as we are able to and now that means we must remove our lord from his throne!" The charismatic leader proclaimed to the loud cheers of many other knights.

"Surely," the black armored knight broke in once again, a slimy grin upon his face. "Surely, if what you say is true, then we would have been given some sign that this is their will. Tell me, brave sir knight, have you received such a sign?"

It was as this point in the debate when the headless body of what seemed to be a thirteen year old boy appeared from nowhere and fell upon the knight in black armor, knocking him to the floor. The assembly was quiet for a moment before loud screams for justice against their king resounded through the night.

*Meanwhile...*

"Have a nice trip, Sunny. I'll see you sometime in the future! Or the past. Or the sideways. Or not at all. Anyways, the point I'm trying to make is you can go now." The new Eru had taken the previous one's seat, without even bothering to wipe the blood of his former "life" off the seat. He took the tea and began to sip once again.

Most of his time was spent lurking around, and killing off things that annoyed him.

Kaiden was adolescent. A teenager. Facial hair would make him itch, feelings deep inside that made him mad with anger, and unknown feelings.

Maturity was an annoyance. Knowledge of the fact was common to him, as his days with a fellow friend would make up for what was going wrong with him. Taking place in a small clearing, around the rock face of a massive boulder, Kaiden would have set up camp. Alike his sister, he lived in the wild, away from civilization. His face had grown stronger, less alike a child's. Daily chores would be to keep himself clean, as hygiene was a new thing to him.

Cleaning himself every morning, due to issuing that would occur during the night.

Kaiden would talk to few people. Passerby's that would take a night to tell him tales, feed him food, and teach him things. Words new to him, alike 'screwing, whores, and colorful swear words' were common in conversation. Old men would be most of the visitors, they would supply skins, and cloth in the exchange for items he would hunt in order to find for them. Being alone was better. Much better for Kaiden, as he feared towns for thier lack of caring. In the wild, he could be anything he wanted, he can be his own person, and not be burdened by opinion.

Kaiden had taken the time, moving from camp to camp, keeping one place in particular for himself. Boulder it was, chiseled out by hammering away the rock, till a decent hole was made. This is where he would dig out the ground underneath, into a tunnel, and into the deep ground. Much time was taken to make this house. This basement of the earth.

Two main rooms were made underneath, as the knowledge he had consumed from a carpenter he encounted previous nights. Seeds were traded to him in exchange for fair skins, and furs, to grow a thick brush across the face of the boulder. Nothing could be seen through it, and a wooden door was crafted well enough to keep water from flooding in. As you would enter his den, carefully placed flat stone would make a staircase, downward, toward the main room. Branching off from that room, would be his bed, and a place he had fixed a water barrel, a cleaning bowl, and cloths to wash himself with. Trading passing merchants on the road would supply him with a sharp razor, a mirror, and even the tools that would help him carve his new home inside the den.

Cooking would be an issue for him. Most of his goods were kept inside, but ventilation was hard enough. He had begun to carve out a wide enough channel reaching the surface of the earth, but figured smoke would let predators, and thieves inside. Outside, around thirty or so feet, there would be a campfire set up. he would cook his meal, eat, and then ajourn for rest until morning.

Hunting would take him across miles to other camps, specifically for the rodents, and animals it would carry. From Squirrel to bear meat he would collect pelts, and savory steaks. Rarely traveling into town, he would barter for goods he couldn't get from the passing merchants. Most of which would not sell him the things he needed, because of the sheer fact fo his age. Saving his weak beard for visits like this would get him knives, and weapons only a mature adult would be able to get.

Tonight, Kaiden had set up a place of rest in his den, sharpening knives, and putting away his newly washed linens. Candle light would keep him from bumping into hard objects, at times he would still hit his head on the low ceiling. The day had consisted of a famous catch of a cart that was previously belonging to a wealthy couple.

With real money now in a generous pouch, Kaiden would stuff the rest away for safe keeping. The new clothing he had purchased would fit him only until he had to force himself to rip them away at the seams to fit his ever so growing skeleton. He was maturing fast, just alike he had remembered a stranger telling him.

"I met one man alike you one day. His height was great, his eyes a piercing copper. He once told me that he was one of a small collection of people, known to the world as Rigidl. He left after briefly explaining the way his people aged. Feathers would mark his path, until they mysteriously dissapeared. I thought I was dreaming."

Kaiden had put out the candles along the main wall, and lit the lantern next to his bed. A low light would keep him company as he slept. Dreaming of things that he was constantly reminded of. The whores that would walk the streets of towns, and offer thier services to him, and passing men, and women.

Oh how wonderful it would be to spend a night in a warm room, inside a place that wouldn't care what he was, or the things they might find about him to be strange. Especially the obvious tail he was growing out of his lower back.

Another morning, another adventure.

SSDD...

Kaiden would aken to get up, and begin his daily washing.

A quich look into his looking glass, to see if he was fit enough to go into town. Perfect. Just enough stubble.

Kaiden would comb his long, and brunette hair back into a loose ponytail, and pull on his clothing.

