Sam roleld her eyes playfully. "way to point out the obvious Joey." she said. No matter what had happened between her and Joey she wanted to stay close to him. She gave him a hug to greet him, not quite what she normally did but she was in such a happy and energetic mood. It was like she was drunk off of Atem. She was so much happier then when she was dating Joey. This was how it really felt to have a boyfriend that she loved. When Yugi and Akiko opened the door she looked at them, saying good morning. She noticed Yugi was blushing and looking like he was awkwardly standing as to hide soemthing. "What have you two been up to?" She asked with a smirk as if her and Atem were complete saints and innocent.
Yugi smiled. "I love you too." He said and kissed Akiko back, for once not being so happy to have Joey come over. He hoped he wouldnt have to wait to long to be with Akiko like that again. When they opened the door he smiled at his friends. "Good morning." He replied back. He then noticed that he had a slight problem in his pants. Aparently he got a bit too excited. He tried to stand as to hide this problem as his face blushed darkly. Aparently sam noticed. He only blushed further and then looked at Joey to change the conversation quickly. "So, whats up Joey? You feel better since yesterday?" He asked hopefully, being his cheerfull self, maybe even a bit more cheerfull. What a way to start the day. He thought to himself.

Akiko walked out after Yugi and stood to form the circle. "Good morning everybody," she smiled. She then looked at Sam when she teased them a bit, Akiko could hide a forming smile. So she put Kitsu to her face and nibbled on his ear cutely as a response. She turned her attension to Joey, hoping everything went ok last night.
"Akiko, you slept over too?" he said dumbly as well. He especially didn't believe her and Yugi did something- he saw them as being too innocent [[lol not]]. He also didn't even notice Yugi's situation. However, he bit his lip at Yugi's question. What would he tell them? He got drunk and got screwed? He frowned a bit- deciding if it was ok to tell them or to perhaps, tell a white lie. "Um, I'm ok- I guess," he lied. Why couldn't he tell them? He beat himself up more for the fact he couldn't tell the truth.
Akiko stared at him. He was obviously hiding something. She continued to just stare until he told them the truth.
Joey saw the stare given to him. He growled a bit at her in a playful manner, "What?! Why do you do that to me!?"
Atem kept his eyes on Joey- wanting to know if he was ok as well. He didn't even mind that Sam hugged him, after all- Joey was gay. They were all friends anyway so he didn't have to worry about Sam and him. Unlike Yugi, he calmed himself down so he wouldn't have that predicament. "Joey, you can tell us if something is bothering you," he said. He too could tell Joey was first of all, out of it; and second of all, not telling the truth. He became concerned, what did Seto say to him last night? Joey didn't look so good, he had a small bruise on his cheek and his eyes had dark circles under them.

Sam giggled when Akiko responded as she did to her comment. She then focoused her attention back on Joey as Yugi asked him if he was ok after last night. She frowned at Joey's reaction, they could all tell he was lying. "You and Seto didnt work things out?" She asked quietly, not understanding how bad the situation really was. She knew Joey liked Seto a lot but she wasnt sure how her brother felt about Joey. She admired and loved her brother so she never suspected him of hurting Joey. She thought maybe he just rejected him. But after all the hickies and marks on Joey she thought Seto must really like Joey. He never did that with anyone else. She was so confused now.
Yugi felt a little guilty. He was so focoused on Akiko yesterday that he forgot to make sure Joey was invited to sleep over. He didnt even make sure Joey got home ok. What kind of friend was he? Joey walked in to see all of his friends having a sleep over without him for once and he already looked pretty bad. He gasped, noticing the bruise as well as the scratches and other marks that looked like he got beat up. "Whats with that bruise Joey?" he asked worriedly.

