Hours later, Arne stumbled into the house after stuffing more bills into the hands of a disgruntled taxi driver. He staggered into the living room and fell on to the couch with a loud thump. Tears streaming down his face, he began to sob. The Kemo had been so painful and now, afterwards, he still felt the horrible pain. Why...? His head pounded and the very essence of his body was falling apart, or that's what it felt like. Arne's brown hair fell down over his eyes as he fell to the ground and rolled under the table, accidentaly hitting his head. Arnold felt the blood in his hair, but the pain he already felt was much worse. It drowned out the little pain that the wound gave him. Shaking on the floor, he couldn't think, couldn't speak, all he could do was sob, hopelessly on the floor. Not remembering what he had meant to do, he just lay there underneath the table.

Mason jerked awake to a loud thudding noise coming from downstairs. She sat up and blinked a few times trying to focus her eyes, which didn't work. No matter how hard she tried, her eyes remained blurred. Mason used her hands to feel around in case she were to run into anything. She quickly grabbed the stairs railing and carefully made her way down, and flipped on the light, but not before shutting her eyes to block out the sudden flash. She noticed a dark figure lying under the table and exclaimed. "Help! Somebody get down here!" Mason recognized the glint of blood. "Wake up! I can't see!" She called up the stairs, hoping at least someone was a light enough sleeper to hear her and come. She didn't know what else to do. "I need glasses..." she muttered, then continued screaming. [[It's so cute!]]

The sound of shouting startled Derrik out of the bed and to his feet. He did not want to leave Nathan right then, but it sounded serious. "We'll have to finish this chat. Soon. But for now..." Derrik smiles faintly and leans over the bed to kiss Nathan's green-streaked hair. "It sounds like another fire to be put out." He strode out of the room and hit the stairs running.
When he made it down the stairs, he took in the situation at a glance and went directly to Arnie. Mason looked to be unhurt, but she was screeching at the top of her lungs. Kneeling by the prone Arnie, he checked the wound. It was bleeding all over, but head wounds tended to do that. His head didn't seem misshapen; that gave Derrik a sigh of relief. "Calm down, Mason. We just have to stop the bleeding."
Not waiting to see if Mason would listen to or even hear him, Derrik rose to his feet and went into the bathroom to grab a stack of the neatly folded hand towels. Kneeling by Arnie, he firmly pressed the first towel to the wound. "What happened to him? Were you with him?"
((I still say Nathan looks none too happy. XD But it is cute.))

Colleen was torn from her little world of music at the sound of Mason shouting from downstairs. Carelessly tossing her guitar onto the bed, she sprinted downstairs with panic evident in her expression. Nearly leaping down the stairs, she came to a halt in front of Mason. "What is it? What happened?" Her arms were held in the air, horozontal with the floor, as her breathing was loud and shallow. Coleen failed to notice the body under the table until Derrik knelt down, having assumed that Mason was in trouble because of her screams. Fully aware that she had absolutely no medical knowledge that would be even remotely helpful at the moment, she stood in silence, listening and calming down.[[Edited. >.<]]

"Annora already knows. And she's fine with it. Everyone else should be, too. They love us, no matter what. Something I learned when I got back. Don't worry, they'll take it like they took Annora's pregnancy; amazingly well." Nathan giggled a little. "Thank you, Derrik. You don't know how much this means to me. I'm...not alone anymore." Nathan hugged him tighter. Then, Nathan heard the screams from down stairs. Derrik left the room first, but when he recognised the voice, he left the room quickly. He ran down and saw Derrik tending to Arnold and Mason looking alarmed. Nathan ran over to Mason and tried to get the story from her. "Masey, calm down, what happened?" Nathan asked. He hugged her while he spoke to her. His sister use to do that when he was alarmed or upset to calm him down. It was a genuine way to do so.

"Arnold seems to have hit his head pretty hard. I am trying to stop the bleeding now, but if anything turns for the worst, I want you to call 911." It was just precautionary, Derrik told himself. He did not think there would be a need for that. It was just a nasty bump on the head that looked worse than it really was. He looked approvingly at Nathan who was trying to calm Mason. This situation was under control. Relax. Well, as much as anyone relaxed while holding a towel to a bleeding wound.

Mason shut up as soon as she felt a figure pass by her. She kept rubbing her eyes vigorously until eventually she could make out vague details, realized it to be Derrik who came to her yells and Arnold on the floor, and someone hugging her, which turned out to be Nathan. "I didn't do anything. I think he hit his head on the table, and the noise woke me up. What can I do?" She turned to Derrik. [[Dreams, you should do one of Arnold and Mason when they were outside staring at each other! 4laugh ]]

Nathan looked to Derrik. He seemed to have his hands tied, but Colleen seemed to be just watching. He decided not to take either, seeing as Colleen would be needed to get anything for Derrik, and Derrik needed to take care of Arnold. Nathan turned back to Mason. "Don't worry Masey. Just, go get your contacts or glasses. I think everything is under control." Nathan reassured her. He turned back to Derrik and looked down at Arnold. "Is he having a seisure?" Nathan asked. "This is really scaring me. I'm gonna call for an ambulance." Nathan said as he flipped ou this phone.

"Nothing just yet. It does not look serious." Derrik gave Mason a slightly puzzled look. His brows were drawn together a bit and his lips almost frowned in thought. She had defended herself against accusation. Did she really think he would believe it anything but an accident? Maybe Nathan was right; nothing was going to be normal. It had been too long and some things had changed. Some things had really, really changed, he thought as his gaze shifted to Nathan instead. Nathan... really, who would have thought? But enough of that; making moony eyes over Arnie's prone body would be just plain insensitive. He thought to stop Nathan from making the call, but then again one could never be over prepared. "A seizure? I do not know; has that been a problem for him before?"

Arnold heard screaming, then a rush of people. He felt the people around him, trying to help him. Quickly, Arne whipped around and yelled out as the cut on his head began to throb. Holding his hand to it, he quickly drew it back. blood... He was staring at the red stain on his fingers in amazement. If any of the sorrw from earlier remained, it was comepletely forgotten in this new revelation. Feeling someone touch him freaked him out. Having people crowd around him, let alone touch him has weird enough. Arne despised to much activity. "What the hell?!" He backed away and got out from under the table, ignoring the blood on the back of his neck. "Stay away..."

Mason smirked slightly. "I still haven't been to the eye doctor." She had a lot of problems in the morning with her sight, but hadn't done anything about it. She sighed as she realized how long her to-do list was getting. Then she was brought back to reality when Nathan spoke. She put her arm out. "Wait, Nate, I think he'll be okay."

Derrik's brows drew closer together. "Arnold, we are trying to help you. Get back on the floor; your head is bleeding." Stay away? One would think he was surrounded by strangers! Was he just disoriented? Maybe going into shock? Or was it more of his usual distaste of others touching what was his? Derrik honestly hoped it was the last. "No one here is trying to hurt you. You must realize that."
