Sunny Summer breeze
Checkered blanket upon grass
Picnic in the sun

Poem Prompt
Sunshine, breezes, clouds.
Perfect picnic day today.
A luscious selection of food,
Waiting to be shared, devoured.
Juicy orange sections,
Strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Refreshing iced tea,
Feeding hunger, quenching thirst.
Perfect weather to laze about,
And enjoy the gift of today.
Shame time could not stand still,
But it's our moment
In this grassy glade.
Watch the birds fly,
And the butterflies flutter.
Hear the laughter on the breeze,
And feel the warmth of the sun.
Summer is about picnics,
About spending time with you.
Just our little time together,
Under the sky so blue. ( Whew. I don't know how good this is gonna be. xD But it was good to test my on-the-spot poetry skills. )

Nurse Trixie just wondering, why wasn't my entry put into the newbie flaffle? I as Riftwing have definitely posted over 10 times in the life of the main thread and its events.... stare I went by your first post, which didn't specify Newbie or not, so didn't put you in the Newbie Raffle. Sorry about that. As for questions about the Quest Raffles - Not all of the information is up, as it will be opening tomorrow. I also want to smooth some things out beforehand, too. So it might be best to wait until all the information is up tomorrow and then ask questions? biggrin

I still can't believe all this time, I thought flutters were a million more expensive than they actually are.

Picnic Prompt
Once upon a time,
In a land far away,
A little princess went for a walk
On the brightest of summer days.
In one hand a wicker handle,
In the other a blanket of white,
Her precious load of picnic treats
The source of her cheery delight.
The moment she sat down the blanket,
And settled her pink frilly skirts,
She promptly discarded the sandwich,
And continued straight to dessert!
The tisking of her mother,
The frown and the warning eye,
Went entirely unnoticed by the girl.
She just wanted that pie!
But a lesson was learned that day,
For when the treat was done,
What was she to look forward to,
When her sandwich was all gone?
The true delight of treats and sweets,
Is mostly in their taste,
But the anticipation and delight,
May easily be ruined in haste...
So the princess went back to the castle,
And never ate an early dessert again.
She lived happily ever after,
That is all. The end.

It has to do with the facts that I was in the process of redoing/reorganizing my quest thread and 2 of my quest Soquilis (namely Tom Riddle) have been removed (saved to word currently while I redecorate.) I can ask tomorrow if Riddle still counts. (I have proof of the form being posted in Ende's April customs, but there was a compromise so I was still questing Riddle.) Actually technically I HAD the funds for the quest, but they got hacked, so I really want to enter for Riddle even though his form isn't currently in my thread! *SHOT* sweatdrop

Need to figure out temper, and which butterfly/moth I am basing her on. Since this is for a dream raffle, I may decide on wether or not I want mane and tail edits (and may still get them if I get her the hard way, since she is a mil cheaper than I thought).

Lunar: Yeah, I thought about updating my flutter's form and adding hair edits. But really, I can't imagine him any other way than how the form is right now.
Edit: And I've gotta run, gonna have coffee with my mother in-law. If I'm not on when Kiwi gets back on and a prompt winner has been chosen, let them decide between them and just give me whichever pretty-pretty is left. I'm just happy I won, y'know? heart See ya.