Joey heard Sam, he looked away and said in a low voice, "No, we didn't." He wanted to tell his friends what happened, but was really ashamed to. On top of all of that- he didn't want Sam to hear what her brother did. It destroyed his image of Seto, he didn't want to ruin her image as well. He then turned his head to Yugi and places his hand on his face. "The bruise? Oh, some punk kids jumped me when I was walking home," he said unphased- he was used to getting into fights. "The fight didn't last long," he said making it look like he took care of them- but he in truth couldn't remember.
Akiko looked worried. She didn't believe the story about the kids jumping Joey. "A group jumped you?" she repeated while raising her eyebrow. Honestly, she thought Seto hit him. If it was a group of kids, then wouldn't he have more damage? Joey was a good fighter, but still.
Joey looked at Akiko and repeated back to her, "Yea, a group of punks." He narrowed one brow at her. She didn't believe him already? But that was the actual truth! Or was it? Now he wasn't sure- afterall, he was drunk. Maybe Seto beat him up, god he didn't know. Why did he have to drink last night?
Atem could believe that a group jumped him and Joey got away with minimal damage. He knew Joey was a good fighter. Atem needed to know more to make any type of judgement. "What happened when you went up to Seto last night Joey?" he asked him. Joey looked like he needed to talk to them, but he was still resisting to tell them at the same time. Atem felt bad for him, Joey never acted like this. His pride must be hurting for him to act so set back. He looked at Yugi, knowing he was the most worried out of the group- afterall him and Joey were best freinds.
Akiko was getting worried. What did happen? Joey wasn't his happy-go-luck self. Her face saddened as she could only imagine what Seto said or did. But she could never imagine what Seto had told Joey this morning.

Sam frowned when he said it didnt work out. But she believed everything he said. She never would think Seto did anything bad to him. Maybe he was just upset that he was rejected? "Dont worry Joey, you'll find someone else. Its not like Seto would be a good boyfriend anyway, right Akiko?" Sam said, trying to make Joey feel better.
Yugi didnt belive Joey either. He didnt trust Kaiba and that's who they last saw him with last night. The story was believable he guessed but there was just something about Joey that seemed different. Like his spirit was broken. His eyes just looked so drained. There was no way a fight, and one that he won, would make him feel this bad so it had to be Kaiba's fault. Yugi heard Atem'squestion and waited for the answer. He gripped Akiko's hand.

Joey looked at them all. This is what he came here for, right? He needed help and he knew his friends would always be here for him. He had to at least tell them part of it- the general idea at least. "Well, when we spoke last night, he basically said he was embarrased about being with me. That's why I was so upset in the limo last night- we were fine that whole say. We got along and Kaiba was actually kind," he said as he saw disbelief on their faces when he said he was 'kind'. He smiled a bit, since it was a funny sight to behold, "No, I'm serious, he was like a whole new Kaiba. And I thought he really.... well..... liked me."
Akiko couldn't help but nod her head when Sam said Seto wasn't a good boyfriend. She then looked at Joey funny when he said Seto was 'kind'. Even when he was faking with Akiko he wasn't 'kind'. She did smile though, hearing they got along well- but it faded into a sad smile- knowing that it didn't work out. "What happen then Joey?" she asked. She felt that if he told them, he would feel better. He wouldn't repress his feelings- which could lead to a dangerous situation. She held Yugi's hand in return.
Joey hesitated for a second to continue, but he then said, "I went home." He paused and looked down around the ground.
Atem looked at him funny as well. 'Kind' and 'Kaiba' don't belong in the same sentence. He couldn't help but think poorly of Kaiba, because of what he told him and Sam. This just made him despise him even more. The worse part was, he was fine with him two days ago- they just ignored one another. Now, they were back to hating one another. He raised his eyebrow again as he asked Joey, "But, you said you were jumped. When did that happen?" He knew it just didn't end with him going home.
Joey looked at Atem, "I didn't stay home. I went back out." He then said in a lower voice, "with a bottle." He diverted his eyes away from the group with shame.
Akiko's eyes widened. "A bottle of what?!" she said fearfully. She wasn't thinking of alcohol. She was thinking something worse- amonia, bleach, bottle of pills? She nearly shouted at him, she was really scared.
Joey jumped a bit when she shouted, "I don't know! Some type of Vodka." Now he felt even worse... maybe he shouldn't have said anything.
Akiko sighed in relief, "Sorry, I just thought..... I didn't think it was alcohol," she said in a worried voice. She then looked back at him with stern eyes. Tjat still didn't excuse him from anything, "But why Joey?"

