Its like a video game that has a better storylline than most books from professional authors from the last fifty-five years.
If it were an anime, I'd die.

^^ painful.
Jason, I don't think it's wise for me to respond to your post at the moment. ^^ A long silence is not becoming of Meil.

that's debatable.
personally the storyline wasn't that overly impressive to me. but then again, I never found Kefka all that intimidating as a villan. thoughtout most the game he seemed to me more comedic than villainous. things like making his escort brush sand off his boots while walking through a desert kinda made the transition for comedic/treacherous flunkie to super badass villian seem a bit too much to swallow.

Of all teh FFs that came out since, FFVI has the fewiest plot holes, doesn't relly on bishonen, and has more depth to a greater number of characters.
Comedy is heavy in the early parts of the game, but Tragedy becomes more forward as time progresses. Horror has a minor appearance, and phsycological soul searching becomes progressively more constant. Romance is less generic than FFX. The villian Kefka does play a very strange role, as his character progresses through the game making it hard to connect him at different points, which makes him more human than someone who is constantly doing the same thing in the same way.
A healthy dose of Plot twists, and a healthy presence of continuity. The final battle is more or less expected, and not an unforeseen hiether to entity that devalues the game as a whole *cougffixcough*
Though, I would have to say that I am personally more threatened by Sephiroth than Kefka.

I retract my earlier statement: I may have unintenionally included Comic Books (Manga) in the liturature of the Last 55 years that is inferior to the plot of FFVI.

Hmmm game's storylines ... I'd say I loved the story line for Final Fantasy X, it was cute.
I also liked the story line for Legend of Dragoon and Chrono Cross alot.
Chrono Trigger, Seiken Densetsu 3 ermmm.. yeah.
