So I found out that the "Yanky doodle went to town" song was made up by the British in order to make fun of the first settlers in America. Appearantly Yanky doodle means homosexual. Other than Ring Around the Rosie, I wonder what other childhood songs out there mean something totally different than what we thought as a child.
