"Hmm? Oh, just debating stealing you from Leena since you're wonderful and have food." Cori said innocently, the grin faltering slightly. She wasn't quite sure how he'd react to her usual self, the teasing and joking.

Vadász blinked at her, he seemed at a loss for a moment before he broke out laughing, having to quiet himself so as not to wake Eve. "Well I'm glad you think I'm wonderful." He snickered again, smirking as he leaned close, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, and mainly for my food eh?" He then winked at her, teasing gently, leaning back again with another chuckle. He then sighed and shook his head, thinking of what Leena would say. "You may or may not find a fight if you were going to try and steal me. Either she would say no and make sure that there would be no room for arguments, or else she'd be like, 'Fine. take him.' Probably some mix, leaning towards the first, if you were being serious." He smiled, mocking a hurt expression when he imitated Leena, then smiling softly.

Cori relaxed, relieved that he hadn't taken offense. "Only if it's only when I'll be out here for a while? Otherwise I won't have to deal with all the dried food or hunting much." she said, her gaze flickering up from the bread she was cutting to eat with the cheese. It was so good to eat something that wasn't dried, or that she didn't have to find and make.

He felt her relax, his smile softening a little as he nibbled on a new piece of jerky. He swallowed, giving her a wide smile, "That should be fine. She won't mind if it's once in a while." He then snatched up another sandwich, finishing it quickly. He frowned a little, tilting his head, "Drinks. Thats what I forgot." Then he raised his eyes to her, tilting his head, "What would you like to drink? I've got wine stored, rum, water that I can heat up and make tea with since I have tea bags somewhere, um.... juice....I think that's it."

Cori shrugged. "Doesn't matter. Just whatever you want or find first." she said with a faint smile. She paused, something was off. Tyri whinnied again, tossing her head. "What is it girl? Who do you see?" she asked softly, getting up and going to the mare, looking around and supressing a moan. "I'd recommend switching to a hawk. Idiot'll be here in a few minutes and'll be even more of a pain if he sees you. Shouldn't know you, but it'll bring up questions I don't exactly want to explain." she said, glaring at where a man was riding towards them. "What's he even doing out here... Unless the kid ran off again..." she muttered, sighing and leaning against her horse.

He nodded and was about to reach into the shadows when he felt it too, freezing to the spot. He was already a hawk by the time she said for him to, screeching as he flew down from the height he had reached, landing lightly on her shoulder, watching the man warily. He cocked his head, golden eyes considering the man with a harsh judgement, he was interrupting his time as a human. And merlin hawks were known to be particularly vicious when they didn't like you. Still, he calmed himself, reverting back to the wary glare, cooing a little in question as to what she meant. The cloth had wrapped everything up and was back in the shadows, making it appear as if nothing had happened.

"Esmissary between Aduil and one of Altarion's countries, forget which. Or supposedly. I've had to deal with him before, even if I was in the back and he didn't notice me." Cori murmured, reaching up to stroke his feathers, automatically trying to sooth him. She'd always done that to just about any animal, despite him being human as well. "I demand to see Princess Eve. She cannot summon the army away and leave Aduil empty for attack." "I'm sorry sir, it was her decision to make, left to her by her father. Take it up with the king." Cori said calmly, though any patience quickly vanished as he continued to push and demand. "Who are you any way to be denying me? Have I seen you before? Wait, you're the brat Halt-" "And I have his diplomacy and patience as well as his ability to put an arrow anywhere I want it." Cori injected, smiling sweetly though her eyes were cold and hard. "Then you're out of luck. We aren't in a castle and there's window or moat for you to throw me out of. Not that you could." he said smugly. "And, I demand to see identification." he added. Cori only rolled her eyes, pulling her oakleaf amulet from under her shirt, hanging on a thin silver chain. That was proof enough. "Need I remind you that I hauled your fat a** out of the chair and out a window?" she asked dryly, hands resting on her hips. "That was you? Oh... In that case...." he trailed off, realizing which girl it was before her. "What's with the hawk? "New pet. Now, is there any reason for you being here other than to annoy me?" Cori asked, hiding a smile as he shook his head, leaving then. She knew he'd be back, but at least he wasn't pestering her at the moment.

