He sighed, "If you think you must...but I will miss you greatly while you are gone."

Her heart seemed to be working overtime to make up for her lack of brain function. "Why?" she whispered.

She had no clue how to respond, what to say. The need to go, to run, to fee was nearly overpowering, but so was the opposite urge to stay. When given two equally strong urges, Lilly was ever one to choose the path that took less effort. She closed her eyes again and leaned her head against him.

Universe gently stroked back her hair, closing his eyes so that he could remember this moment for all of time. "Thank you, my dearest Lilly..."

The sun would rise soon and he'd have to retreat back to his hideaway. He picked her up and carried her into a nearby cave, covering her with his cape and kissing her forehead before retreating back into a deeper chamber for the day. "Sleep well, with peaceful dreams, my Lilly."

She woke up some time later, and blinked, confused. She was sleeping on rocky ground. Why? She always slept on grass. Unless she was running for her life from some one she ticked off, in which case she would have been in the branches of a tree. And what was over her? She looked back and saw the cape. "So familiar," she mumbled, trying to remember where she had seen it before. Then like a wrecking ball the previous night rushed back at her. Universe. This was his cape. Had he moved her? Then where was he? She didn't know why finding him was so important, but suddenly it just... was. She got up and put his cloak on, so she wouldn't have to carry it, then began searching for him.

He woke up, slowly, from the noises in the other part of the cave. Someone was moving around. "Lilly? Is that you?" He asked, still in a haze from sleep.

"No, not necessarily. Your blood belongs to you. If you wish to share, then I would accept, but I would never ask you to share."

"True, though I also enjoy the bond that sharing blood creates." He yawned and stood up. "But that is something up to you."
