"Yes, it is worrying..." Thela agreed. What Gado spoke of was true; many of their number were injured, the usual big 'players' either taken out or not up to their full capacity.

"What I don't understand is-" She stopped speaking mid-sentence as some movement caught her attention. Not too far away she saw Seph moving towards the den, with meat in his mouth. But behind him was another cat, with a cub in their mouth. The jaguar immediately stopped grooming, jumping to her feet, ready run over and take out the malicious stalker of Seph... when she realized, from their overall body posture, that Seph knew about his followers. In fact, it very much looked like the cats following Seph were not sneaky at all.

Even so, Thela felt obligated to investigate. She gave a look to Gado, indicating he could follow if he wished, and then made quick time other to Seph.

"Seph?" she asked, walking next to him. The question she was really asking was 'who are these cats following you?', but she didn't wish to be so blunt in front of them. She gave the other cats a hard look, sizing them up.

"Etana and Dene" Was Seph's simple response, having caught the tone. "They may or may not be new additions to the pride. We shall see what will be when it happens" Seph said, his tone plain and simple. His tail gave a slight twitch before he stopped just outside a den "We're here" He said, indicating that they had reached the healers den.

(sorry my posts are short, just not a lot I can think to have Seph do.^^')

((Yeah. I thought it was funny too. "Dem's cubs are dangerous weapons!"))

Thela saw the cubs wiggling and surpressed her amusement. Young were so hard to control... she knew that she would never have the patience to be a den watcher. She kept at Seth's pace as they walked to the den.

It wasn't too often that new members of the pride wandered this way. She wondered if their reception would be well or not, given the current turmoil. But she knew that their healers would not turn them away in this state; if they were unable to join, they would at least leave feed and well.

Tami was there to meet them at the den. Thela listened to her questions and answered for them all. "These are Etana and Dene. They wish to join our pride, but first they seek medical treatment, especially the little one." Her observant eye on them had not missed the fact the young cub, while energetic, was quite ill. One didn't need to see to know that though, with Dene's cough.

"I'll go inform Bianca and Zephre of the situation. You can care for them here," the jaguar stated matter-of-factly before loping off to the other den. A few minutes later she was outside of it, annoucing her presence to those inside.

"Bianca? Zephre?"

Tami looked to Etana. "May I take her? Just to look her over, and give her something for her cough." she asked. She knew better than to try and take a cub from another cat; it rarely ended well for her.

((short, I know. Not much for her to do though...))

"This is his assistant, Tami. Trust me, you'll know Zephre when you see him" Seph said. He'd moved just off to the side of the Den entrance and now sat there watching Etana. Since he brought her here, it seems to only make sense that he watch over her and the cub for now...not like he had anything better to do anyway.

Sitting there, cleaning one of his paws, his stomach suddenly gave a fierce growl, reminding him that he'd neglected to eat.

Dene looked up at Etana to see what her sister thought of this. The older leopard gave an affirming nod, so Dene squirmed out from her place between the huge black paws. She sniffed the seeds inquisitively, then glanced back at her sister one more time before taking one between her sharp little cub teeth. It tasted awful, and she spit it straight back out, licking her tongue against her teeth to rid herself of the taste. After a moment of this, she tried again, and barely succeeded in swallowing the whole seed. She downed a few more before turning her gaze to Tami, her face contorted from the revolting taste of the seeds.

"It tastes bad," Dene informed the apprentice, wondering if the female even knew what she was feeding the little cub.

Tami nodded with a faint smile. "I know. The leaf tastes a lot better, it'll get rid of the taste." she said, glancing towards the direction Zephre would come from, hoping to but not seeing him. She was growing somewhat uncomfortable sitting here, not entirely sure what to do. "Did you need anything...?" she asked somewhat hesitantly, looking to Etana. She didn't see any wounds or the like from where she was, and neither on the cub. But that didn't mean much, as she hadn't gone over either.

((Ooc: I can not tell form the posts if everyone is hanging out in Bianca's den or outside it. Bianca will be VERY upset is there are outsiders in her den. Especially since her subordinates have disappeared and can not enfore while she is away.

And, not only are they outsiders, the with a cub possibly ill in her den, that cub could contaminate the others and make them sick as well.

So, I'm just asking if everyone would exactly define where they are because I'm getting mixed signals from different posts. Thanks! ))
