Izumi started to hum to herself as she let herself fall to the floor gently. Push-ups were something she did often when she had nothing else better to do. She didn't like to stay still for too long, perhaps her old habits were still with her? The love of testing her body's limits still stayed with the girl and she loved doing things to get her heart pumping. The last excersize merely annoyed her slightly due to her hight problem. The actual pull-ups weren't too hard for her to accomplish due to her previous physical training. Hopefully, soon she'd be able to spar with another person, taijutsu was also another thing she particularly enjoyed. Even if her actions, for the most part, never showed her Meho blood, her enjoyment of an adrenhaline rush was something she could never give up easily. Though she'd rather it not get too serious and really hurt someone else, a friendly little battle was entertaining. With her mind full of thoughts of a gentle fight, she'd forgotten what it was she was doing in the first place. It soon came back to her as she looked up and saw the other students still testing themselves.

[So busy! crying ]
Orika scooted away when Shisei came closer, surprised that he switched so suddenly from anger to helpfulness. Shinichi's praise barely registered in her head as she was so occupied with trying to avoid his golden gaze. Hesitantly, she took his hand, which was surprisingly warm, despite what the pale color suggested. "Of course not!" she muttered, brushing the invisible dirt off her shorts. She had been expecting him to push her back down, but since that wasn't the case, it meant that he was only angry because of Ero-sensei. Sure, Shisei might be grumpy, but he wasn't cruel. Orika smiled at the eggplant-haired boy, shaking her head. "No, I was just training. And eating other people is really nasty!" she laughed, "You said you'd make me eat what's left of my trap so I thought that included you cause in the future, my traps won't be that easy to escape from!" The girl gave the boy a thumbs up and looked back up at the bar. She took a few steps, crouched low, and jumped up as high as her legs would let her. Somehow her hand wrapped around metal and the girl was able to pull her other hand up. Ah, Shisei was still looking at her. Orika wasn't sure what to do with all the attention so she gave him a small grin back and prepared to pull herself up.

Anybody who was watching could tell plain and simple that Maya's sharp words hit their mark. Shinichi didn't bother hiding his emotions; What harm could he run into around a bunch of students? He silently looked to the side, head down, void of the usual acidic reply. Yes, he did miss Ichi and yes, nobody here had even close to the same relationship with the man as he. The dams that blocked away all thoughts of Ichi shattered and Shinichi finally had to accept that their Kage-sama was turned to stone, far, far away in the land of Rice. Well, then, what the hell was he doing here, an ANBU screaming at kids instead of doing his job? All of a sudden, the man knew where Aya and Kana had ran off to. "How long have they been gone?" he asked Maya, picking up Ayumi and smoothing her Orochi hair that practically begged to be molded into dreadlocks. The baby, sensing that the man no longer wanted to kill her, settled down. She stuck one finger into her mouth and sucked while Shinichi protectively held her.
"We wouldn't be shinobi otherwise, but you're right. There's more to ninjutsu than fighting..." the ANBU muttered, still looking Maya's way, "Eh, no problem, you're okay... Meho?!" Shinichi threw a sharp glance at Iyumi, trying to see the cannibal in that sweet face. When nothing came up, he cautiously asked, "I've never met a Meho who talked so kindly. Why are you different from others of your clan, Iyumi?"
Aiiee, it seemed as though he were 5 different people, trying to do so much at once. Shinichi tapped his foot patiently, getting a giggle from the little girl on his knee, as Shisei twisted his words again. "I don't like boys. I don't like girls. I'm not a pervert, okay? I already have somebody and he's in trouble so why don't you concentrate on your training instead of thinking unclean thoughts?" he insisted, one hand massaging the bridge of his misshapen nose. How Yuki dealt with all these questions was beyond him. "Listen to him," Shinichi murmured, pointing to the green-haired boy, possibly the only one who hadn't given him trouble.
When some lion cub walked in, the fiery redhead flicked a bandaged finger over to Baki. "Tategami Baki, would you mind tutoring the little black one? I doubt he can do pull ups." Alright, who else? Shinichi whirled his head around the room, stopping when Sorri said something stupid, then fell off the bar. "Like I said before, a ninja has to use his head!" he snapped, "Maya and her lion are genin, meaning they're able to do the exercise you're struggling at ten times over. Give your elders respect or I'll let her beat you up." Kami-sama, when did Shimagakure become a breeding ground for idiotic children? And to think at one point he wanted a son of his own. Shinichi was suddenly thankful for his choice of mate... and of course, for the roll of dice that made him a man and not a whimsical woman. Now that would be a nightmare.
"There are some bandages in the store room, Serena. If you wrap them around your hands, they won't be so slick," Shinichi called to the raven-haired model. Anybody else who had been listening would probably take the advice too. Okay, was that everyone? Good. Somewhat exasperated, he turned back to Maya only to have the boy nearly eaten by bugs stumble into the classroom. His arm were covered with neat, white bandages and Shinichi recalled that the little critters had drilled tiny holes in the poor boy's arm. It'd be too difficult for him to do the same exercise as everyone else. "You," Shinichi pointed to the kid who just walked in, "Give me three squats in a row. Go!" Finally! With a sigh, Shinichi rolled his eyes and focused his attention back on Maya. Wait, what were they talking about?