Sam smiled a little actually when he said Seto was kind. She knew a side of her brother was kind, like how he is with Mokuba and sometimes with her. But she was surprised he would be like that with Joey. But to hear that Seto was embarressed of Joey made her a bit angry at her brother for saying such a thing. "But that doesnt make sense. Why would he hang out with you all day and be... nice.... if he just was embarressed of you?" She asked confused. She knew Seto was manupulative but it just didnt make sense to her. When she saw them kissing she really thought Seto liked Joey back but then why would he reject him? "Vodka?" She repeated but didnt say anything more. She liked alcohol herself. She never told them that because she knew how Joey's father was. But Sam liked to get drunk when she dealt with problems and heart ache too. She had actually been drinking since she was like 14. It helped her forget about her parents and whatever other problems she had to deal with. she hadnt drank in a while though because of Joey. So she understood why he would drink.
Yugi blinked, thinking he heard Joey wrong when he said Kaiba was kind. Kaiba just wasnt kind. Yugi was starting to hate Kaiba even more. he had forgave him once he had Akiko but now with everything he was making Joey go through he was starting to hate Kaiba again. His big eyes got even wider when Joey said he had a bottle of vodka. "Vodka?! Joey why would you-?! You could have gotten hurt worse." He said, terribly worried about his friend.

Atem didn't reply to Joey. He figured he didn't need everybody harping on him- he came here for help after all. Although he couldn't believe that Joey would do that. Joey had never drank before- because of his father especially. He must have been truely upset to try and drink his problems away. Yes, Atem was against such actions, but Joey was going through a lot.
He knew at least one of his friends would be upset about it. He assumed Akiko thought something worse then alcohol. Joey was upset but not that upset to such a thing. He glanced at Yugi but continued to look away. "I...." Joey said but wasn't sure how to continue his sentence, "I just wanted to forget about it....." His eyes dimmed as he closed them. "But when I went back out, that's when I got into the fight," he answered Atem's original question. He still left out that Seto came to help him, for now at least.
Akiko looked at Joey empathetically. Though she strongly disagreed with using alcohol to resolve problems, she wouldn't yell at him. Yelling would acomplish nothing. "Joey, if something like that happens again- just call any of us up ok? We can't make you forget it happened, but we can make you feel better, ok?" she said comfortingly. She smiled so he would feel better.
Joey opened his eyes and looked back at the group. Hearing comforting words did make him feel better.

"Well at least you got home alright..." Sam said, just happy that he was ok and with them now. She felt the need to confront her brother and ask him why he hurt Joey like that but she didnt want to make matters worse.
Yugi smiled a little and nodded as Akiko spoke. "She's right Joey. No matter what, we'll always be here for you." He said supportively, trying to supress how worried he was now about his best friend. They had been together for so long now, through so many things. Joey was always there to support him so now he had to do the same for Joey.
((I was thinking maybe we should have Mai or someone come back for Joey and Seto get jealous and that will finally make him want to date Joey))