Vadász narrowed his eyes, or would have if her were human, calming only a little at her touch. He didn't like how he spoke to Cori. He shifted a little as they argued, or the man did at least, doing his best not to dig his talons into Cori's shoulder. He seemed to laugh in whatever way a bird can laugh at mention of shoving him out a window, clicking his beak in disapproval once the man had gone. Flying off her shoulder, he almost flew after him in attack, but he controlled himself again, changing back into a human, wearing a cloak around his shoulders now, frowning. "I swear if he weren't an emissary I would have..." He growled, then suddenly smiling at her, the air lightening as his mood did, pulling out the meal again, this time with some drinks. He found that he had found the wine first, chuckling a little as he rumaged(sp?) around in the shadows for some glasses, finding them quickly. "Now, where were we? And you tossed him out a window?" He raised an eyebrow with a smirk, popping the cork off, filling their glasses halfway, nibbling on a piece of cheese.

Cori grinned at the mention of it. "Blame Halt for teaching me." she said, taking the glass with a faint dip of her head as thanks, taking a sip. "But virtually the same thing happened. He was a stubborn idiot, and Alicia's patience was at it's end... She's a friend, couple years older and a diplomat. And Halt had done it before to others, with or without me there watching. She mentioned it, so we shoved him out the window into the moat." she explained. Not quite so spectacular, but incredibly entertaining.

Vadász chuckled, shaking his head a little. "I blame no one, it's so entertaining." He then rested his elbow on his knee when he bent it, his temple pressing against the back of his hand as he listened, sipping from his glass. He laughed, looking up to the sky as he took another sip. "Oh I wish I could have seen that.... Thats brilliant." His violet eyes then turned to her, laughter still in them. "I've done some things like that, but not as entertaining as that image. Some of them were a little over the top." He chuckled, brushing his hair back.

"I guess he doesn't realize what is about to happen anyway." Eve sighed after the Emissary left, slowly sitting up. "Selena and I tried not to take the army so quickly because we know what will happen now. Since the army has left Aduial, it is indeed open for attack. And if Selena knows Altarion and her sisters as well as she claims to, then everyone will be killed very soon. The elven and human races will be completely wiped off the face of this planet, and the remainder in the army will slowly diminish until we are extinct..." The princess said, resting her head on her knees. "It makes me sad to know that my people must pay the ultimate price in order for me to even have a shot of getting close to Altarion..." She murmured.

"Like what?" Cori asked, glancing to her horse as Tyri moved to start grazing before looking back to Vadász, sipping at the wine.

(( It's fine. kk g'night! ))
His ears seemed to perk up when he heard Eve, turning his gaze to her then. "Leena knew this when she agreed to help Roran talk to your father." He sighed heavily, shaking his head with a soft smile, getting up from where he was to crouch down next to her, rubbing her shoulder a little. "Leena already had a plan for when the army would move. She set up quite a few spies in Aduial and they are experienced mages that will ensure your peoples survival. The kingdom may burn down, but the people are safe. Only fakes that we've set up remain there now. Or at least by now." He told her in a whisper, knowing that even the ground may have ears. "They will act as your people should, and our spies will watch over just in case things don't work out as planned." He added, removing his hand, smiling softly to her.
Turning his gaze to Cori then, he just shook his head, chuckling a little. "Oh stories for other times. Never know who may be listening here. Knowing my luck someone'll show up that was involved in some of them." He smirked, downing the rest of his wine.

Eve smiled lightly to Vadasz and shook her head sadly. "I appreciate what Leena is trying to do for my people, but my sisters will know...and they will find a way to get around it and end my people's lives. If i made allies and took their armies, the same would have only happened to them." She sighed. She seemed to be thinking about something for a moment before her eyes went wide and she hid her head in her palms. "I hope they don't remember that..." She groaned.

Vadász cocked his head, sighing lightly, frowning a little, sensing how she was feeling. He sent out a calming wave from him to her, just hoping it would help and she wouldn't reject it. "Well, they won't go down without a fight from us at least. Leena is still near Aduial so she may use some tactics that she has hidden away." He didn't show how this thought worried him since it required so much from her, nor did he let it leak into the emotion he was sending so hopefully she wouldn't feel as bad. He sighed again, gesturing to the food that was still laid out. "I saved some of what we were having for you, care to join us?" He offered gently, giving her a warm smile.