Shisei had to admit to himself, that he was slightly impressed. This Meho teen was the first to accomplish the exercise and she was already beginning another physical training. For someone dressed in such a tart like way a person would never expect that she could accomplish such physical training. Especially since her fair skinned body seemed to be unmarked. No scratches, scars or anything that would suggest past training. The serpent youth would have expected such durability from Orika. Speaking of, the energizer rabbit finally took hold of the snake’s hand. She pulled herself up, which almost took the serpent youth off his feet, but he was able to keep his ground. Her facial expression then flinched as if she was expecting the serpent youth to do something. This made the chalk colored head c**k to the side wondering what he was supposed to do. Her tanned face then gave a smile and gave a thumbs up, stating how her traps won’t be so easy to get from next time. Was that a challenge? “Heh. I won’t be caught so easy anymore.” The gold eye boy thought to himself, but did not say it aloud. She then hopped into the air like a grasshopper and caught hold of the bar. The amber eyes still kept his sight on Orika. She kept a grin on her face and began to try for her first pull up. What weird creatures girls are. Still the snake youth had to continue his training. Less he wanted another Shima female to show him up.
Shisei heard the crimson haired man speak again. His lips made a rebellious sound towards the man, but left it at that. Just as Karite had stated, an argument with this brute was not in favor of the little serpent. The snake youth decided to focus on the objective at hand. It was only to his disadvantage to let this man distract him anymore. Ero-sensei could wait. The only objective was to win. So with only a small glance at the beast woman with her lion disappear out the door and the body of scarabs enter, little snake returned to his purpose.

The snake child crouched low and shot up like a spring towards the bar. This was a decent idea, but the small child over shot himself towards the bar. Instead his chest went past the bar. Both clawed arms never got the chance to grip the iron beam. When Shisei realized this folly it was too late, his body was already descending fingers made a bold attempt for a second chance to grasp the tool. All ten digits grasped their target. Unfortunately the force of Shisei’s decent was greater than the power in both his arms. The grip around the bar only last for two seconds before all ten digits released their grasp. The dread head fell back to the classroom floor on his posterior. His light body surprisingly made a loud thump on the floor. Amber eyes stared up towards the beam while a palm rubbed his lower spine.

Karite noticed Maya as she left and the wicked wink she gave him meant something he would have to wait for. It was strange to say the least that was the warmest Maya had ever been to him. As the two left he noticed Kore was still around slowly swishing his tail across the floor like a broom. Cocking his head twice he motioned for Kore to follow the two. He would go to the grounds hoping that the three were not waiting to eat him. The demon had not noticed his Kunai and from across the room everything was happening around so quickly but even now there was no way the red haired demon could stop it. The glass would be shattered and the race against the clock would be over. Breathing in with a smile Karite heard the demon speak to his rival yet there was no retaliation. Karite was proud of his friend as he saw him. "Shisei, I know you don't like help, but thanks for listening. It means a lot. Now hurry up before I beat you." Karite said with a menacing chuckle. It did make Karite happy to know that Shisei did not like it when he helped but that the snake boy was respectful enough to know when to take it. Looking at the bar, Karite jumped and grabbed on still having enough power to bring himself over the top if his arms would cooperate with him.
+1 to Shisei's next roll.

Kore noticed Karite was having difficulty and wished to help, but Baki was right. Swishing his tail across the floor was all about he could do, but watching Karite's movements it was easy to tell that all he wanted the cub to go with Maya and Baki. Acknowledging such a sign the cub stood and trotted off after his pride. While it was not right to leave a member of the pride, Karite was not exactly a member to the rest of the pride. It would take time and they would see that is where he truly belonged.