In no time, he would be munching upon some dried beef, and walking out onto the road. Happy as a clam.

Within the continuum of space and time, most worlds flowed together as a great river, each world completely indistinguishable from those around it. With each one branching infinitely at all times, the various universes blurred together to the point where picking a single one became nearly impossible without the aid of certain factors. However, even as this riven encompassed all worlds and all dimensions, there lay some places in Nowhere, that stood outside of time. It was in one of these that Erudemasa had been speaking to Sundel and it was again in one of these where the young avatar now rested.

Erudemasa had just come from the meeting with Sundel, spear held in hand. He emerged from thin air, dropping lightly to the ground. This place, though somewhat similar to where he had been speaking with Sundel, had several different features. While the great river of time flowed on all sides, as always, there were several points in this outcropping of Nowhere that held pools of the black Timestuff. These were worlds that had become stagnant, unable to advance or change. They could only hope for a great movement in time to sweep the river up, bringing them back into the flow of history. There was also a short silver pillar in the middle of the area. Erudemasa paced around it for a moment before piercing the top with the soul-stealing spear he carried. It stuck into the block, standing straight up. Erudemasa walked a distance away and gestured towards the flowing waters. From the river, a golden chair, seemingly too frail to support even the weight of a child like Erudemasa, rose and flew towards him. He set the chair down on a flat section before addressing seemingly nobody.

"She's gone, as is most of your ancestor. You can come out of hiding now, Draeken."

Silence would greet Erudemesa for a few moments before finally a rather see-through Draeken appeared in standing in front of the spear. Looking around he sighed and shrugged before looking to Eru. "You always hang out in dreary places like this? Nevermind. I will miss the old man, however. Just how much of him is left?" He began to pace around the small area, really, with little interest.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2007 8:28 pm

"Most of his personality is gone, though there may be a few fragments that are still attached to you. Honestly, I'm not an expert on souls. The one to ask about that is the one who cut your ancestor out, and is likely to do the same to you if she figured out the little trick I played. Other than that, almost all of the raw energy associated with him was left in the spear, though as something separate from you. You ought to have whatever power you yourself had during life left. Well, that is, if you were alive and free of your bindings. As it is now, you're little more than a spirit released in this area of Nowhere."

"Heh. I see." Draeken stopped pacing and pulled his legs up to sit crosslegged in the air. "So...Are you going to end up using all of the old man's power for whatever it is you are doing or will there be some left that I can have? Sorta for old time's sake...And sorta so I don't get my a** handed to me all the time. As is, I'm pretty sure even my wife is stronger than myself without the old man's power that I used to have."
PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2007 9:04 pm

"I'll be using most of it. How much you get depends on what you say to my plan, because you're actually part of it. I'll be using your ancestor's power in a little pet project I have going on. I'll be using it to exert a certain influence over an area. You're going to be put in with the power source for this, at least initially. You'll be tied to the area as an incorporeal spirit, but if a suitable vessel is found, you might be returned to a physical body again. Now, keep in mind ahead of time, you won't be able to exercise any undue power over the area, even while stuck in its source. If you get returned to a body, I can't say how much power of your ancestor's will go with you, but you'll still be tied to the area in some ways, as the majority of his power will be stuck there."

Sighing heavily and shrugging Draeken decided quickly that there really was no other option. "I'll play along. It's really a lose lose situation though from what I'm getting from it. Nothing to help that, though, I guess. So how and when do we start?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 18, 2007 11:35 pm

Kaiden had come back to his home, a leather bag slung over one shoulder. It's contents would include bread, a bladder of milk, and fresh meat he hat cut from a young deer earlier in the day. The rest had gone off to vendors in town.

With more money in a pouch, he would eventually stash this away with the rest. Setting the bag down near the campfire, Kaiden would begin to start his cooking for the night.

Erudemasa smiled. "Excellent. Once I have everything prepared, I will set everything up. Once it begins, I will let you draft a letter to your family, letting them know the situation. For the moment though, you'll need to return to the spear, since we need to go to get the rest of the ingredients."

Erudemasa pulled the spear from where he stuck it into the metal, which would end the projection of Draeken. Turning, he tossed the spear over his head, where it hovered silently. He gestured forward and a small crystal flask appeared from nowhere. Six of the stagnant pools of time began to boil, sending clouds of steam far greater than the volume of the pools would allow into the air. Each of these produced a tendril of liquid that flowed into the bottle. By the time the stream fell away, each of these pools were now dry. Erudemasa produced a cap and sealed the bottle tightly.

Turning, he gestured into the air, producing a portal to parts unknown. The spear fell from the air, latching onto a harness worn over his shoulder before Erudemasa walked through the portal, humming to himself.

Draeken was about to reply with something sarcastic or even witty, but the spear was removed before he could say anything other than, "Well...s**t." And that was that. The rest was up to Erudemesa.

After feasting upon his meal, Kaiden would pack up the rest of the cooked meat, and store it away for snacking later.

It seemed noone was on the road tonight. Time to head in, and wash before bed.
