And I won't," Kiae replied. "Ever. But you're dodging the question." ((Yeah, that's right... I remember now. Now I feel like the dumbass. gonk Ah well, ain't the first time. mrgreen )) "Not ever?" Cobain thought, stunned. He couldn't imagine the thought of his daughter growing up without a mother. "I... I was just a bit surprised that you still hadn't even seen her," Cobain said, shaking his head slowly. "Last time I had visited was two years before, I was certain you'd at least see her between then and now."

She turned red, partly from frustration, but remained firm. "It's for the best, for everyone concerned. How would she feel, knowing a mother who would never grow old, would only bring danger to her? And I can't live with watching my daughter die while I remain ageless," Kiae added sadly.

Color Me Fubar "No," she said firmly, shaking her head. She turned red, partly from frustration, but remained firm. "It's for the best, for everyone concerned. How would she feel, knowing a mother who would never grow old, would only bring danger to her? And I can't live with watching my daughter die while I remain ageless," Kiae added sadly. "I don't think it's for the best for our little girl to never know her mother, to never have a mother." Cobain said quietly, taking one of Kiae's hands gently. "And I honestly think you deserve to be happy, if only for a little while."

"And I honestly think you deserve to be happy, if only for a little while." "You don't get it," Kiae said softly, moving her hand from his stubbornly. "I wouldn't be happy. I can't. Color Me Fubar "You don't get it," Kiae said softly, moving her hand from his stubbornly. "I wouldn't be happy. I can't. I'm fine doing what I do now with Andurael," she said firmly, hiding her emotions from the Bond as best she could. Cobain felt a little of what Kiae was feeling- he doubted someone could feel like that and hide it completely. Besides that, he could see it in her eyes. "I don't think you are, Kiae." He said sadly. "I lost my mother- I lost my entire family. It's not a good feeling, Kiae. You know it's not. Until I met you, I was honestly trying to get myeslf killed. So, please, don't tell me what I 'don't get'. And I know you'd be happy- I was happy just looking into her eyes."

Until I met you, I was honestly trying to get myeslf killed. So, please, don't tell me what I 'don't get'. And I know you'd be happy- I was happy just looking into her eyes." "You just can't understand. It's not your fault," she murmured, staring at the table and picking back at her stew. "It's how a mother feels, plain and simple. Being in my daughter's life - especially now - is not the best thing for her." She shrugged. "Maybe one day I'll lie, say I'm a cousin or some such nonsense, to see her. Years from now, when she's old and has already had a full life without me in it."

Being in my daughter's life - especially now - is not the best thing for her." She shrugged. "Maybe one day I'll lie, say I'm a cousin or some such nonsense, to see her. Heavy-Metal-Hippie Cobain shook his head yet again, looking at Kiae sideways. "I'm still going to see her, whenever possible. At least she'll know her father cares." He said, suddenly angry. Those words hurt, but she hid them under her Aes Sedai guise. "Just don't bring trouble to her door," she said, a menancing tone hiding beneath her calm voice. "Or you won't like the consequences." "Bloody fool! What does he think will happen if I ever try to have contact with her? The New Order will find her, and that will be it," Kiae thought in irritation, and ignored the chilling idea that crossed her mind. "Unless they already have."

He said, his voice rising slightly. "I actually bother to disguise myself. No wonder the Order finds you every time, though- look at you!" He exclaimed, gesturing. "Your fancy clothes, that bloody ring, your air of power- the way nobody can hear us." He said pointedly, gesturing around them as if the Ward was something visible. "You might as well hang a flaming sign around your neck, 'I'm an Aes Sedai of the Yellow, just like the one you're looking for!'"

I do belive you've signed the death warrant of a whole village, all at one time. If you need me I'll be... you'll find me." Cobain said, turning on his heel and walking towards the stairs. "What?" He roared suddenly, turning on somebody that was staring incredulously. Without waiting for an answer, he grabbed the man's shirt and yanked downward, slamming the man's head into the table. Muttering to himself, he strode off toward the stairs.
