Quin was left standing there with his horse, who snorted into Quin's face. He had no idea what everyone was doing, as he was a city boy himself and had never left the edge of the town before. So instead of doing anything, he just stood there and watched as the others set to work.

Darek looked off for a moment and then answered her. "I know. If it were not for the old man we would all be hunted right now. The old dragoon left me with maps and some sort of notes. When I read though a few of them I saw that they were recordings of his movements after he resigned his dragoon position. It tells of a time when he was in the village that we were sent to. He was following a strong pull from the dragoon orbs that he had collected. In his search he bumped into a young boy that gave off a slight magical projection. It was how the dragoons found the new dragoons to be. The problem was that others with any type of magic powers could feel it to but, few knew how to recognize it. The pull he had felt though was not from the boy but from a house not far off. He followed and found a woman and a man dead and one child on the verge of death. Some one had felt her destined powers and did not want her to gain them or so his notes say. He took her and cared for her with the last of the potions that the dragoon Shara was known for making. He found that the lighting orb was gone but, felt that it was in the right place. So he felt a powerful serge coming from a town not far off. He could feel that five other dragoon destines were in that village. So he took the recovering girl with him and put up magic borders that would conceal the order of the next dragoons, us. The girl I believe is you. It fits all that I know of you. The boy I am guessing is this Quin fellow. If he had not put up the borders then we all would have been found and likely killed." Darek looked away from her to the others.

Katara finished, and stood, rubbing her hands against her legs. She sighed, looking towards Derak and Enzeru. Then she turned to look at Quin, Kiana, Korrin, and Gill. She sighed, smiling slightly, as she walked over. "Quin, you can just let him go, he's not going to run away. I'm going for a walk for awhile. I'll be back later." She told them, before she grabbed her bag from the ground and started towards where they were going.

Quin hesitantly let go of the reigns, "Oh. Shouldn't we tie them to a bush or something?" He really was a city boy, but he had seen plenty of people tie their horses to hitching posts so they wouldn't run away on them.
After dropping the reigns he moved closer to the camp. He was a thief by training and nature, not a ranger or forester. He didn't have the slightest clue on how to set up a camp. He did know how to start a fire, but only with flint and steel.

Sitting down next to Korrin, quin responds, "Never left the town before. I'm more of a, how shall I put it, a city person?" Though he was sure that if he needed to, he could disappear in these woods as easily as back in the town. "There wasn't anything outside of the town for me to do, so I had no reason to leave."

((As some of you know, I am in the US NAVY. And because of the upcoming holidays I will be going home for two weeks. The RP will be put on hold on the 18th and may be back up a day or two after christmas. I wish you all a very happy holiday, no mater what you might celibrate, and a happy newyear.))

"It's not easy to leave everything you've ever known in order to embark on a journy to the unknown." She had finished putting the ointment on Korrin"s injuries and was putting her things back into her bag. Kiana took a quick look at everyone before her eyes came to rest on Quin. "It is easier for some than others. I'm just guessing here, but it seems that you didn't mind leaving your town and you're really just having trouble to adapting to a life outside it." As usual, her voice was soft and kind, something that had become natural for her over the years.

*I let out a hiss when the ointment hits my wounds but the pain disperses quickly.* "Better adjust fast. I've got a bad feeling that rain on the town was just the tip of the spear."

Katara continued her walk through the woods. While coming towards the Mountians, she saw a waterfall and she wanted to find it. As she ventured deeper into the woods, the shadows grew longer. She had strung her bow before she came, that was good. Then a sound filled her ears, and she smiled at it. She picked up her pace to a run. She ran until the leaves and foilge beneath her vanish into smooth gray stone, and the trees thined out to a few large oaks. She stepped around an oak, and saw the waterfall. The pool it was going in was the clearest water she had ever seen. As she ventured nearer, the pool seemed like glass and it was lined up perfectly with the stone, and the stone went straight down. She got on her hands and knees and looked down and saw gems at the bottom. Her eyes widened, and she looked around herself. It was amazing. She started her way back, and marked the trees with an arrow every 10 feet.
She finally saw the camp, and she ran into it. "Guys, you'll never believe what I found!!" She said, using up all her air in her lungs, so she had to breathe before she could tell them.

Katara tried to explain. "It was a waterfall, with gems, and stone, and glass, and, and, and. Well, I just have to show you!" She gasped, still looking for breath.