[[heh, sounds good. He'll finally admit it to Joey. And Joey will go out with (or at least hang around) Mai because he feels he can't be with anybody else.]]
Atem nodded as well, "Yes Joey. We're all here for one another." He then added to what Sam said, "I'm glad you got home ok as well. You, were able to get home ok last night, right?" Now he was curious, did he make it home ok? He didn't want to think Joey fell asleep on the street or anything like that. Atem was starting to feel bad as well- they should have asked Joey to come with them last night. But he was so upset with Kaiba and wanted to get sam out of there last night. Besides, he saw Joey approach Kaiba last night. If they had stopped them then, Joey may have refused to come- wanting to talk to Kaiba. He still felt like that wasn't the whole reason why Joey felt so horrible. But perhaps he shouldn't push him.
"Thanks guys," Joey said to all four of them. He then looked at Sam and said, "Er.... well.... I got home this morning, not last night." He couldn't stop now, he felt better everytime he told them something- it was like confession. But he still had to remember not to tell them what he did. He could just skip that part. He could tell them Seto found him and brought him home. Then he basically told him that he didn't want him. In his mind that worked- but he didn't realize that would cause even more confusion.
"Wha..... what does that mean?" Akiko said scared about the answer. Not only could Joey have hurt himself seriously, but he could have gotten in a lot of trouble if he was caught in public intoxicated. He was lucky he wasn't in jail. But, what he said- she hoped he didn't mean that he slept outside all night. Akiko gulped.

"What? What do you mean you didnt get in until this morning? I thought you won the fight, how come you didnt get home?" Yugi asked, concern shown heavily in his voice.
Sam frowned. "You didnt sleep outside right Joey?" Sam said, jumping to conclusions. She never would have thought Seto would go after Joey so she assumed Joey lost conciousness. "Maybe we should get you to a doctor, how much did you drink?" She asked worriedly.

Joey chuckled a bit, "Oh no, I'm fine- I had a bad headache but that's all," he said to Sam about going to the doctor. He wouldn't see a doctor even if he wasn't ok. It was a guy thing. "I guess I won the fight- I don't know. But, in the end Kaiba found me and brought me back to his house," Joey said. He then said quickly so they wouldn't ask, "I don't know what happened last night after that- I don't remember."
"Well that's a bit of a coinsidense...." Akiko said. "But still so confusing. Why would Seto help you out after telling you he didn't like you, which didn't make sense in the first place because you and him had a really good time the other day. Ah! And they say women are difficult!" Akiko said. She then smiled and said optimistically, "I think he likes you. He's just being dumb."
"No, trust me- he doesn't like me. Not at all," Joey said not wanting to hear optimism because it wasn't true.
"I don't think he would say things like that if he liked him Akiko," Atem said. He was confused in Kaiba's actions as well. Especially why he was even out. He gulped a bit, hopefully he wasn't out looking for Sam- realizing she was gone. He held her hand- thinking about the horrible idea. But, he couldn't have been, he would have came to his house- Kaiba knows where they live. "Why was Kaiba out in the first place Joey? And how do you know he absolutely doesn't like you anymore?" he asked.
Joey looked at Atem and shrugged. "I dunno. No idea why he was out- but he said he found me," Joey said. He then quickly plotted out how he was going to tell his friends the next part. "This morning, I mentioned about being together. Kaiba declined. And, he basically told me that he wasn't interested in me to start with- just.... I dunno. He said he's just not interested. That.... he thought I would be..... 'easy'," he said looking at the ceiling- keeping his eyes diverted from the group but no longer wanted to look down. "And that's the story...." Joey said.
Akiko's eyes narrowed slightly. Great, Seto was going to use him. She assumed Joey said no to Seto since Seto said no to an actual relationship. It didn't even cross her mind that Seto screwed him last night while drunk- which in reality he didn't but she didn't even think of the lie itself.
Atem rolled his eyes a bit. Figures..... that just figures. As much as he was angry are Kaiba, he pitied him. He could be a much happier person if he just let go and find somebody special- whether it be Joey or somebody else. Somebody that would loosen him up- Kaiba really was too uptight. "Joey, you'll find somebody else. I'm sure of it. Don't dwell on it too much- ok?" Atem said though it was a bit hypacritical of him. He dwelled on Sam for a long time- but that was because he never asked her- thus she never denied him. His situation wasn't like Joey's, Joey's was much worse. He didn't see any hope for Joey with Kaiba- not until Kaiba learned to be compassionate.
Grandpa yelled up from downstairs, "Breakfast is ready!"
"I smell pancakes!" Akiko said as she was about to run down stairs but Joey grabbed her by the back of her shirt. "Hey! What gives. You heard G-pa," she said.
"You knwo Grandpa doesn't know either of you girls slept over last night," Joey said as he then smiled. He felt better enough to tease- he smirked and smiled evilly at the two.
"He could always make for the two of us," Akiko said completely missing the point. It went quite over her head.