Karite was feeling good with the amount of force he was moving but nothing could stop the fact that his palms were to sweaty to hold him up, As he reached the top of the bar so close to being on top his fingers let go as if the bar was not tangible to him. Being all the way at the top made for a long drop. The expression that feel onto Karite's face was one of shock and pain as he tried his best to swing for the bar before his now clothed back connected with the floor with a large thud. Bouncing off the ground like a lead ball karite lead there for a moment trying his best to catch the air that had escaped his body as he hit. Swallowing like a fish out of water he looked around and said as best he could. "No one say anything. I know its funny." While in slight pain and frustration Karite still had a sense of humor, but he would be feeling the pain and embarrassment of that one for days to come.

Viper face spun his head towards the noise of a shattering glass. Ero-sensei’s hourglass was no longer an hourglass. It resembled a mess of sand and glass with a kunai in the middle of the mess. Shisei’s little nose then pointed to the perpetrator. It was silver eyes. The boy began to provoke the serpent youth with a small chuckle. Beat him? Preposterous. Why is it every man, child and woman felt that he was the target to defeat? Then again in the serpent’s mind he knew he was the best. Of course that is why people wanted to prove him wrong. As much as Karite, Orika, sly smile and the insect holder wanted to gain the snake’s attention, there was only one person who deserved his undivided attention. That blasted imp. Yet his frame has been missing for a while. Then again the punk probably skipped school.
Shisei stayed sitting on the floor and watched as Karite made another attempt to do a pull up and fall towards the ground, creating a louder sound the Orochi youth. ”You plan to beat me that way? You, Orika, that Raiken female and the boy with shades like to spout things you can’t back up. Give it another try. Maybe you’ll get it this time.” Shisei stated. For now the snake child would let the pain his back subside before taking another leap.

Not wanting to move much Karite sat back down next to Shisei. Gaining the normal tone of voice with the air filling his body again Karite looked at the poison spitting boy next to him. "I back up every word I have ever spoken. If you truly believe you are better then everyone on this island then meet me on the grounds after class. I want witnesses to how bad I am going to prove you wrong. Tanu can wait, I will show you that the only real competition you have on this island is me." While Karite rolled slowly onto his back hopping he didn't break anything it was going to be hard to fight Shisei in the condition he was in now. It was so cold his body just wasn't up to much of anything anymore. It couldn't even do the simple task of pulling his weight up for a stupid class exercise.

A challenge? That interested Shisei. It would be a good warm up before facing Tanu-kun. There were others that Shisei needed to investigate, but silver eyes wanted to be the first. So be it. “Feh. I’ll be there after class then.” the snake child muttered returning to his feet. Once his body was vertical, he felt a small twitch at his right ankle. A gold eye flinched slightly by putting pressure on it. Figures. The day a trap clutches his ankle would be the day someone decides for a battle. It wouldn’t have been surprising if the emerald crimson eye devil herself walked in and stipulated the challenge. In the end that’s what made it interesting for the snake kid. It would be in Karite’s favor, but still. Swatting flies was no big deal. The cobra child was confident. Waiting for the awkward feeling to subside in this foot, the snake child examined his own bar near the book shelf. Well then, we better hurry up before it gets too late.. His voice stated.

The feeling still was not disappearing. This could be a bad foresight for the future. The indigo hair child decided to try his luck though. He gave a small trot to build up his acceleration. That should give him enough velocity to reach the bar. Right before he could reach the point of jumping. The twinge in his ankle flared up again. It was not a pain... not as yet. Still, it made the exercise difficult to accomplish. Instead of making a leap, the Orochi boy slowed his pace and came to a halt. Amber suns pivoted towards Orika who was still trying to accomplish her first pull up. The boy then returned his attention towards the ligaments in his ankle. Perhaps he needed to re-wrap the body part for a better response. The snake child contemplated what actions he should use to accomplish this exercise quicker.

A better investigation of his foot was needed. Shisei took a seat once again to examine his ankle. He his right leg over the left and pulled up the pant leg up to his knee. The bandages still held firmly, but you could see small splotches of red, no bigger than a period, by the ankle. To think that farm teen’s trap could have made him bleed. It made the serpent’s blood boil slightly, but not enough to notice any difference in his expression. The sight of red liquid on his body was never a pleasing sight. Last time he had bled was months ago, and before that it was unprecedented. He’d let this transgression from the diva pass. The next time one her contraptions cause another injury… the snake youth began to unwrap the bandage to confirm the amount of damage.

