Serena was about to run away, but the hypnotizing grieving look in his eye forced her to take a step forward. She hesitated, widening her eyes at the impulse of her movement. "Why do you want to help me?" Serena asked nervously, taking another step forward. The movement of her step was so careful and presise, her foot dragged against the dirt and gravel torwards the mysterious stranger.

Devon reappeared back to where serena was.
"i want to help because... im in a group of survivors... just trust me"
Devon reappeared back in the house.
"hey what room is this..."

while Devon looked for an exit he saw Elia on the floor.
"heh so thats where you went."

"Okay." Serena replied without thinking. She followed Devon into a brown and rusty house of some sort that almost looked like a barn house. She gazed at the black shadowing walls that boxed her in like a cage when she opened the worn out squeaky door to follow Devon. The rug was an ugly brown and the furniture was very antique. Many things in there was breakable: vases, lamps, flower pots, glass items. Blood red curtains were drooping from a tall window, darkening the flower pot next to it with it's shadow. Serena looked farther and saw a kitchen with black and white flooring. It wasn't very organized, books and dishes were scattered on the dark brown table, the cream colored countertops were not clean, and the sink was overloading with plates and bowls. Everytime Serena examined the room, it felt like it was getting tighter every second.

Nell lounged on the spacious park bench with her hands behind her head, staring up at the cloudy sky. A loud scraping noise was heard echoing throughout the streets that made Nell sit up quickly, startled. For a moment, she wasn't sure of what to do; investigate the strange noise, or just stay there lazily. Nell had decided, she scurried out of the empty park clearing and peered around to find several decaying-looking people dragging an apparent unconscious, dark haired girl across the ground. Nell gasped and frantically looked about for a source of help. Spotting a seemingly heavy and large rock on the cement sidewalk, she snatched it up and whipped it at zombie's head, making it stop in it's tracks. Nell threw several more and grabbed the girl from the disgusting looking mutants, hurrying into her apartment and setting her down on an empty chair nervously. She had basically kidnapped someone. . .though for a good reason.

Ria paced in a hall way not knowing what to do at the moment.

Alathea had just got in to a defensive position when Devon reappeared and attacked the mutant. She sheathed her knives but didn't let up from her crouched position, she didn't like how Devon kept going into her mind, she was feeling less and less comforted by his presence. He was going to have to be serious to get her to trust him.
"Why won't it die? Can't we just lock it back up in here or should we take it outside?"

Alathea put her hand on top of Devons and and gave it a squeeze.
"Thanks, now I think Terry's idea of getting out of the basement is a good idea. I guess we should see how Elia and Ria are going, make sure there aren't any mutants roaming around outside."
Alathea moved over to Terry and grabbed his hand, "Let's go."
