What is it you want to protect, boy?... The Captain asked, while bashing with his Zanpakutou on the ground, forming a small crater there - not only by the strength of the blade's blow, but also by the impact caused by his spirit pressure. Arcs of lightning spurt from it, as the hadou had just been released into the ground.

Leaving a trail of smoke from the pipe still on his mouth, Mock rushed towards Hishida once again, less than a mere second after touching the ground. Sparks were sent flying, as the air charged with electricity, collided with his reishi and that of his Zanpakutou, also interacting with the indigo aura of Mock's reiatsu, instinctively being drawn out.

...When you can't even protect yourself?

Yet once more, he raised his katana above his head as he ran, in order to struck Hishida on the top of his own with it. - Another simple yet effective blow, but one easy to perceive and react to.
Reiryoku was being focused in his left hand, in the form of a red sphere, the size of his palm...

Maybe 13th Squad was not such a good choice after all, eh? He grinned. Not a common thing to see in the "current" MockaDash. This only meant that he was starting to have some fun... Forgetting about the sorrow in his heart, caused by recent events...

Stand your ground! He ordered, as the blade came down...

((Zizoren, try to write more than 3 lines... I know you can do it... just be less lazy dude... xp ))

((I'll try >.<))

As Hishida prepared for the impact of his captain, he felt a foreign surge of reistu flow through his body. He had absolutely no idea of where it had come from, or if he could control the massive amount of it. At this point though, he didn’t care. All he wanted now was to prove to his captain that he was meant for this squad. Hishida dove towards his captain’s blade and swiftly brought his up to meet it, trying to ignore the Reiryoku in Mocks hand. While doing this a light layer of black aura engulfed his body. As the swords collided, a few sparks shot from them and a strong shockwave of pure reitsu emitted from Hishida. But as the blades were locked up with each other, Hishida strangely felt like some sort of pressure was strangling his body. His blade was getting heavier by the millisecond. His vision started to become fuzzy and a high pitched ringing sound echoed in his ear. He then realized that the reitsu that had entered his fighting sequence was taking over his normal reitsu. He instantly knew that this was bad and tried to pull away from MockaDash but was frozen in that single position. He wanted to scream and collapse onto the floor, but his body wouldn’t obey.

Mock clearly noticed what was happening to Hishida. He knew it just too well... That's why he didn't held back! This was an opportunity not to miss, for the kid's own benefit!

The energy being focused on his left hand was a kidou being prepared to be released. Hadou #31 -- Shakkaho! MockaDash casted. Without the incantation the hadou would be much less powerful, but at such close range, it would do some serious damage nonetheless.

As he approached his subordinate, Mock chose not to swung the blade towards his opponent's skull. Instead, he just released the shot of red energy at Hishida's face. Since the Shinigami was frozen in place, the burst hit him right where it was intended. Hishida flew backwards, his body limp, and fell on the ground.

Mock returned the katana to its sheath and puffed some smoke from his pipe. A grin appeared across his face.

(( Sorry for the godmodding Hishida. Hope you don't mind, since I simply did it so you can get shikai! I hate to do it, but in this cases I must, it was the ringing of the bell...

Here's the deal... Now you have to do a solo RP, where you commune with your zanpakutou's spirit and achieve your shikai. You can RP that my attack put you unconscious or not. Since sometimes shinigamis are awake and time frozes when they speak to their zanpakutous.

So go on, this is all that's left for you to achieve shikai. xd ))

((Of course I don't mind mrgreen . Now should I make a new thread for this, put it in my journal, or just write it here? btw: I have a ton of homework at the moment so I might not be able to post it until the weekend gonk ))

(( Do it here! Then if you like, you can link your post to your profile or/and copy-paste it to your journal. Though this is merely optional.

But first, post it in here, and make it as good as you can!!! It's your moment to shine!!! xp ))

((Well, here it goes!))