Strip by strip, piece by piece the snake youth saw the skin that was usually veiled to the world. The only times little snake would ever take off those bandages was during a bath. For him it held the only blemish on his body. At the back of his lower calf muscle the teeth marks of that blasted mongoose was still apparent. Such a nasty little animal. They all should be extinct. Shisei could at least call himself lucky that he did not pick up any rabies from the animal. The way how it happened… was trivial to the situation at hand. The serpent youth returned to looking at front of and sides of his ankle. Nothing seemed to be brutally marred. The wounds should heal within a day or two. At least that was the viper’s observation. Both palms began to give his joint a small massage as if to loosen some stress from the bones. This was starting to become annoying, especially since Ero-sensei had already lowered the bar for him.

Karite stood up slowly noticing his mission had been accomplished. He could relax now a little bit. He stood as he heard Shisei speaking and smiled. "Don't worry about me snake eyes. You worry about your ankle. We will be evenly matched today. My body doesn't seem to want to cooperate with me today." Standing to his full height Karite knew his back couldn't take it. Sitting back down he laid back and breathed deeply. Balling his hands up Karite put them over his eyes. Grinding his teeth Karite began to regret his decision to fight the Snake boy. He would have to remember to grab his Kunai before he left. He would need every advantage he could muster. He wouldn't kill Shisei but if he had to act like it for the boy to see no one else on this island was a match for him then so be it. Karite would be top dog in and out of the academy. He would be the one everyone wanted a piece of and no one could handle. This island was about to be shaken up and it was no earthquake. "Bring your arsenal cause even though we are friends so to speak. I won’t be holding back and neither should you. If I have to kill you to prove my point I won’t hesitate. So bring you’re A game snake eyes.”

To kill? To kill him? A small image flashed across Shisei’s mind. An image similar to one from his past, but not the same one. This one had his body shredded and dead. The snake youth was not even sure why this exhilarated him, but the stone expression that showed as much emotion as a white wall finally cracked and arched into a fanged smile. The pink tongue stretched out of his mouth, far enough that a person could see the pierced ring in his tongue. Just as the creature his DNA is so closely tied to, Shisei’s tongue slithered slowly across his upper lip. As if the pink muscle found the malevolent scent it was searching for the tongue slowly withdrew back into the serpent’s mouth. What was that scent? Life? Death? The line between those two? Only the tiny viper knew, but would not say. The two black stripes within his amber eyes lengthen slightly. The ghost colored boy was saving his examination of this realm known as death for a few more years when he had mastered a few jutsu. It was probably to be saved for a time against the little imp.
If someone was willing to set themselves up as a test subject, why should Shisei object? There was the little inkling of if he died what would happen? That would be the end of the Orochi race. Shisei could care less about that. He needed to live for his selfish needs, but to be stronger one had to risk death. One had to feel death. One had to know it. One had to mold death into its puppet. One had to take advantage and use that puppet like it was no more than writing an epitaph in a notebook. After all what weakling could kill? What strong person could not? The strong devoured the weak to continue living. It was a fact that few wanted to admit. Although Shisei had to begin to progress. He couldn’t lose again.
“Kill me? Such strong words. I guess I have no choice, but to use extreme measures. Karite you will probably die today.” his voice stated as if trying to restrain an emotion. Just what emotion only the maverick knew. Shisei then flipped up and hopped so high, it seemed like he would begin to flap his pale arms and fly. When his body began to descend both palms gripped fiercely onto the metal beam and held as if an adhesive was put onto the snake’s palms. Shisei’s heart was beginning to pulse quicker. Karite… the one who took the name of the Reaper as his own. If Shisei could cause death today, he’d be one step closer in controlling the Grim Reaper as his own puppet.

Shisei managed to grip the bar, but his form did not move an inch. The small skeleton remained frozen. This was because the serpent youth still kept malevolent thoughts to himself. The challenge awoken some certain ideas he would like to do to both Karite and Tanu-kun. Perhaps a few other students. The snake child contemplated for so long that his arms became wearisome from holding the position and he dropped from the bar after a minute. Both feet managed to keep the rest of his torso upright but the hurt appendage took most of his weight. This caused the snake child to make a small grunt. The cringed expression of death lust dissipated into the passive uncaring look face that everyone has come to know him for. Shisei regained control of the ill provoking thoughts that were circulating through his head. That also was an unwanted distraction. For the Orochi loner to succeed his mind need to clear everything else.