Sam smiled happily when Joey first started his story. Seto found him and brought him home! that meant to her that Seto really did like him and was just to non-human to admit it. She really wanted them to be together. Her smile fell and her mouth hung agape when he finished. Saying that Seto only thought Joey was easy. She stammered a little angrily. "That b*****d!" She said angrilly, clenching her fist. She couldnt believe her brother said that. It was so, so irritating. She crossed her arms, now feeling even more angry at Seto then she was last night. She heard grandpa and her stomach growled. She smiled at Atem and went to go down stairs, until Joey pointed out that he didnt know they were there. "Uh oh..." She hit her forehead with the palm of her hand dumbfoundedly when Akiko said he could make more. "Akiko how would your parents react if they found Yugi sleeping in your room without them knowing?" She tried to explain.
Yugi raised an eyebrow. Why would Seto go after Joey. Maybe he did like him. Yugi was hoping for a happy ending but it ended up being worse then he thought. "joey..." He said sadly. He didnt know what to say to Joey. "We'll be right down!" He called to he grandfather, not thinking. He stopped and pulled Akiko back. "Oh right... um..." He looked at Atem. "What should we do?"
((Maybe when they head down Yugi should pull Joey back and ask him if he let Seto do anythign to him just to make sure that Joey didnt have sex with Kaiba after he said he was easy. Then Joey can tell Yugi what Kaiba did and then Yugi can tell akiko, then akiko will talk to kaiba, then mai will come, seto will stalk Joey and get jealous))

"My dad would kill him," she replied to Sam in a cheerfull tone. She then stopped to think and said in a sad playfull tone, "Oh wait, that's not good..... That made me sad." Personally, she couldn't let the fact sink in that Seto wanted to screw Joey and that was it. Although, it seemed highly. Afterall, he used her to make it look like he was straight. She walked along with Yugi and looked at Joey, "I'm sorry you were led on like that Joey- I understand. But it was worse for you..." She just hoped Joey could move on- he took a hard hit. If only somebody could talk some sense into Seto- it would be hard though- he doesn't seem to want to listen.
Atem sweetdropped at Sam and Akiko. He put his hand on his chin and thought for a moment. "We can either bring breakfast up here, but even so the girls have to go down stairs to leave or Grandpa could come up here to see them. Or, we could just let them go down stair and tell Grandpa the truth. Or we can bend the truth a little- just say that the girls slept in one room and we slept in the other. But, I don't really like lying to Grandpa," Atem said. It was true, he didn't really like lying to him or friends. It didn't sit right with him.
"I say we just go down there- G-pa won't mind. We didn't do anything, we didn't sleep in the same beds...." Akiko said although she lowered her voice about the bed thing. Well, it was true in her case- her and Yugi didn't sleep on the same bed- they slept on the ground. "Or we can make it look like we just came over," she said with a shrugg, throwing ideas around.
"Sure you didn't do anything," Joey teased.
Akiko mimiced Joey- repeating what he said in an exagerated tone of voice to tease him back. She stuck her tongue out at him. They could tell, could they? Nah.
[[I was thinking Akiko should find out since she's going to eventually talk to him- but having Yugi find out first seems more fun. ^ ^ Heheh, stalking Mai- I can see him doing that. So possessive- yet so in denial.]]

((sorry I gtg to bed I'll post in the morning, so should Akiko and Yugi saty back to talk to Joey or maybe Joey should ask Akiko if Seto ever tried anything like that with her since she dated him before? ))