Hishida instantly felt a ripple of pain flow through his body as he was struck with the kidou and knocked to the ground. His brain went blank for a long few seconds. He then woke up lying on the ground in the same position as he had fallen into it in. As his vision cleared, he found himself in a location that did not resemble that of the one he had fallen unconscious in. Hishida lifted his upper body, now putting himself in a sitting position, and examined his new surroundings. He was in a large empty room that could have been some sort of church. There were four large windows on each side of the room that were letting in large amounts of light. There was no form of furniture in the room to be found. One major feature of the room was that the walls, floor, and ceiling all seemed to be made out of the same type of metal. The metal looked like some sort of really worn out stainless steel. Hishida felt the hard metal floor and noticed how cold it was. In fact, the whole room was really cold. As he breathed, he could see his small, icy, puffs of breath force out of his mouth. Hishida thought to himself, Where am I? Hishida slowly stood up and walked over to one of the long windows. He tried to look outside and get an idea of where he was, but was blinded by all the light that was entering the room through the windows. Hishida then turned his attention towards a long door that was located at the front of the room. Hishida began to walk away from the window and to the door. He walked down a few steps and examined it. The door was long and narrow. It about reached the ceiling in height, but was only about five feet wide. It was also made of the same metal that the entire room was. Not being able to find any sort of handle, Hishida pushed the door open and was bombarded by a strong ray of light. Hishida covered his eyes with his arm, but seconds later found the light to have faded away and reveal before him a maze.

Hishida took a few more steps into the labyrinth. The walls also seemed to be made of the same metal that the room was made of, but the metal floor had been replaced with bright green grass. He looked up and saw a cloudless, blue sky. Hishida was slightly relieved not to be in that metal room anymore, but was faced with a new confinement. Hishida also still had the same cold feeling that he had in the other room. Hishida contemplated his next move, but quickly came to the conclusion that the only choice that he really had was to go through the maze. Hishida began walking again. As he moved through what seemed like an endless amount of twists and turns, he began to develop some sort of sense of where he was going. It was as if someone, or something, was guiding him. Over time he felt the cold feeling from earlier slowly diminish. Though his scenery never changed, he knew that he was getting closer to wherever he was supposed to be. Finally he found an exit. It was a long aisle with the same light that he had seen earlier waiting for him. Hishida started to run towards the exit, the cold feeling he had before was now turning into a warm one. His eyes closed as he ran through the blinding ray of light, but quickly reopened to discover a meadow.

Hishida studied the rolling hills and graciously let go of the tense feeling he had seconds ago. “This would be a good place to play my shamisen” Hishida thought to himself. After taking all the scenery in, a dark figure with an entrance of black mist appeared 12 feet away from him. The being wore a dark cloak rapped around his body and a hood over his face, only to reveal two glowing gray eyes. It looked directly at Hishida and began to speak in a low, echoing voice, You are Nishimura Hishida. This was more of a statement rather then a question. Hishida hesitantly replied, Yes. Hishida followed up his reply with a question, who are you? The being blankly stared at him and replied, I am your Zanpaktou’s spirit. Hishida then realized what was happening. This whole time he had been confused on where he was and why he was here, but it had dawned on him that he was here to meet his Zanpaktou’s spirit. The spirit then took Hishidas new discovery as an opportunity to inform him on a personal and vital topic. The spirit said with a hint of urgency, I must warn you about something that I am sure you have been confused about for a long time now. At once, Hishida became very curious at what his spirit would next say. The spirit continued, Remember any moments in your life where you had lost reitsu control? How about the time you had accidentally killed those four men with “spontaneous kidou”? Or the time in the academy when you blew up a wall and almost incinerated your hands? Hishida had remembered these two events all too vividly. The spirit began talking again, your reitsu has a quality that many shinigamis don’t have. It is… aggressive. Because of this it is extremely hard to be controlled and is just as dangerous to yourself and others. This is also why you can’t use kidou without losing reitsu control. Everything now made sense to Hishida, this would explain both events. Without waiting for a reply the spirit continued, you have more potential then you think, and you will be facing many battles in your future. I plan on aiding you in those battles. My name is Akuma tansen. After revealing this, the spirit vanished, and everything went dark. Hishida awoke in the same position on the ground that he was on when he had fallen unconscious. Trying not to think about his reitsu condition, Hishida gave a slight smile at his new accomplishment and began staring into the sky of Sereitei.

(( Not bad, Hishi. There's one or two misspells, but nothing much, also considering you had to write such a long post. Anyway, always read them twice or even thrice before submitting them.

Another thing you can work on, is not repeating "Hishida" at the beginning of each phrase. Read the first paragraph and the first half of the second one, and you'll now what I mean. It gets repetitive. Link ideas more often, or use "He", "the shinigami", or even adjectives to replace the name of your RPC, such as "the confused shinigami" or "the wandering man" etc. etc. instead of simply putting "Hishida" all the time.

But bottom line, Congratulations! xp ))

Mock glanced at his subordinate, as he was waking up and gazing at the sky. So did you get it? the Captain asked the young man, while smoking from his pipe. Your Zanpakutou's name, I mean...

Sitting next to the laid down Shinigami, Mock continued Mind if I sit next to you. Hishi-kun? You've been unconscious for quite some time, I've been following the variations on your reiatsu...

Show it to me, already...
He puffed some smoke, between sentences. Maybe this time... You'll last more than a few seconds against me!

Wanna text this theory?
MockaDash asked, with a wide grin, while exhaling tobacco smoke from his nostrils.

((Yeah, I've been working on homework all day and my brain is pretty much dead gonk , so i just wanted to get this posted :3 but I will work on those things.))

Hishida quickly sat up and looked at his captain. He recalled recent events and was curious to what his shikai was as well. He remembered what his spirit had said and hoped that his reitsu would stay under control in shikai form. He said to Mockadash, Lets see. The thought of being able to match his captain in power excited Hishida, but he knew that wouldn't be for a long time. Hishida stood up and drew his Zanpaktou. He felt a new sort of connection with it, and instantly knew that this would be fun. He closed his eyes and thought of what he was supposed to say to summon his shikai. More confidently then usual he reopened his eyes and said, condemn souls, Akuma tansen! His sword was covered with a heavy layer of reitsu and it took a drastic transformation. The hilt became two times larger and the sword changed from being a simple katana to a demonic, double edged broadsword. A black aura wrapped around the blade, covering the reitsu that was being given off from the sword seconds ago. Hishida examined his new blade and tested its weight. It was about the same in this category, but surprisingly seemed more maneuverable then its katana form. Hishida lifted his sword and got into his fighting stance. Finally he felt like he had a chance to prove something to his captain.

Mock grinned as he retrieved his wakizashi from within his kimono, using his left hand, at the same time he was using his right to unsheathe his katana - thus, his arms were crossed in front of his chest.

Returning each arm to its proper side along his body, he held the daisho pair in his hands - Longsword in right hand and dagger in left. The Captain addressed his student Show me how you will "both" fight. Strike at me again, only this time, combining forces.

MockaDash was still holding his kiseru on the right corner of his mouth, as he talked. Pausing his speech in order to inhale smoke smoke, the Shinigami exhaled it while talking. You can consider yourself victorious, if you force me to release any of my blades...

Hishida thought of what his next move should be. Considering the fact that he had no idea of what his shikai did, he didn't have much choice as to what he really could do. He knew that his head on strike hadn't been successful in the past, but maybe he had a better chance at it this time.

Not being able to think of any better options, Hishida gripped his zanpaktou with both hands and jumped towards his captain. In mid-air, the shinigami aimed a slash at Mocks left hand, in hopes that his captain would have a hard time blocking Hishidas much larger sword with his smaller wakizashi.

In the process of doing this, he felt his spiritual pressure rise to a much higher level then Hishida was use to. He became somewhat nervous at this, but tried to use it to his advantage.

By monitoring Hishida's subtle reiatsu changes, Mock became aware of what was passing through his mind. That's it! Don't fight it. Use it!

The Captain measured the young man's reiatsu, and allowed a small portion of his own to leak out. Just the enough amount to cause Hishida to feel as if the gravity had increased, and probably cause him some trouble breathing. An aura of indigo merged into their surroundings, as if spilling out into the world.

Hishida's initiative wasn't bad, but it was prone to fail nonetheless. Though the comparative size between Mock's wakizashi and Hishida's Zanpakutou was significant, sword skill and raw power was the main factor in play.
MockaDash easily parried his subordinate's large blade with his own dagger. The reiatsu the Captain had previously released, had helped diminishing the strength behind Hishida's blow. Not only that, when fighting with a daisho pair, the wakizashi is usually used as a "shield" while the katana is the actual offensive weapon. So, Mock had training in blocking all sorts of weapons and blade sizes as well.

A little too cocky, aren't we? He grinned happily. Maybe because of the battle, or maybe because of the spiritual pressure he had been releasing, but truth was that MockaDash was feeling good with himself. You should have tried to actually aim for a real blow, rather than attempting to disarm me. You thought that size alone would decide which of our blades would win?

Presumption always comes prior to a fall!

The blades collided, releasing sparks while clashing against each other. Mock used his katana to slash at Hishida's torso, in a diagonal clean cut, from his target's right to his left.
PostPosted: Sun May 17, 2009 6:01 pm

Hishida wasn't surprised with how effortlessly his captain was able to parry his blade. He had expected as much. But Mockadash's sudden change in spiritual pressure had definitely caught Hishida off guard. Not only that, but while Hishida was trying to cope with his dulled senses, his captain was going in for an attack! Hishida knew that he wouldn't be able to block Mocks slash. He also knew that he wouldn't be able to dodge it.

Hishida tightened his muscles and braced for impact. But in the process of doing this, it was as if time had stopped. The shinigami stared at his captain’s oncoming sword as it slowed down. It was then when he heard a voice echoing from his zanpaktou, this is pathetic. I finally give you my name and you can’t even figure out how to use me? I guess this just means that I will have to give you an example of what to do.

Right after the voice finished its sentence, time sped up again and a rectangular block of black energy; about as tall as a regular katana, had sprouted from the ground and solidified into some sort of metal. In the process of doing this, it had collided with Mockadash’s sword and blocked Hishida from getting hit. The block had shot up with so much force; Hishida felt a slight wave of wind hit his face.

Metal manipulation? Mock thought, as he witnessed the block of metal "spurting" from the ground and coming in between Hishida and his own blade. Interesting...

Applying further strength into the thrust with his left arm, Mock pushed Hishida's Zanpakutou with his wakizashi. The Captain's katana had collided with the strong metal conjured by his opponent, and was pushing against it. The block didn't budge from where it stood.

MockaDash decided to let go of his katana allowing it to fall on the ground, and thus freeing his right hand. While pushing with his dagger against the young man's longsword, Mock forced him to leave an opening on his chest, by shoving his (Hishida's) Zanpakutou and right arm up. Quickly taking advantage of this, the Shinigami placed his right palm against Hishida's chest. Hadou #31 -- Shakkaho! he yelled.

A shot of red energy erupted from the Captain's hand, discharging itself at full-contact with Hishida's chest area. The blast of the kidou sent smoke and sparks flying everywhere.
PostPosted: Sun May 17, 2009 7:06 pm

Hishida had a split second to look at the reitsu that was forming in Mockadash's hand before he was struck down with it. Hishida felt a stinging sensation in his chest that spread through his whole body. Seconds later, he collapsed to the ground. His Zanpaktou returned to its original state, and the metal block had vanished.

The shinigami felt completely drained of reitsu and could barely sit himself back up. He examined his chest and saw that the kidou had burned off the part of his kimono that it had hit, and his chest was slightly burned, but nothing major, luckily.
